Thumbs up for the long awaited Slice By Song Position Pointer option. We just need a few long awaited browser and midi editor features now. Browser - audio wave display with loop markers and looping, play through track, tempo and key matching, key display whilst playing audio, dots / points put on all previously auditioned samples in a folder whilst you're in it, folder refreshing button, reverse auditioning, midi auditioning and a section in the browser where new Re's or VST's are placed for quick finding (in Reaper, it works for 24 hours after installation) and for the midi editor - Note displays, adjust velocity of a note within the note, multi midi editor displays in 1 editor, keyboard shortcut to make all notes the same length (I'd go with whatever length the snap is set to), show which note row your midi controller key is (so highlights in the row which note you're pressing), quantize note ends (as well as start), keyboard shortcut to send note selection to the start or beginning of that clip, highlight a note type in a clip or column (so all G#'s for instance in just that column or whole clip), sliding notes, strumming notes, a built in arpeggio tool exclusively for the midi editor, chord painting, keyboard shortcut to swap notes (so puts 1 note or notes where the other one is when 2 selections are selected), slice by grid shortcut, invert note selection shortcut, remove note overlaps, legato goes to the end of the clip option, join notes, diamond / triangle note graphic option (so the notes become a triangle or a diamond, great for drums) and lastly, a better more realistic looking piano keys graphic and the ability to label keys say for drums so you can write on snare, kick etc.

Love you Reason, but you still have a lot of work left to do to catch up. This is why I went to Logic Pro. Love your racks and a lot of your instruments and I love your players. However, The DAW needs more. Video Support for folks like me that compose for film and tv. Fix problems with audio latency and recording instruments. A lot of Editing features and a few other things. I would take the page out of the playbook for Logic and Presonus Studio One Pro. Im not saying copy them but you get my point. I just don't feel like 12 and 13 were worth the upgrades. I fully, understand the development issues and other things but, can we at least address this? Thanks so much
We need color code back it make the browser messy , this bullshit is all grey and we lose the red from the refill , come on make an orange for rack extension a green for VST and a blue for player or effect unit , im lost now with all this dongle from the same color ! I also add an issue with the patch from an old rack extension i can't found the old list of patch from an old Cakewalk Compressor that emulate the L.A 1 teletronix.
At the special $80 price I am willing to pay to upgrade. Why this isn't the regular price I have no idea. FYI when I go to your store normally and it's $199 to upgrade it just feels like you're gouging and in my mind, that's what your brand has become now.
This is why Reason is Dead. Reason tries to sell new basic features that have been in other DAWS for decades now as major features, and expect everyone to be amazed by them now after they've ignored our requests for them 20+ years ago. Meanwhile other DAWS are implementing features that are apparently too advanced for Reason devs to code.
Another new browser? ANOTHER NEW BROWSER? How many times is Reason Studios going to pump a NEW BROWSER as a new thing? At this point, it's just dark, dystopian comedy. I'd buy a Reason upgrade if they did a modern take on Recycle with stem separation and included it in Reason. Outside of that, I seriously doubt anything compelling enough to warrant upgrading is ever gonna happen.

😮 thats cool i Like that👍 Copy Clips to the Same bar length would with a quick command 9:06
That is a good having the Favourite and Hidden devices list Im going to use it to highlight the devices I haven't used because I want to utilises everything and not just stick to tne same devices I always use. For example I haven't been using Objekt but I should but have instead be using My go to devices and not using Objekt. I want to use Objekt.
Thanks so much
Laughing at everyone thinking this is an amazing update. It's about as exciting as Microsoft word update
wow just the short cut tool alone is going to save a lot of time.
How much is the extection?
The browser is still slow though...
Alt+x is so much quicker than ctrl+r, click, ctrl+q. Will be used constantly!
Thanks now, i can finally stay on Reason 12 and cancel Reason plus , give us an option for an old browser!!!
R12 still!
Nice!
For all that price the players should be included
They are included.
Yawn. I can already do most of this in Reason 12 using the favourites lists. Not worth updating, imho
bring track markers in for mastering whole projects please!
Edit groups for audio….Those of us who record live drums or any other multi track/input source have been overlooked for years.
8:24 why Opt+X and not Cmd+B, like in all video editors (DaVinci, iMovie)?
In macOS you can easily remap the keyboard shortcuts in applications to anything you like.
I can finally uninstall R12. Really good update.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand still not collapsible sequencer track folders
Ryan, Just tell me I now have infinite colors available for my tracks with this update and I’ll upgrade to R13 before you can say the “S” in “Yes”.
Dead enough for you to be here commenting about the new features they're adding.
How do I get the Selig De Esser in Reason 13.1 - Keep in mind, I'm 74 years old 🙂
cool
Another new browser? ANOTHER NEW BROWSER? How many times is Reason Studios going to pump a NEW BROWSER as a new thing? At this point, it's just dark, dystopian comedy.
I'd buy a Reason upgrade if they did a modern take on Recycle with stem separation and included it in Reason. Outside of that, I seriously doubt anything compelling enough to warrant upgrading is ever gonna happen.
I don't think you know what dystopian means.
Thanks for making the best DAW in the world
