I believe it was from the "Bad Kitty" graphic novel series? I'm not sure if many people know about it because I have rarely if ever heard anyone talk about it, lol
Yes and almost 18 (in April). He definitely doesn't look old at all for his age, he may live more than twenty years. He's also the oldest cat I've ever had

@@tolkien-pako There's over 200 wonderful dog breeds out there. They just chose the one breed that 'enhances' something they're missing (in other words got them for status, not companionship). I wish I could've had him for one more year at least. Check out the oldest cat on record. It's pretty cool. Also, the current oldest living on record is 26 right now I believe.

You're absolutely right. If it were overwhelmed or super irritated, it would do what most cats would. Throw a fit, and *leave.* Cats are pretty famous for _not_ sticking around when they're majorly upset or irritated or if they can't feel in control. One of our two cats gets moody if people aren't sitting in their regular spots in the living room and will get up, leave the room in a huff, and refuse to come back unless my fiancee, the dogs and I are in our Approved Seating Arrangement. God forbid if I want to sit on the loveseat instead of the sofa. Pako the cat there is just setting some boundaries, and in a pretty calm way all things considered. Not even terribly annoyed, just "alright, if we're gonna share this bed so close together there need to be some rules here. STOP that already!" I'm sure that after 17 years this kitty has had more than one puppy in their life, lmao. They have that begrudgingly tolerant attitude cats who've been around puppies before have, the "Sigh. Great. Another one...well, not like it's my first rodeo. Let's get this kid squared away."

The funny thing about the softer sighthound breeds is how easily a cat can train them to give them respect. Our Irish wolfhound cross(she was half Irish wolfhound and half maremma) was raised on a farm when she was born so already had a basis for not having strong prey drive as both of her parents where livestock guardians(her mum and paternal uncle specifically guarded a flock of chickens) we brought her home and our cat taught her right quick what she accepted for interactions and within months they where wonderful friends our cat groomed her and the only time they quarreled was when our cat stepped on her as our cat has very sharp nails and kneads and our dog didn't like that and that always ended in our dog quickly getting up grumbling and walking away. When our dog got sick our one cat cuddled with her, they never cuddled she curled up over her front legs and cuddled after grooming her face like usual, she didn't live much longer she was an almost 10 year old giant breed but damn was she loved by our cats

Wow, what a long tail! Perfect for chasing! I bet the other dogs are jealous that he can catch it so easily! (My grandma's springer spaniel only had a nub of a tail, but she would still chase it - and every once in a while she'd even manage to catch it for a few seconds!)

Some dogs go goony when they can't contain their joy, some zoom, and some (like our Malamute) headbutt you in the groin and then when you're on the ground moaning and helpless they lie down next to you and steamroller back and forth over your body until you're thoroughly squashed. Borzoi turn into long-faced cyclones, spinning so fast they look as though they might actually begin drilling into the earth. I've seen some dogs spin, but Borzoi SPIN. They're a blur. Real Tasmanian Devil action.

The dog is so gentle yet playfully insistent, and easily demonstrates exactly what he wants; thats classical intelligence! dobermans also have this admirable trait. he wants to PLAY!! I would take him outside in the yard and throw a ball or frisbee for him!! then he can run and bounce and play!!
The black cat tempts the dim-wit pooch by placing its tail within striking distance. Pooch finally got the message, never treat a black cat as a play buddy.

For dogs, the cat body language for "leave me alone" actually means "I want to play". Gets a bit hard for them to catch on.
