The first target you dug is a lantern knob.
Has been baking hot lately. I’ve been taking a cool bag with ice blocks and bottle water with me when I’m out. Nice finds and looking forward to getting my coin pots on Sunday! See you then. Great vid again.
The oil lamp item is the wick adjuster that is turned to adjust the height of the flame.
Ooof rather you than me detecting in that heat! We've had temps like that and higher over here for months on end - hottest summer on record apparently (im in Cyprus). Weathers gone nuts everywhere lol. Some great finds all the same, so worth melting for :-D

Your first find looks like the wick dial on an old oil lamp. love seeing the hammered's and all the other cool stuff we don't have in the U. S.
Was that buckle thing part of a book clasp?
Hello from Michigan, USA. Great finds! All are bucket listers for me. Heading to Suffolk in October to try to find bucket listers. Hard to find anything older than 1900 in my area.

could the pointed thing you found be a broken tongue and chap from a knee buckle.
Looks a bit to hot for detecting but as you say can’t complain , we will be soon moaning in the winter !
