They are interested in seeing his downfall you need to understand that. Drake has done a lot of mean things to a lot of people so yes people want to see him go away. You probably don't but a lot of people do and his time is coming.

People don’t be doing their homework, then they act like what they’re speaking is gospel. A lot of notable rappers in my opinion outside of meek mill had already been bodying Drake throughout his entire commercial career, who I consider to be hiphop at its core.
Joe Budden, Common, Pusha T and tho they are notable amongst a certain generation/demographic, they are not widely commercial, nor with as large as fan base as Drake . Along comes Kendrick who has almost as solid as fan base as Drake. So it wasn’t just people hating Drake and wanting him to lose. Same thing with Nicki Minaj, Lil Kim bodied Nicki, then at some point even Remy.
Nicki very early on in her career even ended up bodied by a UA-camr named Keys da problem. It’s Nicki and Drake’s rabid fan base that have kept them afloat, who are the same people who equate the numbers as winning rather so the quality.
If you were in high school when Drake came out, then you can't remember a time in hip hop without Jay-Z.

And Whats The Dirt gave more info that solidified that theory for me - like the wine cooler spilling on his white shirt being referenced in the song but also actually happening in real life.

Mainstream media purposely NEVER said anything negative about Drake. This stuff isn’t new. Regular common folk don’t have a louder voice than brainless media and other mainstream blogs/social media sites. Drake could literally put out anything and it would sell and sheep fans believe in bs #’s. Drake didn’t care about Hip Hop. 💯💯💯

I think those old critiques do matter now because so much of his popularity is based on his ✨aura✨and Kendrick chipped that. Its never been more widely accepted to mock Drake
When he first came out the prevailing criticism was that he was fake and corny. But when Take Care came out the music was good enough to kinda override the corniness. He cant make another Take Care.

Drake did NOT put Kendrick on. Dre called him and said he likes his music. Yes Drake took him on tour but Kendrick more than returned the favor. And even if that was the case, Kendrick isn't beholden to him for life. Just because someone gives me a ride to the supermarket doesn't mean I have to feed them every time I cook 😂😂😂.

I disagree with the overstaying their welcome narrative. They just do a bunch of bullshit that’s why people are tired of them..and they just happened to pick with wrong people at the right time. A lot of the stuff being said about Drake is stuff i’ve said YEARS ago.
