I saw the video on my recommended and said it's another clickbait big youtuber, but no this guy only has 187 subs +1 now. Loved watching the vid man and I look forward to watching future vids.❤❤
Super inspiring vid! Really good stuff brother. Was curious, how long did you take to validate your idea? Was it a case of curating a few and narrowing it down to one? Would love your thoughts!
I came up with the idea and before building I did some research to check if it already exists. And it does in a way, but not in the way where all the money goes to charity. But the important part - that a user is actually willing to bet money against himself - was validated by those other apps. So I kind of knew, that if I make it simpler & better for the user AND that all money will be donated, it will work. But, also this MVP serves as a further validation tool. So if no similar apps exist in your case, I'd recommend bringing your app idea on a simple landing page (spend less than 2 days on that) and try to bring people to the page (organic content or ads). Refund them if needed or bring them to a "Available soon" page. But also just asking friends/family/followers (make sure they are the target market) what they think about it can help you in a first step. Hope this helps!
Awesome video, amazing production quality... Time for me to stop procrastinating and finish building my app, I've been working on it for a while learning NextJS, but its kinda insane how fast you were able to build with bubble. I think its really cool seeing people with good ideas able to build apps without months of effort but at the same time I fear for AI slop
What a great idea! Already submitted my first Commitly goal and am excited to experience your tool. It is a great idea to help stick with goals but also a great way to do something good. I'd call it a win-win situation. Keep on going. I'm excited for this to blow up 🙏🏽🔥

Loved the video. It’d be awesome if you did a long version video of step-by-step how you actually built this in bubble! Would be a great tutorial video. Nonetheless, more content like this and I’ll stick around for sure!
I just created a comittment and im honestly rly amazed that everything just works so fine, its a really good idea, wish you all the best bro, keep going, your really underrated 😉
Just wonderng if there is a way to verify if people actually done what they wanted to do. Currently I can just answer with yes. I think most people that are in a bad habit will just press yes to get back there money because it is way easier to press yes, instead of breaking the bad habit - just some thoughts
Your point is super valid. And that's the one I thought most about before building tbh. But for the v1 adding such a validation system with actual "proof" was just not doable in 7 days (for me) so I went with a really basic verification system. As I also think people are way more honest if the money goes to charity instead of me profiting from it. But this will definitely be implemented after I see that the app gets good amount of traction. Thanks for your input!
Yes they do have fees which currently are paid from my pocket as the app is super small atm. But Stripe offers special conditons for non-profits (which I have to apply to). But there are also some other small fees for the Whatsapp messages which I will have to find a solution for if the app keeps getting positive feedback :)
love it! finally something to replace stickk that has modern tooling and design! one big part of helping achieve goals can also be social pressure - i.e. maybe you could think about an optional feature for a coach or one or more people you can add to the whatsapp group who can keep you in line and check in on you as you complete your goal!
thank you chris, glad you like it! those are great ideas, especially the one with inviting friends! definitely a feature that I would need to add once the mvp is validated :)
So do you have the legal documents from the government to accept donations as a non profit? otherwise, how do we know you are donating this money and not keeping it?
The receipt you get via e-mail (see 14:25) will be directly to the charity you chose. In the video it is to a test account from myself as I could not set upt Stripe Connect with the Charities in 4 days. But I am working on that & will update once it's done :)
Hey, sehr cooles Video Nick, vor allem dass du nur 200 subscriber hast finde ich krass. Ich würde gerne mit dir kooperieren, denn ich arbeite auch gerade an einer Platform für non profits, zu der deine App perfekt passen würde!
really good video, great you did it and finish your goal ontime. concrats on this! There's just one (psychologic) thing, about the concept, what keeps me thinking: "if I win my bet, Children lose. If I lose my bet, children win" It feels like there's no option to chase for and feel good after achieving or? If I win my bet, have done my parts and worked hard on this, I feel good of course, but did I really worked hard for my goal to "not" help others? And on the other Side: I maybe worked hard, but did not reach my goals what possible make me upset and "have to" spend my money for charity - I am sad about it, or motivate myself to work harder to "not have to pay for charity next time"? hope you get my point - that's what comes to mind, thinking about the idea. don't get me wrong. I really appreciate the efforts and also the idea. it's just another viewpoint. great video btw and one sub more :)
I got the same thought while watching the video. And don't get me wrong, I like the concept and the win-win situation it creates, but there is something about e.g. crushing the gym to not have to help charity that could echo a bit strange with some people. And I'm kinda playing devils advocate here, I get it, ”just don't use the app then”, but I think it could be cool to keep iterating and playing around with the idea and concept going forward. That aside, It is simple, it is straight to the point, good job on this! I could definately use something like this :)
hey man, I see what you mean. I think it's important to see that nobody loses - because the current situation won't get worse for neither of the sides. it can only get better. but I see the psychological thing that could happen in people's minds. here' how it could be solved: what if there was an option that after you succeeded your commitment, you could still have the option to give a % of the bet to charity (25%, 50% or 100%)? this would solve the issue that the user feels "bad", even if he achieved his goal. for the other case: when you fail your commitment, I personally think it i necessary to get a feeling of frustration that the money goes away, because that "pain" can make you do better next time. that's how I see it. but really appreciate your comment!
The idea is good, but ..lazy people will add the commitment and just click on the yes option every day without making the actual commitment themselves... Who is tracking the commitments the user made?
Yes, this point is valid. Here's my reply from another comment: For the v1 adding such a validation system with actual "proof" was just not doable in 7 days (for me) so I went with a really basic verification system. Great Idea , and great video editing
Thank you very much!

Congrats man!
Next goal is to learn coding and develop without bubble!
But I actually like this website ngl
yea if the mvp is validated, the app most probably needs proper code :)
Loved the video. It’d be awesome if you did a long version video of step-by-step how you actually built this in bubble! Would be a great tutorial video. Nonetheless, more content like this and I’ll stick around for sure!
I had this in mind - but the video felt just too boring IMO so I changed it a little. Maybe for another video I can do it :)
Soo agreed, not knowing how to code should not stop you from creating
exactly! :)
It's almost as if U could jxt learn to code 😒🤷
l love the app idea. l think you should add something like video, picture, or documents to verify that they did the commitment/task
Agree, working on that :)

@@originofname5 not community - COMMITLY (should have been a subtle advertisement for my app haha)

With other products. This product's intention is not to make money.
