Found a bunch of old beat up hand tools I didn't keep, but the things I have found and kept are: a red and black snap on leatherman type multitool, a snap on 1/4" dr 2 inch extension, a gedore 8mm combo wrench, an old craftsman flathead screwdriver with a puffy foam handle that spins, and a proto blackhawk adjustable wrench. And my personal favorite is a brand new catchy can! Lol I saw it on the side of the road omw to work one morning, and it just so happened that day I was going to be making several dump runs and my brute cans in the back of my truck already, so I stopped and checked it out and turns out it's my all time favorite trash can ever! Lol
If your unfamiliar with what a catchy can is, think of your basic Rubbermaid brute trashcan (it's a 20 or 25 gal) , but one side of the round lip at the top is flttened and extended upwards, giving you a trash can that can lie on the floor flat as if it was a dust pan do u can jist sweep or rake all ur junk right into it! Lol never seen one before then but now I love em n bout a smaller version since Lol.
Only thing is u can't really get a bag inside it but thas fine, I use it to collect yard waste and such, n if need be, use another can w a bag I'll dump into.

I found a Craftsman 3/8 flex head ratchet about 40 years ago. I still have it but the head is too floppy to use. I can't figure a way to tighten it up

I guess I'm not paying attention as I don't think I've ever found a lost tool.

3:00 - "I see China written on it. I, you know, eliminate the middle man. I throw it into the garbage." Ouch. 🤣 Seriously now, times can change. Japanese products generally had a poor reputation in the 1950s and 1960s in the west. Imagine finding a Nepros ratchet or even a Koken socket on the street today...

A pair of those big Snap-On 'Stork' pliers... found under the hood of a neighbors car. Probably left by some rushing 'flat rate' guy. Neighbor said keep them as she didn't want them. They were filthy/nasty, but once cleaned up looked near new!

I’m a mobile mechanic and find a lot of tools on the road. My most valuable find was a knipex 560. I’m sure whoever lost it was heartbroken.

I found a fully charged, Milwaukee M18 12AH Battery off of I-75 and Turnpike side of the interstate. Little scuffed on the side but works just fine that was 3 years ago.

I found an extra long Klein 1/4 screwdriver in the middle of a road. I saw it from far away said “that’s a Klein” parked and ran and grabbed it. It would have surely killed a tire on someone.

My favourite hammer I found in a car I purchased. A Sykes-Pickavant straight pein & finishing hammer. In a car park a 300mm square shaft Stanley flat head screwdriver, huge and sturdy as it gets.

Some I found in car engine bays at the junkyard or just lying in the middle of the street. I once found couple wrenches partly buried in dirt in a canyon area, seemed like it's been there for decades. They were so rusted that you can't tell the brand nor are they usable. I have magnet bar in my garage that I stick them all onto whenever I find stuff like that for decoration and as a conversation piece. The only Snap On found was a very old aluminum flashlight hiding in a 1990s Honda engine bay. And guess what? After replacing the battery, it still works!

    Hello again, Doc
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I was working as a Aircraft Transient Alert Specialist on a over sea's Air Force contract. I launched and recovered military and commercial aircraft. Part of the job was checking for (Fod) Foreign Object Damage or Debris. Which was mostly flashlights, cellphones and some tools. Like pocket knives. The best one for me was a Spyderco knife. I turned in everything to the lost and found. I expressed my interest in the Spyderco knife. And I still use it as my EDC. Again thank you 😊

I’ve found tools on my running routes often enough that I’ve started running with a fanny pack. I found a really graceful Gedore slip-joint pipe plier, a Husky folding utility knife, a Craftsman USA 9” 3/8-drive extension that I think is pretty old. A lot of good stuff out there if you keep your eyes peeled.

I found a 11mm snap on wrench in the street while riding my bike. Still have it and my father found an older 3/8 black S O ratchet lying in the road years ago. Needs a rebuild kit but the head seems very sloppy. I’m tempted to warranty it and see if they can do anything

I have also heard of really nice tools being found in cars, although that has never been the case for me personally.
I did find two pairs of older US made locking pliers in the same month once though, one MAC and one Vise-Grip.

Had a Napa store install a battery in my car once and a few days later when I went to open the hood to check my oil I found the 3/8 Carlyle round head ratchet still laying on my new battery that he had used to install it with. Still use that ratchet today 👍🏻

I left my snap on torch on the magnet underneath a customers car, it was still there when the car came in for the next service and still had power.
Also found a fluke 77 in a broken vehicle i got cheap and then used it to finish the diagnosis.
