I’m from Pakistan 🇵🇰. I don’t know why our Pakistani Politicians want Kasmir. What ever we have, we are enable to keep it maintained.
Actually, Kashmir is profitable business for our Army and Politicians.
Being Pakistani, I think Kasmiris are much happier and free with India. Stay happy and move forward.
Civilians are victims of Militancy , we Pakistanis knows better.

      Shah Faesal tweets:
A Nobel Peace Prize to @ImranKhanPTI could drastically change the way Pakistan operates in the South Asia region.
IK has already "raised the bar" for leadership in the region and the Prize could encourage him to further nurture the India-Pak relation.
      He deserves the prize.
ISI ki funding se political career shuru karne ki achi koshish thi but sir ko pata nhi tha k Modi-Shah kal k paida nhi hue hain.
I personally hate BJP government for reinstating people like him in services, God knows what such opportunists will do next time they get an opportunity.

This was an outstanding podcast. Interviewer asked thoughtful questions and Dr. Faesal did not deflect any question and elaborated on his views. While Dr. Faesal was speaking the interviewer did not interrupt him and allowed him to continue his trail of thoughts. This is how good podcasts are made. Dr. Faesal is a role model because no one can question his abilities and yet he admits his mistakes and willing to share his learnings openly. What a man. Thank you Vaad team for doing this. Hopefully you will invite him again

'True Islam' is slipper slope. Instead, we better have 'Indian Islam' - not even that - Kashmiri Islam, Gujarathi Islam, Bohara Islam etc. Such local identities help to define a version that is original, local and co-exists with everyone else.
'Global true Islam' will only lead to Caliphate dream sooner or later.

He did not realised late..... He tried to become ultimate opportunist.... milk the situation and become political leader. He knew exactly that he was slowly creating the image of cult leader in the eyes of kashmiris, the leader with separatist views which later would win him the post of chief minister of the state(the ultimate power). But Modi govt threw the cold water on his plans and instead he was trapped in his own plan. Now you are seeing the modified version of him(mind you he is still the same with separatist view). He will show his true colours again the minute modi govt will be thrown out of the power.

This qtn is what you came for
His answer to the question of- future of religion in kashmir was
Basically- kashmir's sense of islam isn't that radical, it's closer to Hinduism.
My opinion is, he has a hope that islam of kashmir will tone down, and become less vicious with koshish of the government, therby, a day when pandits can return and everything canngo hand in hand.
Reality is that, there is islam can't accept anyone if it's majority.

Faesal feels like a Muslim modernist, he wants to create a post Kemalist vision of Islamic society. While the Turks had no history to fall back upon, he realises that Kashmir has a pre-Islamic high culture.
