Don't forget about the hospitals especially the ER area. I'm an ER nurse and there's always people/family members sleeping in their cars as opposed to the uncomfortable chairs in the room so nobody (including security) really pay attention to it. The ER lobbies are a revolving door with people going to the vending machines and bathrooms. I mean we never close so it's always open (cafeteria with healthy options included) climate friendly, WiFi and there are emergency call boxes in the parking lot. Security always patrols but hospitals are safe spots and highly unlikely to ask you to leave 🤷 nobody in the hospital wants a sleepy driver. We routinely have truck drivers in our parking area for that reason.
I bet that's a great idea in most places! Around here the hospital parking lots are paid lots where you either pay by the hour or (sometimes) get validated if you are checked into the hospital.
I buy Shredded lettuce at Walmart for $1.98 and I can usually make three salads in my truck. I also buy an avocado, vegetables, nuts and dressing. Very inexpensive
No big challenge if you're willing to spend the money. Look into Chinese takeouts from your local buffets. In two cities I've visited over the past month, I found two Chinese restaurants that sold takeout from their buffet for $4.75 per pound. The deals are out there. Look for them - unless of course you live in California.
I think im going to try that with my phone battery. They did tell me umpteen years ago, when i got my first phone to let the battery run down to 0 percent. Then charging it to a full 100 percent. Also, they don't tell you to shut your phone completely down to reset it. I should have known that because when i worked at the hospital, we had to shut the computers down every night to reset them.
The vacuum bags are great for storage, Elizabeth! I have a video posted & plan to post another this week. Right now I have 3 sizes. Big cube, large & travel.
I love you Elizabeth offgrind! I eat a lot sandwiches, pbj and then other sandwiches made in my toast oven: butter the bread, add garlic power, take out, add mayo, mustard- two slices of ham or something else, two slices of cheese, add more mayo and mustard and some pesto paste, then put back in the toaster oven And lady? If your ever in tn? I’d take ya out to eat where ya wanted! 😅❤
I just found you. I think you're fabulous. I look forward to watching your videos. You're my hero! I will be praying for your safety from now on. Yahweh bless you. 😊
Be careful to get things that do not have preservatives, which will cause migraines. A lot of those salad bars have salads that are loaded with preservatives
Good challenge! Often these days I’m somewhat disappointed with the quality of what you get at many restaurants for cost. So mostly I prepare my own food to take with me, with having one hot meal a day. On being social & food: most of my friends & I meet-up over coffee/tea because some have some serious food issues. Works for us, although we do go out to eat for special occasions.
@@elizabethoffgrid yup, I get the not wanting to wash dishes thing… we went out to the sustainable fish place today where I can get a nice reasonably priced wild caught salmon keto paleo bowl. I try to have high omega-3 fish once or twice a week. Got a bag of 12 fillets individually wrapped fresh caught frozen from Costco that I keep in the freezer at my condo… but trying to figure out if I can really have my 12v fridge/freezer (one not both) be a freezer on a trip & use a small cooler for day to day food. I’m going on a few weeks trip at end of month & am thinking 🤔 of trying it out.
People living in a cars to avoid paying rent is I don't know not something I could do. Cuz eventually you're going to get tired of it. But it is what it is some people want to do it I hope this person stays safe
Wow... I give it to you.. someone that is willing to do something like this have to have a lot of courage... I will be so scare...😊 Now what does your son think about this journey?

Another UA-camr/ carlifer had her storage space burglarized. Mostly household stuff and some sentimental clothing etc from her deceased grandmother.
That’s so sad!
Where did you get that little cooker you were cooking the broccoli and I need that
here it is Denzin Electric Hot Pot - amzn.to/47B8bK8 (afflink)
I wonder if the jackery was better than this battery? I never hear any1 going thru this craziness with the jackery.
Perhaps! I have not had a jackery
Just found your channel. So cool to downsize when son leaves but what happens during the holidays?? Where do they go for them if you live in your car?
Ah my son lives in an apartment so no problem!
Do you cover your windows when you sleep at night? Seems scary
Oh yes I do! It makes a nice little cave for me to sleep in :)

Yes I agree so often it is just not worth the money! I do though like to not have to wash the dishes :)

If I eat out I was thinking about salads, I am loosing weight by eating salads. I am in my sixites6 so I am trying to be able to keep my weight down.
Salads can be great because all the veggies are so filling :)

My son is supportive, just wanted me to have a satellite communicator so I am always able to get help :)
Oh the drip-feed instructions scenario is infuriating 😂.
