I've made the complete switch to DJI. Not only is there a difference in battery quality, but the overall quality is way better. I plan on getting another Action 5 in the spring to mount in my boat. Great video brother.
@@TheNativeOutdoorsman thanks! Im working on that as well. I saw they have the action 4 on amazon for 200 right now but think its worth the 150 extra. Have you used a power bank to it yet or just the batteries?
@@JupiterBassin I have a Yolotek juice bank that I've used on it, but the camera seems to get really hot, especially when shooting at 4k60 fps. I've never had it overheat or freeze on me though. Usually I'm just hitting the bank for a bit as I have already winterized my boat
@ yeah Im in florida yesterday when I fished a couple hrs it got pretty hot with the sun on it so its hard to judge but it still ran gopro would have gave me an hr and shut off
Hey buddy how are you ? Man i saw the difference in the two camera man . Especially in the video at 11:00 you could see much clear on the Action 5 Pro . That's not a bad price for the action 5 too . Go Pro not to bad too at $400.00 . Would i pay for that ? Yes i would but the battery life on the Go Pro would stop me from buy it if tge battery life is only maybe 20 min & the Action 5 was 4 hours longer . That's what I am looking for . I am thinking about getting a camera to record myself kayaking 🛶 & Trucking 🚛 on the interstate . This was a good video man . Thanks you for sharing this important information with us man . I hope you have a good weekend brother & be safe out there on the water buddy .
Thanks brother. Yeah I really like the action 5. Im doing well I hope you’re doing the same. That would be cool to record your trucking travels. Ready for the tyson and paul fight. Hope you have a great weekend too bro!
For me, the battery isn't an issue as there are aftermarket solutions to use external battery systems for the GoPro. The biggest thing is, "Ease of use". Does it work when I want it to work or does it fail constantly and become a nuisance to use. The GoPro takes the crown in that dept.-lol I will definingly be moving on to the DJI action 5. :) I'm wondering, are the GoPro mount accessories combatable with the DJI A5?
@ yes has the exact same setup when it comes to attachments and mounts. Yeah the battery wasn’t a huge issue with gopro but the overheating and constant issues of it freezing up or shutting off was. But the fact that I can run for 3 hrs without overheating and not having a power bank and cable attached is nice. So far I think it’s super easy to use and the files are easier to see than gopro on my laptop.

From what I see from your video, I agree with your comparison. But, what’s the price difference between the two? Now back to fishing.
The Dji is $350 the gopro $400
@ another plus.
