This place is beautiful and I plan to go February 2019. It looks so relaxing and peaceful. I did Hawaii for my 50th this seems like a great place to spend my 52nd birthday. Life is too short might as well enjoy it while you can.

You might be lucky at less to find a fresh area of coral reef if you plane on diving or snorkeling but there's less now cause of the jet skis and if you plane to have some quite time you'll be lucky most of the time but most of the time you hear jet skis

I always find it amazing how many of these travel vids on youtube were done by people from Toronto! I'm from Niagara Falls and we often fly out of Toronto, though Buffalo is much cheaper. gotta get to Polynesia one of these days!
Tribulatorial Tech ya, I never said it was a better option for people that live in TO. Living in NF I have two great options available to me. Buffalo is often 1/2 the price of Toronto but some destinations are not convenient from Buffalo. For example you can't fly direct from Buffalo to the west coast.

In 1987 I went for 1 week in Bora Bora & a second week in Moorea. I was at the club med all inclusive (food & activities included) with air fare from Detroit metro to lax then to Tahiti. $4000 with what I spent there. It was well worth it back then went by myself just wanted to get away. Was looking at the caribbean & saw photos of Bora Bora just went for it not one regret & hope some day to return to a piece of heaven on earth. 2 weeks of incredible food so relaxed & two beautiful islands $4000.00 in 1987 probably be at least $10k now but worth every penny.
It's very affordable, actually significantly cheaper than Hawaii. The over-water bungalow gets pricy..$1000/day and ironically more if you're staying for many days. My advice is pay $2000 to stay in one for a couple days and then move into cheaper lodging like the $80 - $100/day little motel-styled places just down the same beach from the resort.
Bora Bora is the most beautiful place on Earth...
