    I have the Black Phoenix. It's an absolute steal for under $50 especially when you consider the nice leather sheath and the handles. The blade is super sharp and has a nice weight to it for power.

    It's not too often these days we see knives coming out of the box razor sharp, I find that rather impressive. Most knives I buy, including higher end ones from large, well known and well established brands tend to come with poorly sharpened and poorly ground edges on them. So it's nice to see a brand like NedFoss sending out knives with actually well sharpened edges on them. Thanks and Cheers!

    Is it made in China like the Ned Foss knife that I just bought recently? That's when I decided not to buy any more Ned Foss knives. Being retired USAF, I believe in buying America made as much as possible. I believe in American craftmanship and more jobs in America, not China.

    • @peterbiltknifeguy

      IT’s Chinese

      With all due respect to Mr. Foss, maintaining a supply line of products made in China greatly increases their national wealth and financial standing in the world and also allows them to provide additional funding to their military forces. The big picture is that they aren't our friends. World domination is their main objective. This note isn't meant to give anybody a tutorial, just to cover the facts as they exist. May God Bless America! Major R. L. Parks, USAF Retired

      So is the phone we're all posting with. Computers too... Oh, and all these cars were driving, remember the "chip" shortage? Getting the best deal for your hard earned money, is a very American thing to do... Just sayin'.

      @@jorgefernandez6407 you bring up a good point, everything in our household is China made, even the kids game systems, all power tool that are American made are sending there products out, even Holosun a great optic has gone China made. Nothing is American made these days. Just saying to!

    As some one who used to teach Wilderness Survival, the whole concept of chopping a branch like you used is waste of energy. If you are in a real survival situation, you need to conserve your energy as much as you can. Chopping with a knife not only wastes energy, but could be a danger in say a cold wet climate. For me, its a good sheath knife, tomahawk and folding saw. Right tool for the job. However, there is one knife I would chop wood with, and its a Khukuri, I have four, one with a 15 inch long blade, with with a 12 inch long blade, one with a 8 inch blade and a small one with a six inch blade. These knifes where designed to chop and split wood.

      @peterbiltknifeguy  Рік тому +1

      I appreciate your input. It’s just a demonstration of the knife. Not everyone will be walking around in the woods with a knife, axe, and saw (although they should) but I tell you one thing. I would rather have this than nothing

    Nothing better then watching fan boy feelings get hurt. Lol Gotta say that’s a pretty good knife. It looks cool but more importantly it does what it’s supposed to. Any idea what steel it is. Not sure if you said so.
