I just rediscovered those beautiful songs after 10 years! I guess once in his live every true artist writes his own true masterpiece. To me, this here is Rolands! A century masterpiece, a milestone! A bunch of great melodies and swirling harmonies, pointing and flowing lyrics and a heavenly voice. The following work "Raul and the King of Spain" and his latest and almost unknown and therefore completely underrated solo Album "Tomcats screaming outside" weren`t disapointing and very good albums too, but this here is just brilliant! Feels like late autumn days with all the golden colors but also interrupting dark clouds and drizzling rain, its little whirlwinds of fallen leaves throughout a lone walk on empty beaches... And rembering the good times we had then...my love.
agreed. If I had to pick best TFF album, I would probably choose Elemental......but honestly, Songs from the Big Chair, Seeds of Love and Elemental are all three masterpieces.

This album is incredibly "adult". The song lyrics are so real, and the music is absolutely beautiful. I heard it back in 1993. I'm hearing it again, 24 years older, and it hits me emotionally so much more today! So much of the disposable music played today doesn't come remotely close to matching this music. So underrated and under appreciated!
Could be "adult" because Roland had broken up with Curt (professionally, not romantically. lol) and this was Roland's first album without his longtime collaborator and felt he had to move on alone.
