Giving a new player a simple deck to help them learn seems like a good idea, but if the deck isn't one of the best decks then that doesn't really end up helping them, so I agree with the approach of recommending the best deck. The problem with tearlament specifically is 3 things, one, it really is complex in a way that decks generally aren't, there are many plays that you do only if you happen to mill this or that card, so it can be difficult, but that isn't the main problem (at least to me personally), is that the deck has been tier 0 in three formats now, it isn't gonna get a light slap on the wrist like other top tier decks like Swordsoul, Branded, etc. It's gonna get nuked, but we don't know how hard, third is that it's from a selection pack, so you'll have to do this guide again in two months haha.
Kitkallos banned + every Tear/Ishizu name limited to 1 is destined to happen & everyone knows it. The deck is a terrible investment *unless* you specifically want easy Diamond 1 & tournament tops for the next 2-3 months
If I was new to a game and this war crime was what someone wanted me to play, I would be done with that game. If I'm playing a game it is because I like the mechanics or some element of the game like the art. I don't care about tournaments and playing the most toxic degenerate elements the game has to offer.
I recently got back into Yu-Gi-Oh when someone mentioned the Master Duel game, I downloaded in my phone and sign in here and then while working, your videos have been a huge help in understanding the meta and new stuff, I stopped playing and watching the anime after 5D's so it is a lot of new stuff to get into. I started on February which was great cus I got all the anniversary stuff and here I'm 2 months later with a Tearlament deck climbing up in ranked slowly as I get more familiar with the deck and manage to get some UR cards to make some adjustments. I managed to do all this without spending any money. Thanks a lot for all your amazing videos and the website I consult everyday!
I mean it makes sense why this is the best time for newbies to try yugioh. They only have to learn one deck. Learn to either play it, or play against it.

The best deck for new players is still the salamangreat structure deck. It has 1 card easy combos, they can play many handtraps and make abyss dweller.
Absolutely. This is a fun deck that needs minimal investment. You can spec into a varient with the Codetalker package, Parallel eXceed, and a few Cyberse specific Links (Splash Mage, Link Kuriboh, etc.).
When the Structure Deck came out, I made a new acc and made Salads with 3 Structures + a few URs like Hand Traps and Accesscode. Made it to Plat 5 easily (didn't want to go further since I was too tired at the time lol).
Iam not a new player so this is not target towards me but regardless i think this video is really good. And tbh this looks like honest work to me. I dont understand how Konami doesent do anyting like that to pull more players into the game. Its a 25 year old game with almost 15k cards. I ran into more Tears in bronze and silver than I did after getting into plat. Plenty of people splurge on their main accounts, but a most likely equal amount make alt accounts to make new decks when they come out, especially meta ones. The same exact thing happened with Despia and Spright's releases. You should be seeing Tearlaments pretty much everywhere.
this is a nice guide for returning players or players coming from tcg but if you are new to yugioh or just watched the anime this deck is not recommended unless you are very very very dedicated and competetive. If you want to learn the game and have some fun I recommend you to try the structure decks first. They are very cheap to buy and a fun and functional deck is possible with just 3 copies of the same structure deck (1500 gems in total). If I had to choose the best structure decks I would say its: - vortex of magic, the dark magician deck using fusion summons. - immortal glory, the zombies deck using synchro summons. - burning spirits, the salamangreat deck using link summons.
@@henrypham4403 nah, there were way more reward before. You'd get like 500gems a day for like 4 days when you first joined. And also gem rewards were slightly more and more abundant

For New Yugioh players just beware that Tearlament is very high on the list in term of complexity. It's not very suited for a new comers. PS: Also Tear is bound to receive more nerfs in the future probably not a great investement. (I doubt it'll be nerfed to the ground but make an educated decision).
Sounds like it's a good option for someone like me, who hasn't played MD in like a year, but might start up a new account to try out this deck. I've played complex decks before.
@@vWarlockv honestly, right now? Since you’re new the only deck I would say is a Stun deck. It’s frowned upon heavy but being new, you should learn what decks do first and try to stop them from doing what they do. That way, when you become more knowledgeable of the game you can try out different decks because of the things you’ve learned. It’ll take some time, but you’ll get better with practice.
Suppose I am a new player in YGOMD, and you tell me that I have to build the strongest deck , then thousands of new people come, so you tell them to build it too, so I play against opponents who have the same build as you. The question here is where is the fun in this? You should teach new players how to build a decks, not how to copy.
Releasing the Tear cards after the Ishizu cards makes it more likely that the Ishizu cards get hit before the Tearlaments cards. Though we still don't have ANY Kashtira or Bystials in the game so this deck is going to get a LOT harder to play well with once those things get rotated around. Tearlaments can and does use Bystials and has their own Kashtira card but those builds are even harder to make use of than the current Ishizu stuff, especially because the design of those two later archetypes runs directly counter to how Tearlaments gets played.
Imagine new players with BE and DM decks playing against new players with a Tear deck, that will be their first and last duel in Master Duel. So yeah this deck will give free wins to many newbies but will make other newbies just uninstall the game.
After you got the important cards in your deck, i advise to craft the staple cards which is handtraps mainly the trio maxx c, ash, called by at least 2 each
Thanks alot for this video, I was looking forward to try to make a budget tearlament deck, but there wasnt alot of ressources to do so. I'll probably lose a bunch of games due to time limits (I sometimes think too much or have to take alot of time to read my opponent's cards), but it's going to be a fun other option to mix and play my other 2 decks: Dark magician structure and budget spright (missing most of the UR spells/traps. Maxx C and some side deck monsters).

I give it a month and a half of playability at most, kitkalos ban(which is all but confirmed with them making it sr) will make it unplayable on top of the most certainly guaranteed ishizi limits with them being jammed into everything
Tearlaments are the most complex deck of the game. It's not a good recommendation for newbies. Swordsoul is a better choice for being simple in its mechanics while being one of the best decks of the game.
A casual might look at this and get scared off, but I know there are "new players" out there that can be coming from another TCG or something similar. This is good for new players who want to actually play at the highest level and not just build some crappy rogue deck.
I don’t think you should make a new Beginner’s guide video like this one because this is not the right thing to say to new players do. The reasons are: 1 - You didn’t talked about the bundle packs and how good of a investiment they are for getting some UR meta staple copies and also some packs. 2 - You didn’t mention the secret packs and how they are so much better than the Master Pack. New players will just spend their gems on the Master Pack is this a bad idea. 3 - You also didn’t said anything about the structure decks and how some of them are really good for getting URs that help you build some good decks. Structures like the Salad, Zombie and DM ones has some crazy good value. 4 - Last but not least, it’s not a good idea to recommend a new player to play this deck because not only is very difficult to play (even more for a new player), is also a deck that is hella expensive and with the resources you spend to build this you could build 2/3 competitive complete decks that will you not be destroyed in 2 months like this one will be. So this deck is hard to pilot, mirror matches are hell and its insane expensive and will not last long, you know, I know, everybody knows this. Anyway. I am not a hater. I like your videos. I really do. Just saying this video is not a good and right approach of the subject.

Just a reminder, with great power comes great responsibilities: you need to manage your time (even Dkayed almost timed out on another video), remember which effects have already been used, chain properly, and all other Yu-Gi-Oh basics. Plus, your enemies might hate you. But if you're fine with all of that, by all means, listen to this man, and craft one today!
If this video had been about Swordsoul, it would have been relevant for so much longer. Instead, it was about Tearlament, one of the most broken OP decks in Yu-Gi-Oh history while also being extremely difficult to play. The deck got nerfed (which was obvious from the start) and is basically irrelevant now.

i have my swordsoul deck but before tear, im having fun with my mathmechs because of the ability to summon my favorite boss monsters . now when i faced turn 1 tear and i have 0 handtraps, i just scoop haha. tho im also having fun with tear on my another acc .
For a new player, this is not possible to attain unless reroll a couple of times to get lucky. By simple calculation new account gets roughly 10k gems day 1. On average, it is 2 UR per 1k gems spend on pulling. So that is 20 URs. However, what are the odds that all 20 URs are Tearlaments? There are 6 out 13 UR in the pack that is Tearlaments related. On average, it is 9 UR per 20 UR that is Tearlaments related. 3:20 requires 11 UR. Theoretically doable but look at how much assumption we have to assume.
The best deck to invest early for beginners is deck that have good secret pack and structure deck. Salad and dragonmaid is the best one to go for beginner and also the cheapest. Swordsoul is not half bad, but require quite decent UR point to make the card good. Zombie structure deck also not bad at all but need little bit gems to get some card to play zombies deck.
I re roll my acc 3-4 time a day. Purely I tried to get all important staple without spending gems and I did it a few day ago😂. I re roll so much I build a free solo deck that clear 20 mode under 30 min lol. Reason why I can re roll so many time a day
i started master duel yesterday in fact and was looking into this deck however the selection box you say to use for getting the cards is no longer there what is the best way for me to get the cards other than crafting them
Tier list =/= best deck. I’m still playing rikka without anti-meta strategie ,and i’m diamond rank easlly. Tear need more learning basic game before. And tear gona be limited like ocg/tcg. You gona lose the Gems and times for nothing.
This is not good: 1. I don't know how bad new player is, but this Tear can give easy big beater just click "YES". This will be more uncomfortable experience for other new player. Don't forget how long this deck to play, and how slow new player play. Combine both factors, this will be hell. 2. Tear Ishizu is bad investment because we all know Konami will kill this deck someday. There will be a lot of unplayable cards, while this deck is very expensive. 3. Because we all know this deck will die soon. New player need to learn about other deck, and it need more gems or time again. 4. And I don't think this deck is a good deck to learn Yu-Gi-Oh. 5. THIS GAME STILL UNFRIENDLY FOR NEW PLAYER IF KONAMI DOESN'T RELEASE NEW SECRET PACK. JUST RELEASE THE SECRET PACK, AND NEW PLAYER CAN GET PREVIOUS CARDS TOO.
This is just a bad time to start the game lol. Even if you do build tear immediately it will probably be banned to hell in a matter of months, and banned in such a way so as to yield as little refunded dust as possible. That and I don’t think a new player is gonna enjoy nothing but tear mirror simulator.
I don’t get playing one of those solo mode things 20 times does it get you gems or something for doing it then just stops after that or am I missing something ?
the new player should be familiar with card game to do this. i have a friend who completely new to YGO and any other card game, but he can't even pilot crusadia OTK and zombie eldlich, in bronze
I feel like it's crazy to blow a pile of ur dust on the pack cards when u can play a bit less complete deck and buy a couple more packs later. There are to many ur staple cards to buy to waste any whatsoever.

He has a whole website FOR FREE that you can use to see decks that counter tier. You can look at 2 weeks worth of tournemnt results for decks like floo, despia, swordsoul and exo sister that counter tear

Lightsworns are getting more support with the itshizu cards I just reach diamond with this deck , tearlments just help this deck as much as destroyed it ..
I just switched to master duel and watched this video and did this, learned the deck for the most part in like 30 mins.. (the basics I mean) and this is kinda messed up. It's way overpowered. Insanity. People quit when I fill the feild with negates and overpowered cards in one turn.. I feel bad
It is a good video with a solid tutorial how to play the best deck. but the more people play this deck, the more reason i'm quitting yugioh. it isn't that i cant compete with tear but yugioh now missing the fun part where we play lots of different deck and hitting back and forth every turn. imagine playing 10 duels a day and facing same deck over and over again, and see both player playing and shuffling cards back into deck every turn

It's also fun to setup double/triple masquerade then activate both millers. Watch enemy burn themselves to death with their own chains.

Honestly I don't play tear,but after this I think I will. New players can't actually read/use cards in the wrong chain.

I give it a month and a half of playability at most, kitkalos ban(which is all but confirmed with them making it sr) will make it unplayable on top of the most certainly guaranteed ishizi limits with them being jammed into everything

Tearlaments are the most complex deck of the game. It's not a good recommendation for newbies. Swordsoul is a better choice for being simple in its mechanics while being one of the best decks of the game.
A casual might look at this and get scared off, but I know there are "new players" out there that can be coming from another TCG or something similar. This is good for new players who want to actually play at the highest level and not just build some crappy rogue deck.
This kind of content is what the game needs. I remember when I started PTCGL I was looking for videos similar to this.
I don’t think you should make a new Beginner’s guide video like this one because this is not the right thing to say to new players do.
The reasons are:
1 - You didn’t talked about the bundle packs and how good of a investiment they are for getting some UR meta staple copies and also some packs.
2 - You didn’t mention the secret packs and how they are so much better than the Master Pack. New players will just spend their gems on the Master Pack is this a bad idea.
3 - You also didn’t said anything about the structure decks and how some of them are really good for getting URs that help you build some good decks. Structures like the Salad, Zombie and DM ones has some crazy good value.
4 - Last but not least, it’s not a good idea to recommend a new player to play this deck because not only is very difficult to play (even more for a new player), is also a deck that is hella expensive and with the resources you spend to build this you could build 2/3 competitive complete decks that will you not be destroyed in 2 months like this one will be.
So this deck is hard to pilot, mirror matches are hell and its insane expensive and will not last long, you know, I know, everybody knows this.

havnis- banned to reduce the tear power as well as her being a R rarity
kitkalos- very broken card and is an SR on purpose with the intent of banning her in the future

Ah yes, because we need to see more Tearlaments even on the lowest tier. And shut down the dreams of new players who want to play their "favourite decks" so they won't waste resources crafting them. Just a reminder, with great power comes great responsibilities: you need to manage your time (even Dkayed almost timed out on another video), remember which effects have already been used, chain properly, and all other Yu-Gi-Oh basics. Plus, your enemies might hate you. But if you're fine with all of that, by all means, listen to this man, and craft one today!

If this video had been about Swordsoul, it would have been relevant for so much longer. Instead, it was about Tearlament, one of the most broken OP decks in Yu-Gi-Oh history while also being extremely difficult to play. The deck got nerfed (which was obvious from the start) and is basically irrelevant now.

i have my swordsoul deck but before tear, im having fun with my mathmechs because of the ability to summon my favorite boss monsters . now when i faced turn 1 tear and i have 0 handtraps, i just scoop haha. tho im also having fun with tear on my another acc .
For a new player, this is not possible to attain unless reroll a couple of times to get lucky. By simple calculation new account gets roughly 10k gems day 1. On average, it is 2 UR per 1k gems spend on pulling. So that is 20 URs. However, what are the odds that all 20 URs are Tearlaments? There are 6 out 13 UR in the pack that is Tearlaments related. On average, it is 9 UR per 20 UR that is Tearlaments related. 3:20 requires 11 UR. Theoretically doable but look at how much assumption we have to assume.
The best deck to invest early for beginners is deck that have good secret pack and structure deck. Salad and dragonmaid is the best one to go for beginner and also the cheapest. Swordsoul is not half bad, but require quite decent UR point to make the card good. Zombie structure deck also not bad at all but need little bit gems to get some card to play zombies deck.
Thanks for the video. Now more metaslaves will create new accounts just to replicate this and ruin some non-meta enjoyers in the low ranks.

I re roll my acc 3-4 time a day. Purely I tried to get all important staple without spending gems and I did it a few day ago😂. I re roll so much I build a free solo deck that clear 20 mode under 30 min lol. Reason why I can re roll so many time a day

i started master duel yesterday in fact and was looking into this deck however the selection box you say to use for getting the cards is no longer there what is the best way for me to get the cards other than crafting them

Tear need more learning basic game before. And tear gona be limited like ocg/tcg.
You gona lose the Gems and times for nothing.
This is not good:
1. I don't know how bad new player is, but this Tear can give easy big beater just click "YES". This will be more uncomfortable experience for other new player. Don't forget how long this deck to play, and how slow new player play. Combine both factors, this will be hell.
2. Tear Ishizu is bad investment because we all know Konami will kill this deck someday. There will be a lot of unplayable cards, while this deck is very expensive.
3. Because we all know this deck will die soon. New player need to learn about other deck, and it need more gems or time again.
4. And I don't think this deck is a good deck to learn Yu-Gi-Oh.
5. THIS GAME STILL UNFRIENDLY FOR NEW PLAYER IF KONAMI DOESN'T RELEASE NEW SECRET PACK. JUST RELEASE THE SECRET PACK, AND NEW PLAYER CAN GET PREVIOUS CARDS TOO.
This is just a bad time to start the game lol. Even if you do build tear immediately it will probably be banned to hell in a matter of months, and banned in such a way so as to yield as little refunded dust as possible. That and I don’t think a new player is gonna enjoy nothing but tear mirror simulator.

He has a whole website FOR FREE that you can use to see decks that counter tier. You can look at 2 weeks worth of tournemnt results for decks like floo, despia, swordsoul and exo sister that counter tear

He can literally show you how to play it so effectively that tears become not so broken against it. It's just not only great content but it gives us better strategies accordingly to every fun deck people wanna play with.

Which we get new bans, limits and unlimits every month so a specific guide can be outdated in only one month. Too much for its net worth.

The content is almost exhausted now to make a bunch more. I'm not asking to do every deck or work harder, it's just if he can make vids on op decks he can also on his free time make guide on some of the fun decks. After all we come to play master duel for FUN not everyone is just looking for mindless competitiveness.

Imagine joining a game where you will only face one cancerous deck in every single rank or the same GY engine in every single deck.
I just switched to master duel and watched this video and did this, learned the deck for the most part in like 30 mins.. (the basics I mean) and this is kinda messed up. It's way overpowered. Insanity. People quit when I fill the feild with negates and overpowered cards in one turn.. I feel bad
It is a good video with a solid tutorial how to play the best deck. but the more people play this deck, the more reason i'm quitting yugioh. it isn't that i cant compete with tear but yugioh now missing the fun part where we play lots of different deck and hitting back and forth every turn. imagine playing 10 duels a day and facing same deck over and over again, and see both player playing and shuffling cards back into deck every turn

Lol I did the same thing but spent most of my gems on a few decks on one of my accounts on my phone I have 8300 gems and have 3 decks and since we are getting a update imma use some of my gems on some of the new packs and support coming into the game
