Thanks! I shot one of the easier Lake Chutes a long time ago and I'm sure you can find it in the playlists. I don't like being in something like Wacky's with a heavy pack on and a gimble hanging off my chest. But I think that once the DJI Pocket 3 comes out, I'll be able to lighten my load and shoot some more challenging terrain. Stay tuned!
I’d love to get with you for a lesson next season. We bought a place in Sawmill Creek this past fall and hope to spend more time out there in the near future!
Possibly! I've shot some of the easier lake chutes already. But the one everyone wants to see is Wacky's. And I'm a little hesitant to ski that with a heavy pack on. I'm thinking of shooting Magic Carpet as a test run for the more challenging hiking terrain.
Hey Ted! I know you have been trying to find the right camera and mount to find the best angle to show steepness. I saw Jon Buckhouse used a insta 360 and it worked perfectly. You could really see how steep the bowl was. I recommend that you try using one of those attached to a stick or pole
Thank you for the new vid! I have been running your full play list in the background on one of monitors and saw that you had some mountain bike footage from a while back. Any chance you will be dropping some new MTB footage this summer. Would love to see more of the great Breck trails on here. Thanks!
Ha! Thanks!!! I thought that the fall foliage videos were a good idea. But I actually lost a bunch of subscribers when I uploaded them. So, I'll be keeping this channel focused on the snow-sports.
I love the view looking back up the hill, gives a good idea of how steep it is. From what I see here it doesn’t looks like horseshoe bowl is the steepest area but certainly more likely to have rocks. Is that accurate?
Where I was traversing to, but then turned back because coverage looked thin, is steep enough that if you fall you could do the "slide for life" all the way to the bottom. There are usually rocky spots above the tree-line. Where just depends on winds and what has slid and when from avalanches.
Really love your videos! May I ask what's the best time to visit Breck to avoid crowds? Very flexible but also want to visit at a time where most of the trails are open and the snow is a decent shape (not too slushy). Thank you!
Most years, my favorite time to ski is after the President's Day Weekend crowds are gone and before the spring break crowds show up. For the 2023-24 season, this would be about Feb 25 - Mar 9. After Mar 20th probably won't be too busy either, and the snow conditions are usually still good. And for those who just want to be on the easier groomed terrain where there is snowmaking, about Jan 4 - Feb 15 weekdays probably won't be too crazy busy.
Hey ted. Hows the mountain looking. Checked online and only 10% of terrain is open. Is this unusual for december? Planning a trip week before xmas but dont know if its better to wait till January for more snow.
I actually have not skied yet myself this season. Today was going to be my day to shoot the first video of the season. But other work came up. I checked snowpack charts yesterday, and we were right in the middle of the high and low of the past 10 years. There is an outside chance I might get an "early season's conditions" type video shot on Thursday.
ua-cam.com/video/a9AGSGfe8js/v-deo.html I'm not sure I'll get to it with the Alien Cam this season, but here is link to a video of Bronc from some time ago.
I have skied Corsair on Peak 10, and have also skied Whale's Tail. I haven't skied in Horseshoe Bowl. Which run in Horseshoe Bowl would be a good starting point? Thank you!

I’ve got a question, I’ve recently gotten into double blacks after doing basically every black on the mountain, and I have only done 1, imperial bowl, Unfortunately I don’t really think it’s a double black in difficulty and I think I want to bunk it up, do you have any to recommend? I am thinking of doing windows #1, Windows #6, or horshoe bowl.
I am looking for private lessons for one day for my family. My 16 year old son and I want to learn Snowboarding and my 13 year old son and wife want to learn skiing. Do you offer anything? We would like to do the lessons on March 10, 2024. We all are wanting to do this together as a family. Thanks Dustin H
@@BreckSnowPro Id like to know how you're shooting that view from behind? You said you would explain on an upcoming video. Ill be honest Im not sure I like it. It looks like you're in a video game. However, I really am very interested in how you do it and what equipment you use.
I know. This is a problem with the wide angle of the GoPro...nothing looks steep. But Horseshoe Bowl is steep enough in places that people tumble 100 yards or more to the bottom fairly regularly. I almost got taken out once by a guy doing his best impression of a bowling ball at about 30mph. I saw him coming just in time to push back enough that he barreled over the front of my skis and kept going another 20 yards or so. Be careful up there, and be aware of where you choose to stop!
Great videos. I think I’ve watched them ALL prior to my Brek trip. Thanks.
Awesome, thank you!
Me and my dad use this channel as a reference for the trails at Breck
Love all the practical guides for so many of the runs at Breck. Any chance you’ll do videos on the Lake Chutes? Thanks

Got it! :-)
Amazing view! Thanks for posting.
Requests (sry if I have too much):
-Snow White
-Twin Chutes
-Breathless
-George's Thumb
-South Col/Six Senses
-Serenity Bowl
Thanks!
All good! I hope to have a new camera next season which will make it easier to shoot the more challenging terrain. Stay tuned!
Thanks for the video Ted. We are heading Breckinridge in a couple weeks. Hopefully the snow conditions are good.
I hope so too!
Love that new view and love the videos!!
Thanks for the feedback! I hope to post a little more actively next season with the new camera.

Loved the alien cam. Way better to see how you ski the terrain.
I liked it too
i’ll be in breckenridge from mar 12-15 , looking forward to maybe seeing you out there
Maybe...I'll probably be teaching most days this spring break.
I like your teaching style. I'll be contacting you for next year!
Great! I look forward to it!!!
Great Video. Is there any way you could make a video on Snow White, and how to access it from Imperial. There isn’t much out there lol
One day...yes. But I think I'm probably done shooting vids for this season.

Hi ted How is the snow condition this year?
Pretty good! I was actually surprised to see the rocks where I did. SNOTEL shows snowpack in this part of the state 23% above average right now.
Hi Ted i was wondering how crowded the hills are this year
I don't know what the official numbers are, but crowds have seemed a little light to me this year. Next week should be busy though.
I have skied Corsair on Peak 10, and have also skied Whale's Tail. I haven't skied in Horseshoe Bowl. Which run in Horseshoe Bowl would be a good starting point? Thank you!
Straight down the hill from the ski patrol hut. Watch for rocks.
Is this off of falcon lift?
There is a bowl off of mustang that is not on the map?

Start with Horseshoe. Windows is very different with the trees.
Could you maybe show me a good powder run that’s not too hard?
They are all good on a powder day! Most of the easier runs are groomed though.
