Almost all of these stories seem to be cases of "I failed to trust my spidey sense." When I was a teenager, I was walking through a mall parking lot with several friends and my sister, maybe about 5 of us in total. The parking lot was fairly empty as this was a mostly dying mall, but we had walked from our house and were intending to go there and just hang out and eat at the food court. While we were crossing the parking lot (and this was in broad daylight, mind you - probably like 2pm in the afternoon) a large white pickup truck with several men probably in their 20s stop near us and offer to give us a ride. Immediately my spidey sense was tingling. Now, these guys didn't look outwardly menacing. They weren't tattoo-festooned gangster looking guys nor were any of them unusually large or strong-looking. But something was just....off...about them. I just nonchalantly said, "No thanks" without elaborating that we were just heading into the mall which was literally only about 150 meters away at this point. We kept walking and they crept along with their truck, saying "Hey, we're just trying to be nice!" Again, I just said, as politely as possible - "No thanks - we're good, thanks for the offer, though." I said this while locking eyes with the guy who had asked, he was seated in the front passenger seat. I'm not sure what he saw or didn't see when we made eye contact, but strangely, in that moment I was not afraid. I knew that, if these guys bundled out of their truck and either wanted to fight us or try to abduct us - I'd for sure fight them or at least try to protect my sister. I say strangely because normally, I am not a courageous person. Conflict and confrontation are not my strong suit and had I been alone in that situation, I would have been far more fearful and it likel ly would have shown in my face. However, in that particular instance, I felt a wave of calm come over me that I do not ever really recall happening before or since. After he and I locked eyes - and it seemed like a long time even though it was probably only a second or two, he said something to his driver pal and the truck sped away and we walked without further incident into the mall.
I have access to my parents house at any time. It's called getting your own key and keeping it with you. If my parents hid a spare outside, I would just keep the key for myself, and if they had a lockout emergency, just come over to help them at that time.
In the third story that guy was creepy asf! It’s bad enough to see him at one rest stop, but to follow you to the next rest stop and stand outside the door is beyond terrifying! I’m so glad they had the sense to call the police on speaker phone in the tone of voice. I’m glad he left and you were safe! Creeps come after men and women, there are just sick people in the world. Be safe everyone! ❤
it's the type of people in the second story that stop people from trying to help each other, imagine how many good deeds would be done if there wasn't so many bad people in the world my heart goes out too that poor guy and i hope he can recover from this💔
Definitely not in a Wendy’s parking lot at 2am, but generally it’s not that dangerous to help a stranger in most situations. That being said, it’s important to trust your gut and be aware of your surroundings. The guy in the second story was a moron for not immediately driving away after hearing a knock at his window. Way too many red flags about that situation.
9:50 Safety tip: if you’re alone anywhere, with a stranger who needs a boost, and you REALLY wanna help them. I strongly suggest you tell them to give you a minute, lock your car, close your windows call 911 and explain to them the situation. Tell them to send a cop car to make sure nothing sketchy happens while you help them

@@SomeGuyWhoPlaysGames333 the statistics are thrown off because the lower class have endless domestic battles and poor partner sensibilities. I would also never use a “more likely” scenario to base my trust in overtly sketchy situations.

I was riding back from Montana to Seattle late at night (I was 18) and my bonehead boyfriend had weed in the car. We got pulled over at the famous speed trap in Ritzville at 10pm at night, my boyfriend was arrested and the cop sent me home to Seattle by myself. He gave me a really good piece of advice though, he told me never to stop at rest stops at night. Find a 24 hour gas station or pee in a cup. He said I shouldn't even stop at rest stops during the day as a solo female traveler. That piece of advice always stuck with me.
10:53 Jumper cables don’t work like that. They’re used to draw enough power from the donor battery to power the starter motor while you’re turning over the ignition. Not to sit there and charge for 5 minutes.
Then why have I had to leave the dead car sit with jumpers for a few minutes before it would attempt to start after the battery was dead? Because it needed to charge for a bit first?
Karma just doesn't exist, and I personally think it is quite a selfish notion, thinking if I do something good I get something good out of it. If you want to do good just do it, don't expect something from being good, it's just the right thing to do. Also if karma existed then wars where despots win and horrific people shouldn't exist, yet they seem to live for a long time etc.
Nothing scares me more than the stupid people that get themselves into these situations. Don't leave a spare key outside. Don't pull over for anybody especially at 4 in the morning like what?? Thought that was common sense😊
You can't stop to help ANYONE now a days. Karma will come to them. Always Crack your window, get in car quickly, and tell person you'll call for help and leave. Pls don't stop to help! Always trust your intuition, if it doesnt feel right, it isnt! Sorry this happened to you, (person who jumped car), but at least you're alive. ❤
13:24 maybe you should stop believing in karma. Why would you help someone in a parking lot and why would you not leave when they called someone? Situational awareness needs some work
I applaud the person in the third story. His only mistake was not leaving the first bathroom as soon as he saw the other man standing in the corner. I am not judging, though. Hindsight is 20/20
Anytime some random person approaches me, I already know it's for some bull shit. It's ALWAYS something and nothing good. I will literally walk away; which surprises solicitors because they're used to people trying to be polite. I don't care about being polite.
I've been watching your videos all week. You inspire me to do UA-cam. I want to be just like you. You're the best Creator Mr nightmare! Keep up the great work, Mr. Creator.
Lesson of the day: Don’t trust a stranger who knocks on your car window at 4am in an empty parking lot asking you to help them jump start their car. (Not trying to put blame on the person who experienced that, they were probably so tired they didn’t think it through and clearly just wanted to help ❤)
I mean, nah they're kinda stupid for that cause they had enough sense to go "well I believe in Karma so I'll be fucked if I don't help them" also. Care that's right next to the woods is like the biggest red flag, that's on them for not noticing
Yeahhh. If they're that concerned, they'd be calling the local police or the sheriff's office to help the stranger while in the car and denying access to the inside of your vehicle. The person, if they really needed help would've said who they were calling and also have already tried calling the local police station and/or sheriff's office if they don't have insurance to help themself/themselves. Or a tow company if there's a 24/hr one in the area. I say that as someone who's been stranded before in the middle of the night in random parking lots. Even if/especially if its freezing out, its better to stay *in* the car than getting out of it until help arrives.
I've been watching Mr Nightmare since I was in 6th grade and now, I am a grown man listening to his videos while doing college work. Time always goes by the fastest I swear!!
0:39 “reminder, don’t sign a lease with someone that you just recently got in to a relationship with. He was not the person I thought he was” Yea, duh lol, because you didn’t know who he was in the first place 😂 Maybe it’s just me, but I think most of us don’t need that reminder.
I’ve been watching you for years, seriously thank you, I have trouble sleeping but listening to these helps me sleep. Thank you Mr. Nightmare. The best storytelling UA-camr out there.
First story gave me the chills. My fear has always been encountering an intruder in the house who may react violently. Rather than leave a spare key outside your house where someone might find it and use it to enter, you can give a key to someone you trust who lives nearby.
About the second story: good karma isn't a thing if you're about to be a murder victim. Putting yourself in sketchy situations because you're worried about getting "bad karma" is not a good mindset.
They should be asking themselves what they did to deserve getting jacked if they believe in karma... but to be fair it's no different than believing in any other belief system
Jesus, That second story legit pissed me off. I believe in karma as well, but I believe in more in protecting yourself. That late, at a Wendy's parking lot, someone asking for help. Yeah I legit would have told them I got places to be Wendy's is going to open soon, you can ask them when they open or something, and went about my day. 🤦🏾♂️ Im sorry that happened to that individual simply trying to be nice but karma is one thing, if your gut is telling you something, that's when karma goes out the window
First story makes no sense. Why is it cheaper to pay with cash inside than use a card at the pump? Why would you move back home, use a spare key, then put it back outside? Why not just hold onto it? Also, if she was driving her mom’s car, wouldn’t her mom’s key chain have a house key? None of it makes sense.
Paying cash is often a few cents or more savings than if you pay with credit card. That's based on my experience in NY specifically. I think it has to do with processing fees for credit card. Restaurants sometimes also do this. They usually write on the menu or website that there is an upcharge of 5% or whatever for bills payed with a credit card.
Weirdly, the gas station at the corner here is that way. It's a few cents less per gallon. Maybe because then they don't have to pay transaction fees? But I drive at night, and when I've used cash I pay inside first a set amount that the person then adds to the pump number I tell them.
Some days when I’m having really bad days, and I know it’s about to wrap up in my 20 to 30 minute ride home. I usually think to myself this would be perfect if Mr. Nightmare had a video out. And then on the days he post them when I feel like I need them the most he does. This is amazing
@darkrave2977 only because you have a higher rate of interactio with people you know. Some stranger needs help, call them a cab, a tow truck, or an officer/emt. But never get involved unless you know how to competently defend yourself.
You can still help others out..... Just be smart about it For instance, that Wendy's had been closed for a bit probably why was that car there? For another thing why was it parked by the woods? And finally if a situation doesn't feel normal.... That's probably your brain telling you you need to leave, yea your brain has a kind of spidey sense for danger if I understand my highschool psychology class correctly it's usually a good idea to trust that sense.
Story #1: Pedantic: the word is "terrified." "Horrified" is completely different. "Terrified" means you're extremely afraid. "Horrified" means you're extremely revolted or shocked by something you've experienced, but it doesn't necessarily mean you're afraid. Story #2: You're going to put yourself in danger because of a ridiculous concept like karma (and you're not even using it right)?
Or maybe just use common sense instead of believing in whatever fairytales you believe in and don’t ignore the red flags. There’s always the choice to not be dumb and leave

We kept walking and they crept along with their truck, saying "Hey, we're just trying to be nice!" Again, I just said, as politely as possible - "No thanks - we're good, thanks for the offer, though."
I said this while locking eyes with the guy who had asked, he was seated in the front passenger seat.
They sensed you were protected and not afraid 🙏
I have access to my parents house at any time. It's called getting your own key and keeping it with you. If my parents hid a spare outside, I would just keep the key for myself, and if they had a lockout emergency, just come over to help them at that time.
In the third story that guy was creepy asf! It’s bad enough to see him at one rest stop, but to follow you to the next rest stop and stand outside the door is beyond terrifying! I’m so glad they had the sense to call the police on speaker phone in the tone of voice. I’m glad he left and you were safe! Creeps come after men and women, there are just sick people in the world. The second story is why you don't help strangers. You literally can not trust anyone these days!

Safety tip: if you’re alone anywhere, with a stranger who needs a boost, and you REALLY wanna help them. I strongly suggest you tell them to give you a minute, lock your car, close your windows call 911 and explain to them the situation. Tell them to send a cop car to make sure nothing sketchy happens while you help them

Your friend has a good heart, but we can't ignore the risks
@@thefortea She does, but you're right on the risks. And that happened I think in 2018 well before I started listening to these narrations. Now there's no way I'd be ok with it.
Your friend sounds like a future serial killer's victim.
Eh, statistically, she’s more likely to get hurt by somebody she knows, not a random stranger. Despite the heavy emphasis on “stranger danger,” it’s people we know who are a bigger threat to us.
@@SomeGuyWhoPlaysGames333 the statistics are thrown off because the lower class have endless domestic battles and poor partner sensibilities. I would also never use a “more likely” scenario to base my trust in overtly sketchy situations.
I’ve had a hardened military vet tell me a skin walker stories that shook them to the core. It’s one thing to hear stories of missions they’ve went on, some of which were just normal deployment missions. But when you feel the emotion and the fear coming from someone that is literally trained to kill. That’s a different kind of fear.

Gary Plauche and I would agree 100%.
@henrybartram9854 Exactly. Hence, if I feel slighted by somebody, I take matters into my own hands. I don't wait for divine intervention or karma!
Nothing scares me more than the stupid people that get themselves into these situations.

Anytime some random person approaches me, I already know it's for some bull shit. It's ALWAYS something and nothing good. I will literally walk away; which surprises solicitors because they're used to people trying to be polite. I don't care about being polite.
My inspiration for creating a channel comes from being a huge fan of the genre. Channels like Mr. Nightmare have really motivated me.
(Not trying to put blame on the person who experienced that, they were probably so tired they didn’t think it through and clearly just wanted to help ❤)
nah sometimes you have to be hard on some idiots
I mean, nah they're kinda stupid for that cause they had enough sense to go "well I believe in Karma so I'll be fucked if I don't help them" also. Care that's right next to the woods is like the biggest red flag, that's on them for not noticing
This idiot asked for this literally. I do help people but it depend on the context like in some public safe space where there's a lot of people

I agree with i been watching him since 2017 and no one has topped his story telling
Thank you. Your narration is perfect and the story is amazing ❤

Here in Texas there are stations that have cash and credit card prices. Cash always being a bit cheaper.
They're from Massachusetts, so they aren't very smart.
@@ExplorerDS6789 Wait, what? Are people from Massachusetts less intelligent than those from other states?
Some days when I’m having really bad days, and I know it’s about to wrap up in my 20 to 30 minute ride home. I usually think to myself this would be perfect if Mr. Nightmare had a video out. And then on the days he post them when I feel like I need them the most he does. This is amazing
Story 2 : never help out / trust strangers; no matter how “nice” they may seem
With that logic you really shouldn’t trust your friends or family, especially your spouse. You’re more likely to be hurt by someone you know.
I agree, these days you have to be a total A-HOLE and just drive off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@darkrave2977 honestly, you stand a better chance against someone you know
@darkrave2977 only because you have a higher rate of interactio with people you know. Some stranger needs help, call them a cab, a tow truck, or an officer/emt. But never get involved unless you know how to competently defend yourself.
You can still help others out..... Just be smart about it
For instance, that Wendy's had been closed for a bit probably why was that car there? For another thing why was it parked by the woods? And finally if a situation doesn't feel normal.... That's probably your brain telling you you need to leave, yea your brain has a kind of spidey sense for danger if I understand my highschool psychology class correctly it's usually a good idea to trust that sense.
