Loved Copperhead I knew Gene Colan briefly before his death. I actually sat at his table with him at a small show. When I first met him in 1998. I brought up Copperhead he should of been a anti-hero instead. He was very much like the pulp hero DC was using a few years before DD #12 & #125 hit the stands. Copperhead should of been Marvel's version of the Shadow. I actually own pg 10 of DD #124. The Copperhead monthly pic above is that page. It tells the origin of the pulp hero character that Matt Murdock is researching. Trying to figure out his true identity. I heard Frank miller on his stint of DD. Had originally planned to bring back and use Copperhead. But he left doing DD before it ever happened. Marvel actually got sued by the company who did the Executioner books. Because the Punisher was a rip off of Charles Bronson Death Wish movie and the Executioner. Instead they should just used Copperhead.
