you probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me atm you can stream all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my brother during the lockdown :)
Thank god for your help man, 4 hours of trying to figure out why the pads weren't synced in the right order and your video got me straight in 5 minutes.
Thanks A.M. just updated mpc beats software and mapped it with my New Arturia MiniLab MK II Copped it from Guitar Center they had it on sale for $99 , I couldn’t beat that although I was looking for another piece of gear and With your assist I mapping it to MPC beats , it keep doing what you doing💯🦾
Thank you man! I bought this MIDI controller a few years back and did not use it. The resources from the Akai website have changed but your videos remain in UA-cam! Excited to dust the MPK M2 off and get started. All the best.
first time watching had no clue what you were talking about after a few hours of beating my head in the wall and learning the daw everything you said came together thank you soooooo much
Thank you so much for the clarity and redundancy to help show how to map. Ive been hesitant using my MPK mini so far because I couldn't get any sound to come out. Thanks for the good looks. Also 100% agree on the Sweetwater recommendation. You can find so many deals and they have amazing customer service.
These tutorials are funny but totally get me unstuck. Sometimes you're like "You gotta hit this thing over here" and you don't even say what it is or why it works but who cares cos we got there, and didn't have to watch 30 minutes to get there! Thank you!
Lol. I wish you’d done this weeks ago when I kept struggling with this. All of my problems were dumb user issues from not diving into preferences and making sure the keyboard was enabled to the software. Once doing that I was able to map everything. I have a new novation launchkey mk3 so they didn’t have any drivers ( some of the mappings from old launchkey worked) but I had to make a copy and modify it to add the knobs. Thanks for this as always. This is very clear .
FIRST AND MAN WAS THIS VIDEO ON TIME!!!! I spent hours on hold with Akai only to get an email to a link to a website with broken downloads for the MPK Programs.
THANK YOU. Simple and to the point, even Akai's BS tutorials don't show you to go and click Enable or none of this sh*t works properly. Thanks for simplifying and showing the things no one else thinks to. Nicely done.
Mr Mcree you are a genius. I have spent countless weeks trying to figure this out and it was in the preferences settings under control that I was missing. Thanks...ray
Extremely helpful, thank you! I was getting no sound from the pads or keys... problem was my 'input ports' under 'Edit/Preferences/MIDI Sync' were not set up correctly.
THANK YOU! I don't know what I was doing wrong since it didn't seem like I did anything different but after resetting everything, following your steps, it works perfectly now. So again, thanks for keeping it short and simple.
Geeeeez AKAI. I got the MPK Mini III a few weeks ago and couldn't understand why MPC 2/Beats wouldn't come up when you press the Prog Select on the unit, or automatically detect and map. I managed to map it once in MPC 2, then lost it. Thank you for this!
Yeah I had to enable that control part for my nektar impact lx25 and my nanopad2 I had to figure it out on my own tho the first mpc beats drop I had everything up n running tho it was easy I'll admit at first it didn't connect everything so I know a little something about how midi controllers work in daws so I understand what I had to do i think because i have used so many different daws i know a few different approaches to connecting a midi controller to daws I'm glad you broke it down for everyone else lol
Thx for doing these man! Can we maybe get a vid with your opinion on current Laptops (budget500-750, midrange750-1250, etc) it’s about to be laptop sales time with back to school...
Much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much, Thanx you's bro, watching this has solved my issue for MPK mini!!!!! Yezzir.
I love the SW but this part of it is really buggy or the full concept behind is only known by the developer itself ;-). Even with your good explanations it took me more than one hour to make sense out of it how the concept behind was supposed to work. I learned similar like you showed in your video that the three buttons in the midi/sync settings play a bigger role in it. With the Track-Button still active, I was after a successful mapping to midi able to hear overlapping sounds. One from the original HW-configurations and the new SW mapped ones. Disabling this button made it work for me at the end.
Yeah , I have Akai MPK Mini Player Professional, but I could not use it with the DAW program. I saw an email about this MPC Beats and that this DAW is free. I just don't know what size it is and I'm afraid my computer may be too weak. For now, I'm using Arturia MiniLab with Analog Lab 4 software. I recently started using the Akai MPK Mini Player MIDI controller. Because I have an even older version of Analog Lab (maybe Analog Lab 1 or 2), I use Akai with Analog Lab. I use both Analog Lab on one monitor and record via the free On Line Sound Recorder. Everything is going nice.
Brother THANKS A MILLION for that video. This is why I subscribed. Thanks for that VERY informative video. I've been trying to figure out how to map the knobs for two months now. Your next video has to be on how to speed up the high hats trap style.
Looks easy and thank you for the information. I have a NI Traktor F1 and there is even a preset in MPC beats for this controller. I followed step by step and it just will not work or even detect it. Assistance would be great! Great job on the videos!
I did everything you said man it worked up until you went to preferences. Im looking 👀 at my menus and every drop down menu also and I don't see 👀 the prompt. I appreciate 🙏🏽 the feedback when you are available man.
Why can't AKAI provide this level of tutorial? You rock!! I am a newbie and have been frustrated with my MPK225 connection to MPC beats. It should come pre-mapped right?. Using iMac so preferences is on the Command key-pad. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
My pleasure.. You should be fine as long if you go to your preferences, go to the midi tab, find your controller, turn on the "track" and "control" option, and go to "MIDI Learn"... The rest is self explanatory. Thanks for watching
@@AveMcree just a kick question.. does having a device with pads only makes easier for a workflow? I know some people work with just a midi keyboard and others have a pad controller + keyboard. Dont know if was already written, but the learn midi showoff was wrong. It did not map anything. Unfortunately you are not able to modify existant presets. You need to create a new preset to use the learn button. You can tell that each time you assigned it correctly there will be the indicator number on the yellow overlay to show its mapped. What should I do to set up my controller to use the knobs or the pads ? Both I can´t use when Im doing it your way.
