@@mann8846 Direct3D11 does not have raytracing, what they call "raytracing" in Crysis3 is a rasterized global illumination, just like the one in Kingdom Come Deliverance (which uses the same engine). In fact with the way Direct3D11 is structured - actual hardware raytracing of RTX and RX6000+ isn't possible there.

What you are trying to say is the use of AVX3 (aka AVX512) (which ONLY a handful of Intel desktop CPUs support apart from their HEDT+server counterparts) and this doesn't matter that much. AMD has only managed to introduce AVX3 on Ryzen 7000 which matches to that of i9 12900K non-AVX3 version on RPCS3. So no. AVX3 can improve performance but the core clock + ring bus is much more important. Just wait for 13th Gen RPCS3 benchmarks to come out.

Yes it is but this game like many don't use ray tracing to it potential even shadow of the tomb raider used it very lightly. Just imagine if this was used to its full proper potential but we just don't have the hardware yet for it and this is an old game compared to what we get today thats coming out and being played on a 4090 and ray tracing with maxed out in 4k making this game looks so old visually and obsolete to what we get now with ray tracing. I have a 4090 and 10850k; there are some bottlenecks in very demanding games at 4k + ray tracing, otherwise, it's still an incredible experience. Your proposed CPU would yield some performance gain, but at a big cost.

That's exactly my same question. I think it depends. If you play VR then yes it's worth it but for flat Games I doubt it. I am getting tripple digits in every game with the 4090 and 9900k. Only resident evil 2 VR mod by praydog doesn't run well with the 9900k
depends which gpu and resolution you play .... if you have a good mobo and good cooler you can overclock the i9 9900 to take a Little bit plus perfomance before change platform

@@Bang4BuckPCGamer eh hardware global illumination was there long before raytracing, in fact it was added to CryEngine at the time of Hunt and KCD, which is some years before raytracing - but calling it "raytracing" in settings is misleading even if global illumination requires casting a "ray" between two polygons to determine their brightness. Unreal Engine 5 does similar thing with Lumen but what we call 'raytracing' it isn't. The huge difference between GI and raytraced illumination is apparent in Metro Exodus, which features both.

Congratulations on getting your card. To be honest pretty much all RTX 4090's have the potential to reach 3GHz as long as you can keep them cool enough. I would say the Gigabyte Gaming OC could overclock as good or better than my Suprim X

Like in killzone 2, shooting electric currents so you enter a door lol, like really? Why even put that in there. Crysis isn't a bad series but i had much more fun with resistance and killzone series. You die easy in crysis and the guns aren't that great. I think the best ones are the feline, the x43 Mike, Hammer packs a punch and there's like one more i like to use. And the suit doesn't even have a poop chute, so I guess while this guy is wasting aliens all day he is running around with poop in his thong

Í'm in the same boat, starting to notice CPU bottleneck in certain games at 3440x1440p. Specifically in demanding games such as Cyberpunk.
