I was really surprised how we are all really really really similar in all traditions, features, and everything, even being so religious. I tried to listen to ur naga dialects and I kinda pick-up some syllables and words though I am not sure of their meaning but I believed that we belong to the same family. I am a Filipino and we really look alike...and I also believed that we Filipinos are of Hebrew lineage, and maybe u r too. We are the only Christian nation in Asia by the way. And we have thousands of dialects in the Philippines but now we are one as a Nation.

I feel incredibly privileged, yet honored to call myself a Naga-American and a Uipo girl. Thank you so much for sharing.

So good to see Shishak again after so long in Manipur in his hometown in UKHRUL. I thought my sister too would be there. Anyway thanks for the videos.
Defining a 'naga identity' is very difficult. For example, tomorrow if someone meets a mizo, he says he's indian, people would say, o you are naga! No. U r SE Asian! No. WTF these confusing identities! There are some tribes in Arunachal and Manipur who are still confused as to whether they r naga or not. Naga is a term loosely connecting tribes of eastern India which were hostile to British initially but later gave away after fierce battles. Today they are connected together by Christianity and Nagamese language. Surprisingly in this video nobody recognizes himself/herself as Ao, Angami, Sema, Lotha, etc. but just Naga.
the nagas in manipur and arunachal are not confused! they know they are nagas living in their own land But under jurisdiction of another state (due to improper division of states)!
Really good documentary...happy to see all the Naga brethren in US. It would be really nice if you invite Nagas from other regions not just from Nagaland state. Keep the spirit of Naga alive. God bless you all.
Daaaamn...Naga's in America. What the....where did this come from. 😁 lol. Wow, very nice to see my fellow people living far away from home. God bless you all.
just out of curiosity, why don't you guys try to collaborate with indian american community and make a collaboration vlog ? this will help you all in reducing local american people confusion about you're asian rather than indian. It will make our indian american community more diverse then it is now.
we 've same civilisation, we fought together for india independence. nagaland was to part of Ashoka empire. our roots goes back to 300 bce. i don't think what type of commonality you searching for. it's like saying south india (dravidian) have nothing common with north indian people.
Private Ming has got a point there and that's what the separatist movement in Nagaland's all about. Lost it's steam now though I like your integration concept but the facts need to be presented as facts...and not as a fantasy. Ashoka barely managed to reach Assam and Nagaland was never a part of Ashoka's Empire. Please do some research before you let loose of your tirade of emotions
Even if they are ready to collab with the Indian community over there would the Indian community of USA be able to accept them? That's a big question. & I'll not talk about the race but India is also a part of Asia itself though we Indians are not Asians.
Tialem Jamir tell me how old naga and many hill tribes are and their population at the time of ashoka empire. tell me just some history about nagas of 3rd century bce. i know nothing about northeast of ashoka period but as far as south india concern they used to pay tributes(tax) to ashoka and had made treaty with them and in modern time you can say that those areas were semi autonomous part of empire. And my whole point was collabration with indian community and make them more diverse after all nagas people are indian and that don't seems to be changing anytime soon and i hope they feel proud to be indian.
samyajyoti de listen after indian independence there was same difference between bengali and punjabi on the basis of lifestyle and south indian(Dravidian) and north indian(Aryan) on the basis of race. but look today they all are happily living together in everywhere all around the world and also in america. same will happen with northeast guys.
Its alwats amezing to see some northeastern brothers ans sisters doing somthing good and enjoying together.... And i wish to see them in whole indian american community together. ... Love from rajasthan india... Love you NE.
how do you count from 1-10? please share. This is how we count. 1. ib pronounce eee 2. Ob / R 3. Peb / Pay 4. nplaub sound like Plow 5. tsib / chee 6. rau / tao 7. Xya / Sa 8. Yim / Yee 9. Cuaj / Choua 10. kaum / Kao
We've got 16 tribes, each with their own set of dialects, not even a bit similar to each other. This is how Ao-Nagas count. With the rest of the 15 tribes, I don't even know how to say hello :) 1. ka pronounced kha 2. Ana / Anna 3. Asem / Asmm 4. pezu 5. pungo 6. trok 7. tenet 8. ti / Tiii 9. toku 10. ter / there
Nagaland is like a small country in itself.. different tribes different languages and in some tribes there are multiple languages.. Nagas are unique . and vamkhiv who knows it is quite possible that some Naga tribes count the way you does.. curiosity brings about more knowledge 👍👍.. and am guessing that you are a Burmese am I right?? 😊
No I'm not, I'm Mong, aslo spell HMong but when pronounce the H is silent and it just Mong. We have stories of lost tribes, my elders suggest that they may end up in India. I found it hard to believe but when I heard of Naga people in northern India it click. Not sure if you are part of Naga tribe but why the name Naga and what does it mean?

We the Northeast people of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal, Tripura, Meghalaya should all unit together and form a new Republican country in Asia continent
These states are too valuable to separated and are part of India. India is a country known for diversity and South Indians, West Indians, East Indians, North Indians, Northeast Indians and island Indians as of Daman or Andaman add to diversity. I noticed you left out Assam and Sikkim which are two other NE states.
Nagas have had a severe identity problem but its got little to do with "looking Asian" in India. For example, a lot of Assamese people also "look Asian" but neither identify as such nor have a sense of being non-Indic. In fact, very much the contrary if you consider Lachit Borphukan, the Ahom Hindu general who repeatedly defeated the Mughals and never allowed them to cross the Brahmaputra and after whom the National Defence Academy Gold Medal is named. The Nagas were mentioned in the Mahabharata as part of the Assam king Bhagatdatta's army along with the local Tibeto-Burman tribes of which Nagas are a part. Their isolation due to the forbidding jungle hills not only kept them away from the plains tribals but also from other "Naga" tribes. The term "Naga" was given by plains people to refer to the several hill tribes that had their own distinct languages and cultures, each developed in isolation. A Thangkul is as different from an Angami, Ao, Lotha, Zumi or Konyak as he is from a Bodo, Tiwa, Mising, Mizo, Manipuri or Kachari but all speak pidgin Assamese or Hindi to get by once they leave their village. A lot of the problem was caused by the crude and uneducated lumpen that made up much of India's politician class since independence who looked down on the region, ignored it and basically treated it as a colony. This is only now being redressed but the damage was done and there is no denying that a sense of betrayal and anger still endures. Today, Nagas, along with other from the Northeast, are readily assimilating into the Indian mainstream with some hiccups due to the lingering ignorance but many are now in places of power in politics, army, air force, navy, science, business and education. The future is bright not just for India in general but for the Northeast in particular as it is the gateway to South East Asia.
@Wolithung Kikon I don't need to do research as I am very close to Nagas and have a couple in my own family. But take the hate out of your heart or it will surely come back to finish you off. Would you call a Naga settled in Bangalore with a flat, cars, nice job an "immigrant"? Yes, we all want ILLEGAL immigrants to get lost but there is no place for hate. Besides have you considered the shit being spewed by ignorant Nagas? Grow up, get informed and move ahead.

llotus may be I l be there for Toronto Raptors game. Hope you will meet me there. Just joking😀. Canada beautiful country. Lucky you
You should have elaborate Nagas resides not only in Nagaland state but in Assam,Manipur , Arunachal n Burma(Myanmar)... I do really appreciate ua efforts. So good to see Shishak again after so long in Manipur in his hometown in UKHRUL. I thought my sister too would be there. Anyway thanks for the videos.
I'm Mizo (Chin) from Myanmar and very surprised to see such documentary. Really entertaining 😯😯
Surprisingly in this video nobody recognizes himself/herself as Ao, Angami, Sema, Lotha, etc. but just Naga.
anuj budhkar yes we are Nagas so it's just Naga..
anuj budhkar yeah. That's what we all should have be.
the nagas in manipur and arunachal are not confused! they know they are nagas living in their own land But under jurisdiction of another state (due to improper division of states)!
Some Juan like Dimasas of Dimapur
I’m from Arunachal and no no ones confused
Wow! Awesome! Can you imagine your Vlogs kept me up till three in the morning! Simply loved it. Keep on filming.
I love how proud Naga people are about their culture and heritage ❤️
nice video... much love from manipur keep it up..... 😊
👍
wow ...nice video really cool bro God bless..Love from Kathmandu
do you guys interact with other north easterners? we Assamese people share a lot similar language(nagamese) and history..
Mj Medhi am sure they do
Yap!! We borrowed alot from Assamese!
Every Naga tribe has their own distinct language. Nagamese is an artificial language dervied from Assamese for a common language for the Naga tribes.
@Wolithung Kikon bro u may have forgotten but we also belong to Northeast and we r northeastern... And I'm actually thinking to move to Nagaland
I am from Orissa and notice our Oriya language is similar to Assamese and Bengali and notice how Assamese is similar to Nagamese.
Really good documentary...happy to see all the Naga brethren in US. It would be really nice if you invite Nagas from other regions not just from Nagaland state. Keep the spirit of Naga alive. God bless you all.
Nice! Quite a lot of us, Im sure there are more. I live in Bellingham, Washington. would love to attend programs like that.:)
I love your work...first video (I feel like I have been living under a rock✊)....best wishes..😃😃
I luv naga people So proud to be an indian #northeastern#Arunachalpradesh
They don't consider indian
I watch it lately,,, though it's really impressive, I would love to watch more related videos. God bless you all, Kuknalim.
Lost it's steam now though
I like your integration concept but the facts need to be presented as facts...and not as a fantasy.
Love you NE.
this is a really great and inspiring video, thank you for letting us know about the Nagas in America...Please keep this event alive.
this is soo awesome seeing naga people coming together as a #Family😊 ..
take care guys.. & be safe

Not sure if you are part of Naga tribe but why the name Naga and what does it mean?
well bro I googled your name and found out that you are Mongolian lol.. and in the same way you can Google about the Nagas of Nagaland 👍👍

We the Northeast people of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal, Tripura, Meghalaya should all unit together and form a new Republican country in Asia continent
my youtube do you know GDP of Northeast
my youtube exactly
Where's the Assam🤔🤔 how do u forgot that??
@@billionaire6792 yes!! 80B$
These states are too valuable to separated and are part of India. India is a country known for diversity and South Indians, West Indians, East Indians, North Indians, Northeast Indians and island Indians as of Daman or Andaman add to diversity. I noticed you left out Assam and Sikkim which are two other NE states.
Good job, nice watching this as I was unable to join the conference last year. But glad my brother Wungram and cousin Zing could join.
@kuku sh Yes! When the buses and trucks drive from Delhi to Bangkok, they will pass right by my house in Guwahati, through Manipur and Myanmar. Looking forward to a Punjabi dhaba lunch in Mae Sot!

Is 'naga' a term used only for the Nagaland people cause other states of northeast India , there are tribes called Nagas too😵😵
Not at all, they are Nagas of Nagaland, I,m from Nagas of myammar and we all belong to Nagalim, we have been divided by artificial boundaries.. being proud to be a Nagas
Good to see you guys u are very United even outside India . I'm Khasi from Meghalaya Shillong
I was going to ask if you guys identified yourself (to the other Americans) as "Asian American" or "Indian American." But I found the answer in the video! Great! But hey, do you guys have a community in LA, because I wanna try some Naga food and can't find any good Naga restaurants. Anyone know any?!
I enjoyed it all but still then it was not a complete satisfaction of watching it ..incomplete...! so better next time bring it out more videos of Naga American..hope to see more again..keep it up great job guys. Lots of love from Nagaland.God bless.
Being a Naga after watching this vid makes me relief😌 and wistful😔 at the same time for me not being able to be in that position. Ah whatever, I just have to work hard to succeed and after all I gotta do what I've dreamt of.
