Love it. Great story Jon, had a similar run in with him at GP, same group, similar time frame to trial. I was with my wife and we were invited to sit with one of our trainer friends who had a table upstairs. My wife and I walk in and see him sitting there , OJ, we both look at each other in disgust at the group hanging out with him. We both comment LGTFOH... didn't want to be seen or associated with anyone in his company. We walked away and just could not fathom the women hanging all over him??

Another great story Jon. If memory serves, you told the Pete Rose story & my personal favorite thus far, the shirt and jeans story, at the end of a PTW seminar. Nobody does it better!

Great story...you could absolutely write a book of short stories from the racetrack: my days at the races.

It DOES matter, Jon, and your actions in that moment confirm my belief that you are a class act-a real stand-up guy (or, in this case, a real don’t sit down at my table kind of guy). You’ll always be remembered in my book as the fella who went out of his way to try to figure out a way for me to get in on last year’s seminar. And who also strengthened my resolve on Mage-the first Derby winner I’ve had in years. Good fortune to you always.

The great handicapper Pittsburg Phil's first rule was to never socialize or drink @ the racetrack.

You were 1000% right on both counts: Charlie knew you never let anybody sit at your table and definitely not OJ. OJ had to learn that just because he got away with murder, it didn’t mean that he could still enjoy his old status.
And the way you tell the story, even if the murders never happened, he wasn’t going to sit at your table. Period.

This is an off subject question.... Please excuse me if this question pisses you off. Not my intentions. Yet! no one in this world could blame me for asking you this.
When it comes to buying exacta's how would one know when the payout will be over a hundred????

You can look at the will pays or judge by the odds of both horses. That’s a fair question
