my grandson came to me yesterday and asked me to make him a nice sized rose to present to a girl as he asks her to his first School dance thank you Crystal for making this possible... Always feel so much joy giving crochet items to people.... on my second box of 100 Cross Bookmarks donating each month. this year to her Church outreach Ministry...
I just love you and your tutorials🥰❤️! I am 80 years old and have always know how to crochet the single crochet that my grandmother taught me as a very young child. Have made lots of Afghans only doing the ripple ones. After about 30 years I started crocheting again the simple ripple afghans and was getting tired of doing them. I discovered UA-cam and after searching many tutorials found you. You are amazing and opened the door for me. Needless to say my family is enjoying the caps and etc. from you that I am loving making! Thank you so much dear lady😘!
I am 80 years old as well! My oldest daughter taught me to crochet about 8 years ago when my husband developed Alzheimers and other health issues, i was his caregiver and crocheting relaxes me! I have made baby blankets, hats, flowers, and many other items for gifts. i enjoyed the Rose tutorial! It is the best one that I have followed and much more easy than any other video on here! i just made a purple one and it came out exactly like yours! Thank you so much and I wlll be watching more tutorials from you! Cheri Bartlett
i've been sifting through so many rose tutorials and by far yours is the easiest for beginner crocheters like me 🥹thank you so much, enjoyed doing this!
I remember crocheting this marvelous Rose for the very first time - back when I mistakenly thought that to subscribe to a designer’s channel was like a paid subscription to a magazine...imagine my delight when I finally realized that my introduction to Crystal’s wonderful world of the art and joy of crocheting was FREE! Thank you, Crystal for allowing us to enjoy so many of your unique tutorials!💝💎
You are the best crochet teacher ! Your tutorials are easy to understand. I go on your site for everything. The C2C was well explained and easy to follow. Thanks !
Thank you so much. I have just made a purple and silver Platinum Jubilee Rose to celebrate our Queen's 70 years on the throne. I am turning it into a brooch for my friend's birthday, next week. I am not a proficient crocheter, but your instructions are so precise and clear and my rose was a success. Thanks again Gail xxx
Thanks, Crystal, for this tutorial. The roses will make nice boutonnieres for weddings or proms, or corsage pins or wrist corsage for Valentine's day for seniors in nursing homes.
Hi it's my first time making this beautiful rose and I it came out very good am so proud of myself feels so happy . I want to thank u for taking your time and showing us how to make this beautiful rose thank u soooo much
It's been 5 years but I just want to say that this was the perfect thing to make my boyfriend for valentine's day, and I even made it black with 2 leaves to look like the rare black roses from animal crossing that he just got back into, thank you 🧡
I just made a red one for Mother's Day and my mom loved it, and also I just got possession of a really tiny crochet hook and microcrocheted a small one using lace thread... it was SO difficult to make but it came out so tiny and delicate and beautiful. If I ever wanted to suffer through making more of them they would make beautiful additions to a white lace dress, a lace bag, pretty much anything! This is definitely one of my favorite patterns!
LOVE THE ROSE 🌹 & THE LEAVE'S 🍃 ! I always think of precious Evelyn Rose every time I see one 🌹🙂❤. Thank You Crystal for making Your Tutorial's so easy to follow ❤❤❤🙂!
So glad I found you again. I followed your tutorial about 7 months ago. Now, I'm going to make more roses and had to search hard for you. This time I wrote down your channel and video number. I use thread # 12, variegated ocean colors with a size 2.75mm hook. I use the roses to decorate my homemade covid face mask. I dangle the roses down from the mask, to resemble earrings. My face masks look great. Many thanks, I appreciate your easy to follow tutorial. Health and safety, always...
I had such success with this method after trying so many other videos here on YT. I am in my 60s and always crocheted free hand since age 14. Now after so many years I am able to use this to be able to make roses nicely and figure out my own preferences for sizes, etc. Thank you so much 👍
Crystal thank you for the rose pattern. I just made it and it turned out beautiful. I want to make many more for a vase. 🌹 Thank you for explaining it step by step so well. Love from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
This pattern was inspiring. I made the rose and leaves but then to make a birthday present extra special I chained some stitches to look like ribbon, wrapped them around the present and stitched the rose on top. I knew my sister would love this, and she did, she cried. Thankyou Crystal, keep up the good work.
I made this rose with "I love this yarn" from hobby lobby in white with a metallic sparkle strand just by watching along as you did it.. it came out so much prettier than my normal roses.. I saw the notification for the video as I'm trying to create my first ever dress for my daughter's first communion in April. This rose will now be added to her dress at her hip just to add that "touch" of extra beauty... unfortunately I don't do Facebook for personal reasons but if you had a direct email I could send you pictures of my progress as I finish it. Not all of it will be crocheted... just mainly the bodice and the rose and the net I plan to drape over the tule so it's not so poofy like a ballerina's tutu... I actually got the idea from an antique Barbie dress with the pillow under her dress that I just found on the internet one day. Can't wait for it to all come together... c ant wait for you to see it either.. you've been the best teacher I've seen and I love every single one of your videos!! I was glued to my phone everyday when you'd go to the post office for the Christmas giveaway. That was beyond words how crazy amazing that was and everyone just being so caring and generous in the Christmas spirit.. I'm sure the winner started crying when she heard her name.. I know I would have.. lol

Your tutorial was well explained and showed, and I was easily able to follow along and keep up. Thank you so much!!
Hi my name is Donna and I've been following you for the last 3 years and on this Rose at the end where you show us how to put the pedals together and secure them I took red yarn and secured it to the first single crochet space and then I rounded everything and put the leaves where I wanted ....the yarn that was secured to the first single crochet space threaded all the way around...turn it over and tie a knot...both ends are now secured...easier then glue or sewing...
Heres the written pattern: Chain 56 (1)1sc into second chain from the hook (55) (2)V stitch (chain 2 between a double crochet) ch1 turn (3)work in ch2 space- 7dc. 1sc per space bf vstich slip stich into final stich and yarn off. Sew together (roll it up)
