I definitely agree on the full-frame footage - better for shorts or IG stories maybe. I tend to watch your videos in full screen mode, which makes a more immersive experience. I did chuckle at the blurred speedometer a little too but I understand completely 😆 Thanks in large part to your videos, I have ridden the Z400 extensively, and really like it.
Very nerve-wracking watching some your filtering/lane-sharing, especially the truck with all the canisters inside. That is not legal in my state, though I have ridden in states where it is in the past. I don't quite have enough confidence yet to do it to the level that you do. I note that you mentioned longer rides - is that something you plan to do? I am curious about the viability of the Z400 for something like a 3-4 hour (or longer) ride. i feel like the stock seat is not optimal for that, and I would want to find a set of panniers for it as well. I am sure such things exist, I am just not familiar enough with the market yet. I do enjoy the bike for commuting, and exploring the countryside within an hour or two on the weekends. It has been above 90F several days here in Kentucky over the past few weeks, and we will just be entering the hot part of the summer here over the next couple months. Mesh gear is definitely a necessity.
Glad you got the service done! I will have to check with my dealer and see how strict they are as well. Really enjoying the videos, thanks for posting.

Thanks a lot for the comment! Gonna start with the fact that I'm definitely not that confident lane filtering haha. There's many other riders just zipping by cars effortlessly, admittedly dangerously too. About longer rides, yes! definitely interested, and I've been on a couple of at least 2-3 hours one way, and the same on the way back. Actually gonna post a vid tonight of my latest one if you wanna check it out 🏍️ The stock seat is not optimal indeed, your butt gets quite a beating. There is a higher seat available from Kawasaki but I think it might make it too high for me, its expensive and might not be the greatest option either. Instead what I'm experimenting with is a little Gel seat pillow which you can add on top. Seems to be better than nothing so far :) Otherwise its great for trips too, pretty large fuel tank for the overall size of the bike as well. Cheers!

I was told that going even 2km over the 1.000km limit would void the 5 year guarantee provided by Kawasaki. Had mine serviced at 900km instead

1000 is just a ball park figure, use a different dealer. There's no exact science, its just roughly at this amount of mileage then things such as the first oil change would need to occur. I haven't heard of Kawasaki even doing 5 years at least in my country, my bike has 2 years + unlimited mileage.

@@Adam-pl6vq I believe the 5 years Kawasaki K-Care was upped from 2 to 5 years for the 2023 models and onwards. I have a 5 year warranty from Kawasaki in writing, so it is a thing

That's pretty cool! I too only have 2 years sadly. Although Honda does offer 4-5 years here. Also, the guys at the dealership did comment about being over 1000km but I think we good😂

Would you recommend your phone mount? Did you use it at highway speeds?

Definitely! It's the slickest one you can find imo and definitely sturdy enough for highway speeds too. A bit pricey but that's the name of the game I guess
