Hampton great job...very entertaining, sound great especially to be that size. Man I'm more than impressed. Flags, twirlers an all just was great. Coming from a TnSU fan. AoB
The Band director is an alum of Hampton. The ending may sound similar but I think it's more so the region(Mid-Atlantic area). They sound really good! However though Norfolk is nearby across the bay about 30 minutes away.
Good job Hampton from a NCAT band alumnus. Good sound. Wish I could be there for the game you play against us this year but it's sold out. It should be a great band competition.
I’m a Hampton Marching Force Allumnus and the band will not be there like they were for our homecoming last year. KB thank you for the review of the band. They may be bigger this year so check them out!
K B my brother I'm a fan. We don't always have same options. Which is cool. Your speaks big in band talk. Please out The Legion any show from 1982 to present. 1987 vs A&T in aggie land listen to aggie percussion style then listen to $MDFS We been making the same pancakes 🥞 for decades. We're no way new to band. Played Neck 1987 battle of the bay against 300 piece Hampton Institute university. Played it at end of dance routine. Check Liquid Light that the UA-cam I seen it on.
I was there for that show as freshman in the Force! Great show on both sides of the field but we did mess with y’all a bit! If you can check out that show KB I’m sure you will like it!
@jamesellington2980 I was there also Mr James . Both bands were monsters 👻 then. Hamptons goes through band of Directors on a regular, which I think really hurts the program. The Legion has had on one before Emery Fears, and just 3 or 4 Directors of bands and that's in the schools whole history since September 18 1935. Tradition is a MUST

They Really Sound Good... I Was Definitely Impressed, Because You Don't See There Shows Like Talking About It...
That's what I said. Little band with a clean and blended sound.
I'm #Behold all day every day but being born in Hampton, HU was my first love. As a kid the Homecoming Parades were everything.
The band director was a Hampton Grad but he taught at A&T when they evolved into the band they are now.

Word. NSU and Hampton sound are very similar tbh. That's not a bad thing by no means
DOB is from Hampton and used to be chief arranger for A&T
Thanks for the love! Who was your jazz teacher?
Our band director is from Hampton...lol
I love this! People are getting to know the DMV sound! Thank you KB for these reactions! Especially since this is my hometown! 757 (Seven Cities)
Need trumpets badly. Good sound though. Their campus is freaking amazing though, especially the wharf. It's a real uplifting place to feel black.
I played trumpet in middle school and drums later in life. As a kid I wanted to be Low Down.

@jamesellington2980 I heard that. I think that is terrible. Takes away from the game. Would have been a really good band contest.
Man hampton starts getting right then they fall off.... bad..... then they come back a lil bit. They got one of the best neck arrangements too....
I think they’ll get back to normal this season. They got deep out no where too lol
The first band to play neck 1986 battle of the bay Norfolk State Marching Spartan Legion in halftime show
Ciaa band bringing 29,000 to most games just to see the Legion speak for us KB do your job baby boy. Big ups
Dane good job
When was this performance?
Hampton is like a lil A&T…Dr Jones is amazing though, but he was on staff at A&T
Check out songbird Norfolk State. Great solo sax best I've heard to this day. Facts send me one that can compare I would appreciate it greatly
