Personally didn't like this year's met gala. There was only a handful of celebs that looked brilliant, like Gigi Hadid, but the celebs aren't the ones to blame. i feel like the fashion houses were just a little too obvious. They need to keep the futuristic style to a minimum, so elegance and class can show up a bit more. I know this year was supposed to be a bit more risque, but in my opinion, most of the outfits were plain costumes you could get in halloween from your local supermarket.

They would just show up on red carpets and you would be in surprise. For example, when he mentions how ms. Gomez has 70 something million followers, it's almost as if our society labels talent on popularity of social media followers. It's bizarre. We already know she has talent but what does it matter mentioning how many followers she has. When you really think about it, what's the point of inviting cameras into your hotel getting all dressed for a big event? Maybe it's ego, maybe it's part of the job? Either way it's a choice the celebrity makes with their management on how far their willing to go to "show off" to the public. There are "celebrities" I guess you could call them that are very private. You didn't know about their personal lives. They would show on the job and to me it made them more mysterious & exciting

I know it's Ironic for me saying that because this is social media, but I think it's gotten out of control and not just with celebrities but with people in general. It needs to go away for a while, so people can learn to live without it and learn what's important in life again. Like I don't do social media except for UA-cam (to replace TV more). But I do agree with you on this as well. The Celebs have bigger egos these days and there not as talented as the old Hollywood, which is the really unbelievable part.
