You did a great job on this video. You may have been a little critical on the audio though. I use the X3000 it to record music videos (me playing guitar and singing) - it is true there is a hiss before I start playing, but I edit that out. Once I get started "3,2,1," and talking or playing, the hiss is gone and the sound reproduction of the music is right up there with some very nice zoom units I've used. Nice and clear. I agree fashioning a windscreen would be a good idea.
I got an FDR-X3000 last year, and picked up a couple of the Wasabi batteries. They are NOT as capacitive as the OEM batteries. For a test, I recorded at 1080p, 30FPS with everything (WiFi, BT, GPS, etc) off. The OEM battery recorded for 2 hours and 40 minutes. Both of the Wasabi batteries only hit 1 hour and 40 minutes.
RX0 is not an action cam. RX0 is a camera that is useful for a filmmaker. The bigger issues for the RX0 are that it doesn’t actually record 4K footage in-camera - you need an external recorder like the Atomos Ninja Flame.
Sensacional vídeo. Gracias por el material. Por favor, podrías aportar diciéndonos cuánto dura la batería la batería grabando en 1080p y en 4K. Además, cuánto dura funcionando el visor-muñequera? Gracias.
Hey Jordan its is great Action Camera Review I saw recently like you have done everything which is in the book of Test(that's made up by me)to test the camera and I was a bit confused over the Sony's X3000 but after seeing your review for the camera I am now 100% confirmed to buy one soon(actually I am on Budget😊) I say thanks for making this detail Review video and I believe like me you have helped a lot of guys Cheers Jordan 😇✌
Great video as always :) Jordan can you do video about your smart home setup (lights and other connections that can also be voice commanded with either echo or google home ).
How does it mount to a helmet? How do you mount to a helmet when it is in the waterproof case? How do you plug in the microphone when it is in the waterproof case? Thanks.
I've bought Sony camera and it was nice, but half a year after the warranty finished it stopped working. Without any reason. I took it from a shel and it was not working just interference instead of video. Sony service couldn`t explain the reason, just proposed to change the lens and of course not for free almost: 50% of the camera price.
Just what I need. Another camera I want. Great review as always, my dude. I kinda really want this now. That's a great picture and the audio is surprisingly good. Same as with the Rx0, I don't understand the airplane mode. I'm only used to GoPro which only connects when you tell it to. I'm also curious about the SteadyShot options. My Rx-100 has the same Active and Standard. I always use Active, but I'm not sure I could even fib about the differences...
From what I've seen in other videos, the Sony is constantly scanning with its wifi/bluetooth if you leave it on, and if your mic cable isn't shielded, it can interfere, so airplane mode both saves battery life and audio, except the mic audio is pretty poor. Active vs standard just changes the amount of stabilization provided, I think, but couldn't swear to it, lol.
Those wasabi are junk and won't last long. I have 4 that only last 40 minutes in 1080/30fps in my fdr-x3000(started around 1:15), compared to the sony which go 1 hour 45 minutes. The 1600mAh label is a farce.
Dude you talk and scroll way to fast! I am trying to listen what you're saying, being a novice, and I have to pause and rewind to catch what you're saying.
A lot of the car vloggers that i watch use this camera, very nice quality footage as far as i can tell. Nice and stable.

Exactly the same happen with my AS100V.. the quality image is super man.. and the Stabilization is really great. nice review.
Terrific video Jordan. You are an excellent communicator.
the best action cam..up to this day..just wished it had a monitor in it's body.
The audio is doable but I was surprised by the stabilization it's awesome!

Well, the in-camera audio is better than the last GoPro and the RX0 II. Also you can submerge the x3000 without any case up to 2 meters underwater.
Sensacional vídeo.

The internal mic is so good already. Not perfect , but so good
How long the battery lasts?
Thank you.
Nice Review Thk you !

On medium and narrow mode, your face looked slightly out of focus. Background was sharp. Wide angle everything looked good.
Just random, but what did you cut your finger on :)
Hi Jordan. Great video. Will you do a comparison with this and the RX0? I hope so man. Take care.
Great video as always :) Jordan can you do video about your smart home setup (lights and other connections that can also be voice commanded with either echo or google home ).
Wow late to the game as per usual the language man per usual as per usual I love it
is it possible to record a vid with Sony FDR X3000 and then transfer the file to iphone via wifi (and then upload it to youtube)?
Did you figure out where does the "attachment buckle" fit into ?
I may sound so dumb, but how to you export the video???? I don't know how to watch what i have recorded
This is the same camera Ken Domik uses for his UA-cam Vlog Channel.
Can the battery being charged in the camera, or you need yo charge it in a separated charger?
The RX0 is for professional use in a studio as a secondary camera, IT IS NOT AN ACTION CAM!
great review! thank you!!
Thanks Jordan! What camera do you recommend overall?
Dennis Tetrault Sony FDR x3000

Thanks.
Inside the water why would you use a microphone?

If you weren't on an iPhone, You can connect from phone to cam in 1 step, Using NFC tap.
