you want both. if all you have is barrel cam half of your footage will be of the ground while you're looking around or running. if all you have is a mask mount you'll have a bunch of footage of the back of your hopper and won't be able to see anything else. get both and do the editing to mix them together. it's worth it. also, i hate the mounts with 3 screws. 2 for the mount and 1 for the camera. the mount has to be fully adjusted with the camera off and that's less than ideal. the 1 screw mounts the mount and the camera and are much easier to use. just btw.
I use the HK Army goggle mount for longest time. I also use two on my marker, one for selfie and other for "scope cam".

I personally just use a GoPro head strap , so that I can always record funny moments and not have my mask on
Never been a fan of them. Footage is never really great, often hard to follow.
