I was 12 years old and watched the flames from the roof of our house in Torrance. It has always stuck with me that the hills and mountains around the L.A. Basin should have never been developed.
And when this disaster occurred in 1961, nobody claimed there were conspiracies to to start fires to force people to sell their properties cheaply after buildings were burned. Nobody claimed government incompetence when water pressure dropped; they accepted the factual depiction of this situation shown in this film at 23:44 (which should be shown again right now to the millions of people complaining about this.) Nobody claimed secret weapons were targeting particular areas or buildings while leaving others intact; they accepted the explanations of how this happens shown in this film at 19:19. But the rationality present in 1961 is unfortunately gone forever for a huge chunk of the population in 2025.
I recall this fire. The destruction was very substantial. I remember a reporter talking to one of my favorite stars, Joe E. Brown, about the destruction.
what I would do is get "youtube red" so you can download it on a DVD. and then you need to get a DVD player for your TV and then you can watch it on your TV. I think you would have to burn this video on to the DVD.
Here we are years later

Narrated by William Conrad, who portrayed TVs Cannon and also narrated Rocky and Bullwinkle.
And Denethor in Rankin Bass' The Return of the King.
And a lot of radio roles. He was the voice of Matt Dillon in the original radio "Gunsmoke."

You could also play the video on your tv and video it with your phone camera or a camcorder.
See the December 26, 1957 fire , there is a film on that one too.
