"To build a business I would want to work at " is probably the greatest comment I've ever heard from a business owner. So many companies are so focused on increasing their margins that they are willing to sacrifice quality and employee retention. You don't have to make your guys rich, just position them to not worry about the basic needs of their families. An easily navigated rewards system doesn't hurt either.
@@Livvvid it would be difficult to bring that much business in starting new. A consistent 20 inspections a week would be amazing for even an experienced inspector.
@@hallercory I don’t know how anyone would have the time to do two a day 7 days a week is over doing it that’s working all day every day, shit starts getting confusing when ur going through hundreds of pics in a day
All depends on how you run your business.....CPI average $396 per inspection,. Doing 2 per day make your numbers...... the add services is where you make money.
I really appreciate you doing this video! I’m 38 and from Illinois, I’m looking for another avenue. I’m currently working two full Time jobs and looking to settle in with home inspecting. I came across it and felt it’s right for me but want to make a good honest living on it. Both my jobs are really ( can be) back breaking! But this really falls in my category. Iv watched a lot of videos thus far and searched a lot of info and your video really put it into perspective,Thanks for the honesty !
This is cool, however I wish you've given us an ideal how many inspection we would need to perform at each level (Ex. PT, FT Ave, FT high). It would be great to understand about the expenses you deal with when you're on your own. Thx
About to venture on my own for the freedom to be my own boss. I have experience in customer service and buisness so I am confident. Also my wife will be my marketing specialist. She loves marketing and etc. I can't wait.
im very new and i love this video you kept it real and really dropped some Gems 💎 i would definitely love to fly out to Nc, And Pay for You To Be My Mentor 🙏🏾. God Bless !
What state should I get my home inspector license bcuz I'm currently serving in the millitary and Idk what state I want to move to after I leave so I want to know what state transfer to every state Like for an example theconcealed carry laws n Texas r gud in almost every state I move to.
Thank you for your honest opinion. I was studying to become a home inspector in NC but I didn’t finish it for personal reasons. Great video ! I’m in the process of taking classes to become a home inspector and this video helped a lot . If you work for a home inspection company , do they offer 401k and health insurance?
im telling you, dont go work for a commercial company. find a local realtor, probably a smaller one, talk to them, get to know them, offer your services to their clients at a discount. network from there. own your own company and keep 100% of the profits, build your brand, and hire people down the road.
@@murrayer5426 hey what if you’re new to it and you want training and just to get the hang of it the first few weeks ? Would you not recommend working for a company ?

You would easily make 150k and that's if you took 8 weeks vacation. 40 inspection a month at 400 dollars a pop. 16k for 10 months 160k. Add in radon, water, and mold testing that's another 30k. The problem is getting that work continually.
60-70 seems really low for how essential these people are to sell or buy a home. I make 130k in IT software but work probably half as much. Is NC a low wage state? In Texas atleast it seems like inspectors make or break a home sale.
For example here in NC I’m 18 taking the course right now, there’s only 3 steps! Step 1: 80 hours of Field Training Step 2: 120 hours of Online Course Step 3: Take state exam that’s pretty much it to get your license for here not should where you’re from

Average 60-70k...part time 30k ....upper 100-120k
i'd say the upper is a little higher than that. owning your own company outright can easily gross more than $150k.
I’m looking to do home inspection part-time or weekends. Any tips will help. Northampton County PA
If you work on your own your income will be based on your volume. You can make 6 figures if you are busy and willing to put time in.

Why
What's wrong with self employment for this field?
Self employed inspectors will never admit the mistakes they’ve made. They all talk like they’re perfect.
