We love Daphne but haven't had the chance to use it in an arrangement yet - have you tried splitting up the end of the stems and letting them drink from a bucket of very warm/hot water? A Japanese florist who worked with us at the studio always used to fill vases and buckets of woody stems with water straight from the hot tap and it worked brilliantly. I've split the stems but haven't tried using warm/ hot water - will give that a go later. Fingers crossed!
