I did the egg in the microwave stupidly when in a motel. I was new to north America and never owned or operated a microwave before. The microwave door exploded open and egg spread into a million bits all over the room. To this day 24 years later i still feel bad for whoever had to clean that nightmare.

My face and eyes is burned from hot egg. My dad yelled me, he said “What are you doing?!” I didn’t know why egg exploded in microwave because I ate boiled eggs from my mom cooked it. Not microwave. I was an idiot but many people put egg in microwave for accident too. I thought how cooking boiled eggs Never put egg in the microwave! When I was kid have no idea 🤦♂️ why nobody warning me for don’t put egg in the microwave? 😒

And my mom was a kid/teen at the time and it wasn’t widely known what to & not to put in the microwave. So she’s home alone and decides she wants a boiled egg and figured the microwave can cook it just fine. So she microwaves a raw egg and literally BLOWS the door open on the microwave. No idea how it was able to have that much force and no idea if microwaves were just poorly made back in the day or theirs was already damaged for it to be opened by an egg bomb. But I guess she was in the other room at the time and had NO idea wtf was happening
