Human hormones are not positive or negative. They have different effects on human nerve system creating emotions. You can feel better, or worse, more anxious, pumped, etc. but not neccessarily have a positive or negative effect on plants, especially they don't have a nerve system. You can put adrenaline in their soil to test it. Exhaling hormones needs to be testing as well, I'm convinced that human bodies don't exhale that much to kill a plant. The most obvious reason for this experiment, that bullying a plant makes emotions in you, and affect on the experiment. You simply care less the hatred plant.

I mean the actual amazing part of this experiment is that the plant is demonstrating consciousness. A plant reacting to words and intentions proves that consciousness doesn’t come from the a human brain it exists in all living things. Consciousness may even be intrinsic property of matter itself, and if that’s true, all consciousness is connected because all matter comes from a singularity.

Well well meaning, I feel this is bordering on victim blaming. You must be envisioning a very light form of bullying where someone says a couple of mean things and moves on. What about those instances where someone is relentlessly bullied while everyone does nothing? What about when the class or school joins in? What about cases where they have no one to turn to and even family feeds their insecurities? Perhaps they even have family, but they spend most of their day with the bully? What about when schools can do nothing and your day is filled with physical and verbal negativity? Everyone's situation is different and words and actions do affect you, even if they just make you shut down from everyone and everything around you. Then you have someone come along and tell you that the effects of bullying all depend on you. Unless you can support the person or stand up to their bullies, it's best not to say such things because that unconsciously gives the action of the bully or bullies a free pass while telling the bullied person that they just need to not be so uptight about it.
I am kind of curious to try this now. I have to admit, I kind of wonder if the experiments are conducted as they say, or if the bullied plant in reality is less taken care of, even if they say they give them the same care. What would the best method be, I wonder? I do have a pliea plant. I was considering to make two little new ones from the old plant, treat them both with care, and make sure they are both 'viable' and in a similar condition. And then start talking to them daily, and see what happens. Give them both the best possible conditions in terms of light, air quality and fertiliser, and put them next to each other in the window. And then, if the plant starts to grow, maybe try and switch their roles, see if that makes a difference? And finally third stage, if it does happen, nurse both plants back to full health. ❤🩹 That should cover all variables, right? Though I think I would feel terrible for the plant I had to be mean to. 😢💔

Well well meaning, I feel this is bordering on victim blaming. You must be envisioning a very light form of bullying where someone says a couple of mean things and moves on. What about those instances where someone is relentlessly bullied while everyone does nothing? What about when the class or school joins in? What about cases where they have no one to turn to and even family feeds their insecurities? Perhaps they even have family, but they spend most of their day with the bully? What about when schools can do nothing and your day is filled with physical and verbal negativity? Everyone's situation is different and words and actions do affect you, even if they just make you shut down from everyone and everything around you. Then you have someone come along and tell you that the effects of bullying all depend on you.
Unless you can support the person or stand up to their bullies, it's best not to say such things because that unconsciously gives the action of the bully or bullies a free pass while telling the bullied person that they just need to not be so uptight about it.

I am kind of curious to try this now. I have to admit, I kind of wonder if the experiments are conducted as they say, or if the bullied plant in reality is less taken care of, even if they say they give them the same care.
What would the best method be, I wonder? I do have a pliea plant. I was considering to make two little new ones from the old plant, treat them both with care, and make sure they are both 'viable' and in a similar condition. And then start talking to them daily, and see what happens. Give them both the best possible conditions in terms of light, air quality and fertiliser, and put them next to each other in the window. And then, if the plant starts to grow, maybe try and switch their roles, see if that makes a difference? And finally third stage, if it does happen, nurse both plants back to full health. ❤🩹 That should cover all variables, right?
Though I think I would feel terrible for the plant I had to be mean to. 😢💔
