As someone who has done origami for years, this isn't "easy". This would be intermediate. Also, when it came towards the end and you needed to make more important folds, you didn't quite show them clearly as you had in the beginning. I had to pause and rewind the video multiple times in some places.

I'm a complete beginner (been making origami for a few weeks) and this tutorial went really well for me! I have a really cute little fox now.
The only suggestion I have is to watch the tutor do the fold before attempting it on your own--some of the folds he did were only half folds and i didn't see that and folded along the whole crease, and as a result my finished fox has some creases where they weren't supposed to be.
    Overall a great tutorial! Thanks!

He does the really easy folds super slow like we could possibly lose him doing a huge fold.. then with the hard folds like where he inverters the whole thing and simultaneously turns the thing 90 degrees and turns it all the way over all at once he goes sooo fast.. then he goes straight into the next fold without even showing us the final product of the hard fold. After you invert the thing and flip it stop.. show us the orientation its at before u do the next fold.

It's low intermediate at best, the folds aren't very dfficult, but you need to have the general basic understanding of folds folding and paper down. If there were a grading system from level 1-10 this is a 3. I suspect most people that came here haven't done a ton of 1s and 2s before, which you'd need to grasp the steps of this tutorial.

9:18 This took me forever, I could barely see what was happening and I had to slow it down to 0.25 and I watched it over and ever again. Then, I could barely see the tail and mine looked awful. After that, the head just completely didn’t work and I couldn’t see a thing. The paper was too dark, after 9 minutes it was far too fast, the folds weren’t shown clearly and the hands got in the way. My ‘fox’ ended up looking like it was run over by a monster truck.
    This. Is. Not. Easy.

    • @Ounaide
      @Ounaide 4 роки тому +2

This should be easy++, but the guy who filmed was really fucking bad. I was only able to finish the fox only because I have some experience with origami and I had already done some similar folds in the past. Took him 5 minutes to show how to fold a square in half, but after that he went hyperspeed, this is a ridiculous tutrorial

I love my foxy. Thank you creator my friend will love this for her birthday. If you could slowdown at the end some for future videos it would be greatly appreciated. As well as different colored sides of the paper and saying which side to start with down. For the fox it ends up being pretty much 50:50.

This Fox is at about 80% efficiency,
meaning you'll put in more work than you'll see at the end, there are many easy AND simple forms that sit above 100% efficiency, but not for foxes as far as I can see, however this form isn't bad, it'll look good at the end.
The folds are pretty easy to intermediate at the very end.
The tutorial itself is maybe 6/10 it feels like 90% prefolding some of which is uneccesary, slow on the easy folds, fast on the intermediate folds.

Third tutorial for this fox. Even tho it was still a little fast, much better than the other two. It is simple, it would just be simpler if you slowed down what you were doing and re-showed some of the steps. For example, at the end forming the head, you should pause and slowly pull the fold out, kind of like a spring motion. Also, when repeating folds on the opposite side, you should keep the template mirrored. Sometimes you flip it upside down or rotate it 90° and that can throw people off. That's where people get lost. But it is an easy fold. There's no "free forming" and everything has reference lines.

squid jelly true, I’m kind of the same situation, but there was a part( the front legs) that stumped me a bit, because it wasn’t easy to see what was happening. I eventually had to figure it out on my own by looking at the before and after the final leg folds. I can’t imagine a beginner, especially much of them being kids, finding this easy.

I tried and it looked like a diseased bear. This is'nt easy and your hands are always in the way, making it even harder. At least your fox turned out well.

To improve I think you should use a brighter paper(or with color on just one side) and take more time, this isn't a race against the clock, it's a tutorial

God I knew there was a reason I never use video tutorials. I've happily made incredibly complex origami dragons that take me 90minutes each from diagrams, but this stupid fox is impossible from a video. Does anyone have the diagrams? It's by Peterpaul Forcher but I can't find diagrams anywhere >:(

Could you maybe use a lighter colour next time?
It’s really hard to see the folds
Plus it would be better if you actually spoke in the tutorial or slowed it down a bit
