Blue eyes is the most nostalgic deck to me. I remember when it was one of the top decks if not the top. I spent forever collecting the cards to complete the deck cause my fluffal deck just didn’t cut it anymore. But fluffal is still my favorite by far, it is just the most fun and I’ll always remember being destroyed by it in my first tournament.
It's games like duel 8 that make me honestly believe that master duel riggs certain duels to make you lose by giving opponents exact counters to every card in your opening hand lol.

fun fact, i was making some tests with my felgrand deck, adding 3 normal rarity monsters in my deck (nebula dragon in this case) decreased my match ups against high tier meta decks, maybe there is some hidden rarity matchmaking? The difference was pretty damn high.
Now Sam knows what it feels like to play casual decks at locals lol you just wanna play but all the broken combos decks gotta run the fun lol

I wish that they are able to find a way to make the classical cards like Dark Magician and Blue Eyes competitive in the current meta, I just can't let go of playing with my Dark Magician deck😭😭😭

We basically just need archetype cards that allow us to do the same stuff as these people (Summon ungodly amounts of monsters per turn to Summon even more monsters)
@@ninkstheultimate3376 you need more than that. None of the classic boss monsters have protection or interruptions, making them worth nothing more than big beatsticks. Basically, even if you get to summon an ungodly number of monsters per turn, if your end board is easy to break, it won't be worth the trouble.
The main problem is playing a deck that revoles around 3 normal monster that can't be normal summoned turn one will always be bad no matter how much support they give it. You simply can't make a blue eyes deck good without not making it a blue eyes deck.
@@mr.orange2192 l feel like maybe they should try (and I know this will go against the die hards) make alternative versions of those cards with added effects to keep up with the meta, at the end of the day casuals will always want the anime decks and if you catch the casuals then there will be more sales
@@ntandombhele4017 that's exactly what I meant. You simply can't make a fundamentally bad deck good without changing the whole identity of the deck. People want to play a blue eyes deck because it has Blue-eyes White Dragon in it, if you remove it then it's no longer a blue eyes deck.

I crafted the T.G structure deck that was used in the previous Anthology event and made it to Gold 3. Im gonna need to meta up my deck with Snake Eyes and Ash Blossoms and what not to get further. I keep getting negated to high hell with Snake Eye combos.
you dont NEED to do that to get further.. most decks can make it to the highest ranks

Just an idea. I've just started playing master duel in the past month (played in school 20 years ago) and I've managed to get 1000s of gems. Why not do this same type of episode but you have all the bundle cards like lightning storm, ash, imperm, nib, droplet and the others?
I tried the blue eyes starter deck for nostalgia but honestly dark magician support like eternal soul and magical circle in the starter deck is just so much more versatile than blue eyes. I miss the days of summoning Lord of d, play flute of d, two blue eyes and win 😂

What I love doing with my blue eyes deck is slapping dimension guardian onto my Jet dragon. Makes him and the rest of my field virtually invincible. I think the only thing you can do to Jet is send it back to the hand, deck, or banish it. Its crazy op

BE needs its own link monsters. That can actually searches spell or traps. Or it can interact with gy with BE monsters. Maybe link 1 as u can normal summon the egg or sages then pop off.
Now we need Crimson Resonator as the new Master Duel Mate... That would be a nice touch

It's a great card and a brilliant out to quite a lot of monsters like mirror jade can be taken without losing your board amongst other things, I think Sam doesn't like it because it's not a negate or something similar 🤣

Still... as an anecdote, i managed to climb to platinum with a similar Raw, free Blue Eyes deck... but i think i lost some years of life expectancy after it.

It's a shame they didn't include cards like Mysterion the dragon crown in the extra deck alongside blue eyes spirit dragon. You could have had more versatility from your basic polymerization instead of having to construct a hand to make First of the dragons, if they'd included Mysterion you could've fused any dragon and Spellcaster together, unbricking bad hands and giving you a disruption as a result.

Actually I started a brand new master duel account and I tested that claim of being able to get 3100 gems and surprisingly without spending any gems and starting from 0 I did NOT get 3100 gems it was closer to 2500
Its because they changed it so people can't do that anymore.
