  • Hello and welcome back to the channel! If you haven't been here before we are Alex and Jess of Aesme Studio - a seasonal flower business based in London.
Hurrah! It's the beginning of February, the first bulbs have started flowering in the garden and their colour and scent couldn't have come soon enough. This year for some early spring colour we've planted lots of different varieties of Iris reticulata, a dwarf perennial iris that comes in a range of beautiful colours from icy blue and gold to deep plum. Jess gives the names of her favourite new varieties and a suggestion on how to maximise stem length for flower arrangements, and Ally makes a gently curved arrangement using a single stem of the pale yellow 'Katharine's Gold' and a textural piece of blackberry vine.
If you're interested in learning more about the wonderful world of arranging flowers, our latest online course Garden to Vase is out now and you can save 20% if you enrol before the end of the month! www.aesme.co.u...

What’s happened to my two favourite posh girls I wonder. Your videos were good before, but now they are just blinkin’ delightful. A subtle change for 2024 that I can’t quite put my finger on. An element of older/wiser/happier there - dunno? You seem very warm and giving, without artiface but meticulous in your art, and sharing it with us generously and without condescension. Seeing you develop is like observing the evolution of a beautiful garden. I loved the arrangement - I’ll have a go at doing something with a bramble. I have plenty.

I love all of your videos so much. Your knowledge is astounding, your work is amazing, and it’s wonderful to see you both so dedicated to your craft, growing, and educating others.
But can you please invest in microphones for your videos? It’s really hard to hear your speaking audio in most of your videos. 😅

Hi thanks so much for the lovely feedback, it's great to hear you're enjoying the videos! Strange to hear about the audio issues - we use professional mics in all our videos and it seems clear as a bell our end!
