Was on a variety of different meds since the age of 5. I turned 20 in December of 2021, for reference. I went cold turkey on all of my meds finally ending my medication with the discontinuation of Strattera in January of 2022. I'm alive, I'm well, & I'm so much better. All the side effects that were my normal for ages are gone. Its an entirely new way of being for me, but one I'd never trade the world for. I'm still putting the pieces together of my past & what exactly happened when but even if I don't I'm just glad I'm all the wiser & healthier without them damn things. Meds aren't candy, so don't treat them like it, either. Please. For your relationships sake, don't fuckin do it. For your healths sake, don't do it. Well wishes to everyone, cuz everyone needs it nowadays

I hear you brother.. I’m still in hospital.. forced medication every anti-psychotic you could name.. 7 years of my life wasted really and I have no idea when I’ll ever get out.. it’s a tyranny a chemical attack on our delicate brains .. as if the chemz in the sky aren’t enough..?
As regards “side effects “.. ; that’s wrong really ; as there’s nothing SIDE about them ...
They are ... THE effects !!!

Psychiateric treatment almost destroyed my life I am now 72 years and I am still suffering
from psychiateric "Help" terrible drugs etc.
It is a very bitter thing because most doctors do not Know about the awful effects of psychiateric medications only two doctors
in my life even was willing to admit the possibility of those drugs having any effect

I'm 51 and a survivor of the mental health system. Not only psychiatrists but therapists strip your personal power away. You don't notice it at first but before long they will make you feel helpless. Take your power back. God did not bring you into this world just so a therapist can judge you, hurt you and tell you who you are and your own destiny. This is NOT the way to a better life. These people are no better than a psychic with a crystal ball

The whole idea of oppositional defiance disorder is laughable..to not ask questions about what might be happening for a child, what might be going on in the family, not seeing if there has been factors causing some disturbance or distress from bullying or neglect to ouright abuse to any number of unmet needs or uncommunicated issues within a family.Honestly its like silence the child at all costs ..its terrifying

    • @lovewavesdriftingforever
      @lovewavesdriftingforever 2 роки тому +12

“The child is the father of the man.. “.. children should be listened to as they know far more than we may realise; if they are constantly monitored and not left to play with their friends without constant interference in their natural playing.. they may grow up less confident in themselves ; precisely because of parental interference... that is what I call over protective; “Surveillance Parenting “ ... e.g. Constant fussing and watching them closely.. This is noticed by the child and his behaviour is less imaginative if he feels mummy or daddy is watching his every move.. this affects the possibility of his playing happily in a self assured way in the give and take; and the to and fro of ; initiatives he makes for himself ; and negotiates any compromises he has with regard to the likes and dislikes of his friends..the communication with his friends therefore ; becomes almost confidential !! He feels free and he can play without censure unless something has obviously become dangerous or hurtful.. as parents we should give children the space they need whilst watching over their safety...
FROM A DISTANCE ; and should accord them as much regard as the balanced adults ; they could eventually become if only they were given the chance..?
Children do not need drugs , but understanding ; kids behave differently because they are all unique.. it is criminal a trespass on the right to childhood to put labels on them and prescribe them mind destroying pills 💊..?

The first 7 years in life are vital. It is when the personality is formed
I spoke to a trainee child psychiatrist last year and she told me that her consultant said that ADHD was made up!
Psychiatrist Peter Breggin, author of 'Toxic Psychiatry' said that most adults would pass the test and meet the criteria for ADHD. We all get fidgety and swivel on the seat when bored.

I concur. "Mental Illness" is a cultural and societal concern with tentacles far reaching globally. We need to understand that issues involving racism, colonialism, abuse, poverty, etc are defined contributing factors resulting in "mental illness" and healthcare and big pharma has been able to engage in neoliberal activities to capitalize off of the harm individuals have suffered.
Women are often labeled with various diagnosis that is systemic representing gender biases and inequity from the 1600's. Your listeners may be interested in the text titled "On Hysteria: The Invention of a Medical Category Between 1670 and 1820" researched and written by Sabine Arnaud.

My observations about loved ones who have been labeled ‘ADHD’ is that they are very intelligent, energetic and gifted. I really hope there is a second video! Maybe you could touch on what the withdrawal was like, how long the medication continued to affect you after coming off of it, and what you would tell a parent who asked you how to help their son with high energy and boredom at school?
