Thank you for the useful insights! I definitely consider growing hellebores next season.

Lovely arrangement and great tips. Does searing work on woody stems too? I'm struggling to keep Daphne from wilting, but love the perfume, so I'm keen to know what might help!

Thanks so much. We love Daphne but haven't had the chance to use it in an arrangement yet - have you tried splitting up the end of the stems and letting them drink from a bucket of very warm/hot water? A Japanese florist who worked with us at the studio always used to fill vases and buckets of woody stems with water straight from the hot tap and it worked brilliantly. Hope this helps and let us know how you get on!

I've split the stems but haven't tried using warm/ hot water - will give that a go later. Fingers crossed!
