Man I just got a little break from my CIEs and I was really tensed about the upcoming CS examination, and this video popped up like a BLESSING!!!! May you live a long and healthy life and may you prosper always!!! This video was veerryyyy helpppfuuullll!!!!!
Question 1 b) Indexing should be 0:49 (This contains 50 names) or 1 to 50 (also contains 50 names) we either used zero-based indexing 0:50 would contain 51 names
In case if we are starting the position from 0 , we can end it on 49 ....then also it will work for 50 times .. So 1. 0-49 2. 1-50 Both will work 50 times and that is what our requirement is
You are a LEGEND, I knew nothing before as my teachers were bad but u helped so much, I took paper 1 and I think I will get at least 55 out of 75, tomorrow I'm sitting paper 2 and I really think I will smash it. I really appreciate your content.
i have paper2 in 7hrs and i havent done anything😭 literally regretting choosing computer science for gcse but ur vid helped a lot😞 just hoping i dont get below 50%…^^
The new thing is that they are giving us candidates a unseen scenario question which is 15 marks at the end of the paper which you can use pseudocode or programming languages
The purpose of the specimen papers is to show how certain topics of the syllabus will be examined. It is a good resource for practicing questions but you will definitely see other types of questions when you write the exam.
Not too late at all! We want to change the value of Number every time the loop goes around (otherwise we'd run into an infinite loop). We write it after the ENDIF since we want the IF statement to check if the previous number is >= 100 first. Hope that helps!
@@igcsecs I am sorry but can you break it down further ,I am confused at the fact that there are input number in the code one outside loop one inside . Ps I am not good at coding
Update I understood my own question.due to my own stupidity I didn't know what meant so as far as I can tell if 200 enters the loop ,as this number is not 999 it will never leave the loop as only 999 can interrupt /stop the loop. Hence we added Input after endif so to change values untill 999 is entered to stop the loop Ps if the uploader reads this please explain what I did but better
I was also lost but let me make you understand too. In pseudocode all indexing begins with a 0. We know that it needs to output 50 names from the array 'Name[ ]'. Therfore, it must loop 50 times to output all of the names required but it also needs to loop once more so that it can meet the condition: 0 to 50. I think using a while loop would be easier to understand just like in the ms of the paper. What I did: x = 0 WHILE x < 50 DO OUTPUT Name[x] x
The number must be input in every iteration of the while loop. The first number is input on line 1, which is checked by the while loop condition and the if statement. Then the next number is input after the if statement and we loop back to the beginning of the while.

@@ayyubkhan8222 yea i was confused , thanks for clarifying
ooooh thx a lot, i wouldve mistook it in the exam as the same as python which is exclusive
In case if we are starting the position from 0 , we can end it on 49 ....then also it will work for 50 times ..
So
1. 0-49
2. 1-50
Both will work 50 times and that is what our requirement is
thanks for uploading this video man, it means a world to me at this moment as iam preparing for my igcse.

Paper 2 Literally in 3 Hours, and here I am.
@bilal silat BRO THE LAST QUESTION WAS SO LONG
Hi! In question 12, why is y= 16. If letter “f” is in position 14?
Thanks for the question! Spaces count as characters as well (32 in the ASCII table) so if you include them in your count, "f" is at position 16.

isnt q11 part a 7? is rows the horizontal and fields the vertical columns? so the field should be 20 and records 7 right?

The purpose of the specimen papers is to show how certain topics of the syllabus will be examined. It is a good resource for practicing questions but you will definitely see other types of questions when you write the exam.
Sorry to ask this late but why do we have to write Input number after end if in q5
Not too late at all! We want to change the value of Number every time the loop goes around (otherwise we'd run into an infinite loop). We write it after the ENDIF since we want the IF statement to check if the previous number is >= 100 first. Hope that helps!

Monday ko paper ha pseudocode bilkul nahi ata yarr koi recommendation??
for the second q it has to be 0 to 49 or 1 to 50 , puttting 0 to 50 will loop 51 times

In pseudocode all indexing begins with a 0. We know that it needs to output 50 names from the array 'Name[ ]'.

What I did:
x = 0

OUTPUT Name[x]

@@kibiew Thanks for explaining! Loop exit conditions can be a bit difficult to understand.
38:21 how is f in position 16? isnt it 14?
hii! ik its a very late answer but the spaces count too!
oh ok, thanks!@@niggaCHANN
please do the same for the second specimen paper, the entire paper esp Q7

I think the creator can tell when the exams are by seeing when the video spikes in views
haha🤣 , Me just see comments hours ago for the first time
your 1.b. question's answer is wrong. it should be "FOR Index
your correct
May i ask why the input number code has to be after the end if? q5 and thanks for the video
It's should be outside IF ELSE statement but inside the WHILE loop
The number must be input in every iteration of the while loop. The first number is input on line 1, which is checked by the while loop condition and the if statement. Then the next number is input after the if statement and we loop back to the beginning of the while.
For question 11 c, Can the genre be char?
The 'char' datatype contains single characters eg. 'A' or 'f'. Text is used in this case as the Genre fields contain data with multiple characters
Is this for the Aice exam or something else.
