I have a question.. I had a new after market radio installed in my 2012 Nissan Versa and ever since then I've been having trouble with my car starting when it wants to. I have took it ti the mechanic shop and they can't figure out what it is I've spent thousands at this point trying to fix the issue and after reading the part about the Nissans not having a ground wire maybe the guy who installed it didn't extend the wire to the dash .. do u believe this is what's causing my cat to not start up at times? I need help
I have a 2019 Nissan Altima I would like to find my speaker wire So I can connect it to my amp Do u mind giving me a run down of the speakers wire code

I have a 2015 Versa. There are 4 sets of connectors on the back of the radio. A grey one with 3 connections, a white one with 30 pins, a black one with a mini-USB socket, and another white one with 20-pins. Where can I find a diagram to explain what these are and what color wires go into them? Please help, it’s very frustrating! Thx
Metra electronics makes the wiring harness that connect to factory wiring and they make it as easy as connecting same colors together They take the guess work out of the install Call them
I have a 2015 Versa note and would like to know the functions of the other wires on the connector and the secondary connector. I am installing an xtrons 2din radio and need to know the more advanced functions of the wires. If you guys have a diagram or a video showing the rest of the wire functions that would be awesome.
If your installing a new stereo I suggest purchasing the aftermarket wiring harness for your vehicle. This info is good if you have had the factory vehicle connector cut off or you are adding something that requires you to tap into the 12 volt or acc wire. Company called Metra car audio makes all the connectors for the vehicles. Makes install way easier.
I am working on installing a line out converter on a 2008 Nissan Titan Se it does not have the rockford fosgate system but it is the six cd changer. would any of these wires be the same?
What is the black wire that is between the ignition and illumination wire? All wires except For that black one are connected to my aftermarket radio. The radio turns on but no sound comes out. Could it be because of the black wire?
+hannah schaefer usually if a stereo turns on and has no sound is because the amp turn on wire is not connected. That's your factory amplifier. It need a Switched 12 volts to turn on.
+hannah schaefer make sure your remote turn on wire also known as a Amp turn on wire is connected to your stereo amp turn on wire from the vehicle specific harness you bought
connectedcaraudio is that black wire the factory amp turn on wire? I had it connected to the harness wire labeled '' power amp'' and the sound still did not come out.
my cousin has a 2015 versa and i installed subs and amp in it with the stock stereo using a convertor, got it all hooked up working great until he turns his headlights on, then there is a humming coming from the sub, and as he speeds up it gets louder. suggestions?
Im installing an aftermarket stereo to my nissan versa and I dont know where to plug the grnd. Also I have a black double wire comming from the back of the steering wheel that I dont know what is for, is it plugged to ground ? Or is it some sort of power cable?. (My car had another aftermarket stereo wich I didnt installed). I can provide photos of it if needed. Thanks in advance.
There's also a 16-pin steering wheel control connector from the factory wiring harness. Does anybody know where I can get the male 16 pin connector or pigtail
It's easiest if you have a aftermarket stereo and send the rca out to the rca in on the infinity basslink . If you have stock stereo you will need to tap into one of the factory speaker wire for signal, you will still need to run a Power wire to the battery and ground the basslink to the chassis of the vehicle. Your last thing is how to get a remote turn on wire for the amp,im not sure if the bass link Has a auto sensing turn on from the speaker input or if you need to tap into a wire for remote turn on. If you have aftermarket stereo you can use the amp turn on wire for it tap into a factory wire that turn 12 volts when the key is in the acc position
Where your ebrake is there you will see a single wire That is generally your ebrake wire You can test with multimeter You should see ground when ebrake is engaged
How 'bout it, y'all. Listen, I'm having an issue with my system and I can't find anything about it online. I'm hoping someone here may be able to shed some light on things. First, I'm rookie at all this, it was my first install. I have 2 Rockford Fosgate (RF) 12's in a RF box and a 1500W Planet Audio (PA) mono amp. Everything sounded good the past couple months, but recently it was brought to my attention that my "1500w" amp was only producing maybe 300 watts. My RF's are 500w RMF, so this past weekend I tried to strap two PA mono amps together but couldn't get either to come on. So, I disconnected everything and rehooked up the one amp, etc. It's not working anymore, though. And what I mean by that is that most of the time the amp doesn't power on, and when it does, I'll try hooking the RCA's in and it immediately powers off. Both PA amps, I've tried both. I'm running a factory Head Unit and so I'm also using a 2-channel Line Out Converter (LOC). I've replaced every single thing that was involved. I bought a new LOC, RCA's, remote wire, ground & both power wires (one from battery to amp, the 2nd from LOC to amp). I switched to a 1000w Pioneer amp and at first it came on and worked. 30 seconds later it went into protect mode and wouldn't come out. I even tried different subs, 2 MTX Terminator 12's. No blown fuses. Everything is basically brand new, just a couple months old (except the Pioneer amp). I had the LOC wired to the wires of the left rear factory speaker and the speaker still plays but my voltage readings for the left rear and right rear speakers are drastically different. Left is picking 23+ volts on a 12volt battery, and the right Is only pulling 8 volts on the same 12 volt I just don't know, y'all. Any help?
1:11 idk man. 2012 Sentra has a black wire (same spot as the metra wire harness, ground). I️ did a continuity test from the factory black wire and chasis and was a closed loop. Not sure why everybody grounds to the chasis.
I just changed front speakers on a 2015 versa, the color of the wires on each side were the same, pink, gray. Does anyone know if it is different at the head unit? Also this car did not come with rear door speakers and there is no wiring, is there wiring at the head unit? It will be a drag to have to tie into the front and lose the power, weak enough as it is.
hey was up man thanks for the video. I have static noise coming out of my speakers. I dont know why I have checked all the connections but im still stuck what can I do? I have a 2017 Nissan Versa S w/aftermarket stereo and amplifier. anything will help THKS
in a versa 15 the front speaker wires on both sides are gray and pink and you do not come across the positive and negative. Can you help me tell me what is positive and negative?
Hi there. I Have a 2014 versa note sv and I am trying to put in a pioneer AVH-280BT and a idatalink maestro sw for the stering wheel controls... the codes in your video did not work on mine... there are some extra wires and I got no power to the system. also there is another plug full of wires. Know any place I can find a diagram? thanks!
+Fart Satan I haven't had any experience with the maestro as I use metra interfaces. Is the sw only a steering wheel interface? From the website that what I was understanding. If so your cutting into or tapping into the wires? For power and stuff?
Thanks for replying... Hard to find any info on this... Yes, maestro is for the steering wheel volume, etc. the diagram for it seems to be good, I'm just having issues with hooking up the stereo at this point. Alot of the wires from your video are there, but there are also some others in the same pin spots that are a little off, plus another plug with 7 or so wires from the original stereo and have had no luck finding a diagram for this one at all. Your video was really close to what I have, so I thought you might have some ideas. thanks again so much for replying.
+Fart Satan if the mastereo is only for the steering wheel controls your best bet would be to purchase the additional stereo wiring interface for your specific vehicle. It would avoid any splicing or cutting of the original factory harness. This will make install extremely more simple. Call th folks that make the mastereo and ask them about the stereo interface for the vehicle
Is this correct for the 2014 Versa Note (redesign of the hatchback from the 2014-up model years)? If so, is one of those wires connected to the Vehicle Speed Sensor? My stereo won't let me use Wireless CarPlay unless I connect to the speed sensor, but I don't know what wire that is, inside the car.
