I just got the ONN 11" Pro and I can say for the price it's Awesome. No complaints. Feels smooth and has played all the demanding games easily. Wish there were more peripherals for it but def not a deal breaker.
Thanks for the video! I had no idea that the Onn. 11" Tablet Pro even existed! I currently have a Fire HD10 and use it primarily for movies while on vacation, but hate that I cannot have VUDU on it without sideloading the google play store on it...looks like I may be picking up this new Onn. 11" Pro soo! Thanks!
@@fearlesswee5036it's very easy. 4 apks downloaded in order. I did it once 18 months ago and none of the updates broke it. F droid works too. But still quite limited if you want to use a third party launcher or widgets. A fire 10 is 75 when on sale, but that's with adds. So let's say $90. Can you get a better $90 tablet. Maybe on sale. I saw Lenovo duew t for $99 briefly in store. But that was a fire sale.
I read the Walmart reviews of the ONN Tablet, it doesn't look good for any long term use. Users have reported firmware issues causing complete bricked device, boot loops, WiFi issues, lag issues, turns itself off, hit or miss touchscreen, gets corrupted, and a lack of protective accessories. It'd be better to recommend a Lenovo tablet to the budget user, especially with potentially better CPU and much better IPS screens. I'm not so sure of getting a tablet made by Walmart like you can be sure of their Roku TVs(a shame they discontinued the QLED models).
A lot of people are glossing over the kid aspect to these tablets. Sure, you can side load the Play Store onto the Fire Tabs, but you cannot add any downloaded apps via the Play Store to a Amazon Kids profile after the fact. Only apps downloaded directly from the Amazon App Store can be added to a Kids Profile, so you'd have to let them run off an Adult Profile to play anything downloaded from Google, which defeats the purpose of all the parental controls like screen timeout. With the GPU running better with the Onn, more apps and the ability to actually add said apps to a Kids Profile, I think losing Widevine isn't a bad trade off for kids. They could care less if it's at 480p versus 1080p.
:) Thanks for comparison! I just ditched my old Fire 10 inch tab that ran out of memory and would not quit nagging me about low storage, then would lock up randomly, so to the landfill it went. I think the Onn may be a better value and with Play store, not limited Amazon Apps. No more Amazon devices for me .. ALL the BEST and Cheers! :)
I picked up an onn 11 pro, it's my first tablet since the Nexus 7, 2013! But I really like it! The screen can be meh, the speakers aren't loud enough sometimes, but then I remember the price and I'm so happy about it. It's a great device for the price
@@faccezitCroc I think mine was $159. It might be worth it to wait, but I'm not sure how much they'll take off on the price for Black Friday. It's such a good bargain. You may as well just buy it for 159
Unlike the Fire Max 11, the ONN 11 Pro should be root-able. Previous generations of ONN tablets allowed the bootloader to be easily unlocked, which is a necessary first step before rooting and making custom ROM's. If a factory ROM image for this tablet can be found (or intercepted from an OTA update), then magisk can probably modify the boot.img for root. I'm curious to see if someone does this. If Walmart drops the price enough for the holidays, I might give it a try.
You mentioned the Onn tablet has active stylus support. Is that correct? What type of stylus are useable with the Onn? What stylus are you using in the review for the Onn?
I got the Onn 11 the only thing I dont like about it is that is level 3 and Videos on pay streaming looks horrible. Im debading if I should better get the Fire Max :/
Amazon has a good one here: amzn.to/42I6h6T Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard for Tablets: amzn.to/3FhDnyw Another Good Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard that I've tested: amzn.to/3iQIDzD
But does the ONN have an edge connector like the max 11? also whoch mediatek processor is the better processor on paper? I got he max 11 and haven;t installed play sotor yet but so far I love it, I got the productivity bundle and so far it seems like there are no lag issues like with all my other fire tablets, latest one before this being the HD10 . but the play sote might slow it down. the one thing I notice about the max 11 is that when you add the keyboard case it fells lie the weitght more than doubles. it feels like a lead brick, one hand it I don't like the weight but ont he other it feels like it is really strurdy and premium
Amazon tablet is a lot more money and it's not much brighter than the one I got yesterday which is the Onn 11 inch so my vote goes towards the Walmart version in my opinion.
@@ryanbrancel I can see a big difference on an even smaller screen. I'm sure it's more money, but for a media consumption device it's still a dumb move.
@1:42 The color on the ONN is awful -- yikes! It doesn't sound as good either. And I think Amazon provides updates longer, which is a big deal if you care about security. The ONN's big plus is the Google Play store, but the Fire is $140 right now ($175 with a pen) and has a fingerprint scanner (which I find very convenient). For my needs, which include drawing diagrams and note-taking, I think the Fire wins.
Thanks for the video I don't really need a tablet like the Onn 11" Tablet pro since I got a Acer Chromebook Spin 311 but fun to watch anyways to know other people's opinions on each tablet... In case I wanted to upgrade to a android tablet in the future but I really love chromebooks the most especially mine because it flips to a tablet for tablet mode which is a plus for me...
Keep getting a can't connect to camera prompt with the onn. 11?? It's not connected to any 3rd party apps tho.. Anybody else dealing with this or know of a solution pls lmk
I use the stylus you reference through amazon. Do you think it will scratch up the screen if used without screen protection? I use a certain drawing app alot. But also like to watch youtubes and wouldn't want a scratched up screen
Onn Tablet Pro is definitely the better bang-for-the-buck, Widevine L3 is a big bummer though. The speakers are a lot more tinny too. I guess if you can get the Fire Max 11 at below 200$ then you're better off getting that instead.

Also how much did you pay yours?
Is the headphone Jack useful?

I may go with the Onn 11. The lack of a Google Play store on the Fire is a dealbreaker
I haven't dealt with a Fire tablet in a long time, but if memory serves me right it's a cakewalk to sideload Google Play on the Fire tablets.

i mean to be fair you can literally install it with an apk
It's really easy to install - I've got it on my Fire tablet right now... there are UA-cam instruction videos on how to do it.

Max 11 when on sale is the way to go. Can side load the play store onto it and it's simple to do.
I’ll go with Onn 11 pro because its has good price.
128 gb and 4 gb ram for $159 is awesome.
@@desotopete128 GB storage and 4 GB of ram is the bare minimum for acceptable tablet. Anything less then that is subpar.

There's no argument that the Fire Max 11 is the better tablet with the google play hack.

You can do custom boot loader you need find your build number In settings and tap it until it says you are a developer and it's the 7th option down
Once you do that you can have custom boot load I just don't know the next steps to do so after enabling it LOL
Fire 11 Geekbench 6 scores for reference: single core 930, multi core 2200.
Other than the LCD screen on the onn 11", it's a pretty great tablet. Im surprised it's even running Genshin Impact (my own test)
I’ll go for the onn 11 because it has play store support for more possibilities, which I would download an app for my dvd drive for dvd playback.
fire tablets easy to install play store
Fire vs Water Tablet!!! Awesome 🔥💧⚡

Get a samsung FE tablet for that.

Any wireless charging on the "Onn 11"?
Or the fire.. someone might want to know
No on both
@@FishBeeProductions bummer till good product but annoying to plug in all the time
480p on eevrything except Yotube us a deal breaker. The whole point of buying such a cheap table is video watching🤦🏾♂️
Widevine L3 on the Onn tablet is an immediate dealbreaker. What a stupid omission not to have L1.
Often the difference between SD and HD on a small screen like this is minimal. I'm sure it comes down to licensing costs.

All the Adware and Bloatware on the fire tablets make any amazon tablet absolute junk
I'm surprised that wasn't more of a key point since it impacts overall performance.
That was the biggest reason I’ll never buy a Fire again. It’s been years, but just discussing it triggers me 😝
I think they are great for kids…works well for what it does.
you can remove them easily
spend a little more and buy the add free one.

Are they both 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage with SD slots?

I purchased the Fire Max 11 and returned it within days. My biggest complaint was the audio. The volume was totally unusable. Don't waste your time.

It had a security update right away but I couldn't find out how long it's supported
