I first discovered Ray Porter with your first novel, and now I search Audible for everything Ray has narrated. I’ve listened to over TWENTY books now, all because you!!
Absolutely! I did the exact same thing! Joseph Bridgeman series, Sons of Valor series and Tier One series were all excellent listens because of Ray Porter
@@Dashmogeek already have! I’m a serious fan! I’ve also listened to James Abel series (Joe Rush), Peter Clines (Threshold Universe), The Battle Born series (Jack Stewart), Feedback (Dennis Taylor), AG Riddle (Quantum Radio), Paradox Bound (Peter Clines), Nick Jones (Joseph Bridgeman series), but all you’ve mentioned were excellent too!!
So awesome…! I’m one of those people that listens first, and then reads the book for myself after. Ray puts me IN the universe where the story is taking place. Such a pro.
Fun insights. I was only familiar with his voice as the more comical tech nerd BOB before the Reece books, and there was a short period of adjustment to this completely different universe, but he is wonderfully versatile.
Been listening to him for YEARS, it's so good to put a face with a voice. He does an amazing job as a narrator. He, George Guidall, and Scott Brick are my favorites! Awesome video and thank you for recognizing an amazing narrator, I NEVER see that with authors!
I am so glad you went with ray porter I was listening to him before and he’s all I search for new stuff for audio books I hope he continues doing all the books I listen too and he made this book come to life
I listened to Project Hail Mary and then started listening to The Terminal List and was so happy to connect the two because I knew it was going to be fantastic because of Ray
Listening to the series for the 3rd time. Currently listening to The Devil’s Hand. I couldn’t imagine ANYONE else reading these books to me. Ray IS the goat! How he remembers all the voices! His Hastings’ (all of them!) are impressive!!!!
Ray Porter is my favorite narrator. I started hearing him when listening to sons of valor and the tier one series. I was so happy when I started to read your series and he narrated them. Also thank you for keeping the same narrator! I drove 3 hours a day round trip for work and his comment about reading this for the person commuting hit me. Hats off to both of you. I started with Vince Flynns Mitch Rapp a few years ago and since I have binged through Brad Thor, Brian Andrews & Jeffery Wilson, and most recently yours. I love them all but like was said in the conversation yours has a different cadence. It is unpredictable. I have been wanting to begin writing, I have since I was a kid. Your series inspired me to get off my ass and do it finally so thank you. I'm about to start your new release on my drive Monday, keep up the great work!
While I wait for new Terminal List/James Reece novels, I started on books from the Jack Carr Reading lists... But lately I've been on other books narrated by Ray Porter! He is an absolute legend. Great choice by Jack Carr from the beginning!
I have to say. I don’t know if I’ve laughed as hard listto an Audiobook as did listening to Ray doing “ Cremmins and Woody” surveillance van banter during Reece and Katie being attacked by the Iranians in “The Devil’s Hand”! OMG, when Woody says “He’s a bad Muthaphucaaa!!” I spit my Monster all over my windshield.
He's really great, but he shouldn't ever imitate female voices (in fact, nobody should!) as this completely ruins scenes with unintentional humor. (For PC reasons, I won't tell what he sounds like. 😂)
Ray Porter is simply the best in the audiobook world. Hands down.
I love Ray Porter. I have trouble deciding whether I like him, Jim Daley, or Michael Kramer more. Mostly, I just love all 3 of them. :)
He and Scott Brick are 1 & 1A as far as I’m concerned.

@@chrisbayus5189 all of those and more!!
Tier One and Sons of Valor are amazing. Go listen to the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Mayberry. Probably Porters best work

Same!! I’m spoiled now because other narrators don’t cut it

I actually look for books read by Ray Porter because he makes the story so much better.
Been listening to him for YEARS, it's so good to put a face with a voice. He does an amazing job as a narrator. He, George Guidall, and Scott Brick are my favorites! Awesome video and thank you for recognizing an amazing narrator, I NEVER see that with authors!
Ray Porter is the standard that judge all narrators by.
I am so glad you went with ray porter I was listening to him before and he’s all I search for new stuff for audio books I hope he continues doing all the books I listen too and he made this book come to life
I have found new audiobooks searching for Ray Porter as the Narrator. Him and RC Bray are the goats of this medium.
Love Ray! James Reece, Keith Chunk Redman and Dempsey I’m addicted.
Yes! Bring on more Sons of Valor and Tier One!
The man with the Golden Voice. He does Pratt extremely well.
Ray Porter is by far my favorite audiobook narrator!
I listened to Project Hail Mary and then started listening to The Terminal List and was so happy to connect the two because I knew it was going to be fantastic because of Ray
“Ready The Armada. We will use the old ways.”
Ray porter is the GOAT

Omg Jack
This dialect sloppy conversation is so amazing as I’ve been learning languages for years.
So much value in Rays perspective.
Book 7 soon baby! Super excited
Ray is the greatest narrator that has ever narrated. I have been listening to audiobooks since they were “books on tape”. Never been a better!
Ray Porter is the GOAT 🐐
Love Ray Porter narrating Jack Carr’s books! Brings every character to life.
Thanks for doing this interview. Good to see Ray Porter. He does an amazing job
Because of Ray Porter I got to know you and your novel’s.love everything you have written and what Ray has done!
Ray Porter is so cool! I’m really glad you have him for your books. Keep up the great writing, I’m a huge fan!
Ray Porter brings the characters to life. Tops my narrator list.
Thanks for having him on. He's amazing!
I love Ray's narrations!
I look specifically for books that are narrated by Ray Porter. He brings the pages to life
Love me some Ray Porter!
While I wait for new Terminal List/James Reece novels, I started on books from the Jack Carr Reading lists... But lately I've been on other books narrated by Ray Porter! He is an absolute legend. Great choice by Jack Carr from the beginning!
Best in the business!!
I have listened to all of them and love his work.
Great to put a face to the voice!
I enjoy Ray's reading of the Jonathan Mayberry novels about the Joe Ledger character as well.
Listening to Ray, it makes me want to re-listen to them again. (For the 10th time) 😂
Ray is the man!! If you haven’t checked him out in the power of the dog series, I highly recommend it
My money is on Ray being Danreb in the live action adaptation.
Tier one/sons of valor series NEEDS to meet james reece
Ray Rocks 🎉
Jack Carr’s work is fantastic. Ray Porter’s voice acting is equally as good. Love his work on the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Maberry.
I am more likely to purchase an audio book if Ray Porter is the narrator.
I give Ray a 9.9 out of 10. He's really good. His female voices can be funny.
Shipmate please come to the northeast for the book tour, especially since a NH company is sponsoring this podcast. BZ
Ray does most of the Jonathan Maberry if you’re into sci-fi. Joe Ledger series is particularly good.
1) Ray Porter 2) R.C. Bray 3) Phil Thron .
GOAT❤
Kewl2have the story behind the voice. Nice inclusion
I like sausage😂
He is the BAHB
Darksiedd
Jack Carr should run for president.
Yeah, Mack Bolan, Mercenary, Punisher...... at a certain pint they are just predictacle. Carr's books are not.
He's really great, but he shouldn't ever imitate female voices (in fact, nobody should!) as this completely ruins scenes with unintentional humor. (For PC reasons, I won't tell what he sounds like. 😂)
Book 8 ? 😊
