Project General Description
The Kapchorwa-Suam-Kitale and Eldoret Bypass Roads Project is a multinational operation that provides an important link between Uganda and Kenya. It's a regional road traversing via Suam border and supports regional and national social-economic growth strategies and improves the traffic congestion in Eldoret Town. The project road supports the regional integration objective of member countries of East African Community (EAC) and Great Lakes Region, especially Uganda and Kenya by connecting to Suam and further linking with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and South Sudan. This is a transformative project that contributes to socio-economic development and regional integration in eastern Uganda and western Kenya. In addition, the improvement of the road will promote the effort of the Governments in poverty reduction through better road infrastructure in the two countries by providing all weather access for the supply of farm inputs and evacuation of produce to major market centers, thus improving the level of service and efficiency of the road network and reducing transport costs. In both countries, the project also includes supervision consultancy, studies, training of unemployed youth and capacity building components. The construction period of the road contracts will be 36 months for Uganda and 30 months for Kenya.
Project Objectives
The sector goal of the project is to contribute to socio-economic development, poverty reduction and regional integration through an improved and sustainable transport system that links centers of economic activity. The objective of the project is to improve access and connectivity between Uganda and Kenya as well as to stimulate economic activity in the eastern parts of Uganda and western part of Kenya and ease the traffic congestion along the Northern Corridor and within Eldoret Town.
Beneficiaries
The direct beneficiaries of the project outputs are the 1.4 million people living in the project zone of influence area, local and regional traders and transporters using the project road. The benefits shall include reduced time of travel to economic and social services notably markets, schools, health facilities, administrative facilities and a boost to more sustainable trade both locally and regionally. Reduced travel time shall be associated with reduced travel costs; reduced congestion of traffic in Eldoret; improved survival out of vehicle accidents and maternal emergencies and health services of local communities. The beneficiaries will participate in the project through involvement during public consultations; during implementation through employment and monitoring through representation at various district and local committees.

Kenya was moving in the right direction but now we're on the wrong direction.
In years to come, after all the dust has settled; people will come to the realization that Uhuru really did a great job in matters infrastructure!
Enyewe Kenya is beautiful. Those drone shots are amazing
We are blessed sana
Uhuru did a splendid job.
He did.
Infrastructure wise, yes.
Most of the projects were overpriced and some were not that necessary.
@@mustolourien5823 Which ones were overpriced? Young and smart Kenyans gained some knowledge in construction.
Very impressive indeed.

Wow! this is nice, good job KENHA 👏👏
Kenya one day will remember Uhuru. He balanced developments in the entire country. Worried if the current in power will distribute developments equally….
He already said that his government will not invest in infrastructure.
@@bensonmuriithi1781 then Kenya will be screwed forever, anyway let’s give him time.

Thanks for the update I know its not easy making such contents .the level of cleanliness its something we need to address more and the nature .
Kenya is beautiful ukienda ocha .Nairobi its messy and not that well organised .
Very true. Nairobi needs to facilitate garbage disposal points.
In Nairobi there are at least no garbage on moi and kenyatta avenue. The only places where there are garbages are lithulu, Ronald ngala road river road area, ngara along ring road all the way to pangani and whole of kamakunje and eastlands
True but citizens have to be responsible too and take care of their trash.
@@soinda87 when local government don't take responsibity for their work, how do u expect citizen Who Pay taxes to be responsible for trash collection
The things i really like about Kenya is that development is happening all over the country and not just in the main cities. Kenya is really on it way to be a fully develop country in the next few coming decades

I can't wait to come to Kenya to visit and find a good place to live. My original destination from the US was to Kenya but due to strict covid regulations I went to Tanzania and now I feel like im stuck here because of litigation, maybe by the middle of the year these problems here will be settled. I already know what type of property I want. Love your channel.👍👍👍👍
You're most welcome. If you ever need Immigration Consultancy Services I can be of help. Again, welcome to Motherland.
Please do!
KamwanA did us proud
I see people praising Kamwana. In reality, he kanyagad Eldy. This bypass was meant to be dual carriageway like southern bypass Nairobi. And there was meant to be two of them. This southern one and a northern one, plus dualing of the roads going through town between cheplaskei to maili Tisa and airport to chepkoilel. But because of politics he shot down all those projects.
When I start seeing ads on your video clips I'll be happy. Congratulations.
🤗🤗
Did I hear someone ask whether we eat roads? An acre going from Kshs. 150,000 to 5million is what now? That is exponential economic growth. Thanks Uhuru Kenyatta for transforming Kenya.
Pure example of enjoying the Fish and not being taught how to fish.
Imagine the raise in value of land and the amount of stamp duty the government gets on land sale, yet you find fools who hated infrastructure development uhuru kenyatta was doing all over kenya
Great bypass
🔥🔥🔥
I can attest to that Lemook road being so bad all the way to Kipkaren Salient. The project was long overdue but it is timely as it has exposed the area, and the socio economic benefits are being felt. This is amazing!

Nice and very important bypass. However, I could not understand what Mr. Robert was explaining to you because I am not Kenyan and no translation was available as well. Anyway, like I said, nice bypass👍.
Oooh, apologies for that. He is so happy that the project was done, the road used to be very bad and worse when it rains. With great weather the they used to pay Kes 150 to Eldy and more expensive when it rained, the road was also not accessible at such a time. The land prices have greatly increased from Kes 150,000 an Acre to currently + Kes 5,000,000 with very high demand.
@@AfrikanTraveller Okay, thanks for the explanation. Love your videos, but the only miss point sometimes is there is no explanation in English when you interview the natives along your great journey. So, I will plead with you to do so since a lot of your viewers are international and trust me, more are eager to join in, but are sometimes simply thrown off by the unexplained conversations that come across along most of your great, elaborate and very insightful video or vlog. All in all, I am loving it as well as wish you a very exciting and magical festive season. Peace out✌

Uhuru did a splendid job on infrastructure despite the naysayers. Unfortunately under hasola we're on a free fall now.
Biurifu. It's not bad to complain about the bad things in our country. But if we sometimes also take stock of the transformation from the little village we were around the turn of this millennium, we would be more optimistic that we're headed somewhere great.
It was so hard to go beyond only a few places in this country. Narrow seriously potholed roads where there was tarmac, people dying like goats in accidents (at least one _major_ one every week, especially for buses/trucks),. Even the road to Eldoret had huge craters for potholes and forget about going to Moyale or even Lodwar.
Beyond roads: None of the 48 counties, only a single centralized dictatorial government. Few bank accounts and sending money physically between places. Electricity for the privileged few and with daily blackouts at that. Robberies running amok countrywide due to lack of police stations/officers/vehicles and difficulty of communication with landline telephones for a privileged few, which could be easily cut. Making a trip to your local chief/D.O/D.C for the most basic paperwork. Many daily fundraisers for trips to India for basic surgeries. Good post-secondary education only if you left the country. We still have a long way to go though. We need jobs and food security
My dear, we are the one's that fund these projects, they don't come from any politicians pockets
@@mpendakiswahili3053 I wish they were built in the 24 years of the Moi era
Honestly on this one, you skipped alot. Video not flowing... Showing sections here and there... Do like you did for the express way .. start from before Eldoret, upto the end of the bypass....
