    Love Coach Al! Have met him many times over the years and he's a treasure to basketball history!

    Al Attles was not known as a great offensive player but he had a high basketball IQ and played great defense. He was also a great coach and coached the Warriors when they won the championship that was led by Rick Barry. Another thing Attles was known for was being one tough dude, you didn't cross him on the court. When he got into a fight, it didn't last long.

      aside from the great legends, the other players were scrubs. most D-league players today could have been great nba players in that era.

      The game was different back then, they didn't allow athletes to dunk or perform flashy moves in the 60s.

    • @Legend33Larry
      @Legend33Larry 10 років тому +1

      Drew Chadwick They were allowed to dunk. Make some research. On the other hand, dribbling rules were different thought.

      Back then, it was hard to switch hands while dribbling because of the overbearing carrying rules. That's why you never see any players in that era do "crossovers" and such.
