I don't know about crazy, but he at least get more opportunity in Detroit. I'm still confused how he's gonna mesh starting along side Duren. I mean Pistons basically already had a blooming center developing. Hope Wiseman can become a better 3 point shooter. That's the only way I can see it making sense because it will be a spacing nightmare. Otherwise it makes better sense to make him Duren's backup.
As a Warriors fan you guys have a high potential player. 21, 7’0, Stud build, extremely athletic, fast when running, 3 level scorer, has a handle, & defensive potential. He just needs actual minutes. Top 2 picks are expected to save franchises. Wiseman came into a franchise who already had a championship core & was just waiting for Klay. Getting injured his rookie year basically gave up his spot too. Wiseman needs his minutes!! Will support him wherever he goes
Edit: if you’re wondering why he can’t get minutes on the Warriors, it’s because he does make rookie mistakes. He’s played less than 100 games. Warriors can’t afford his mistakes when they’re defending champions. Wiseman wasn’t helping this season because of minutes & if he’s not getting NBA minutes then he’s not developing. I hope Wiseman gets a chance to show his true potential.
People also believe he doesn’t fit the Warriors system because Wiseman shouldn’t only be a lob guy. Also a 2nd overall pick is supposed to be pushed to save the franchise. He was never pushed to the max because of Curry, Klay & Dray just being there.
As a Detroit fan I appreciate your scouting report. And will give him a chance as if he is a rookie because of your post.. Because sometimes when a top player doesn't pan out (yet) we instantly think they're lazy or don't give effort ( or not good enough to play at the level anywhere near expected) But after reading your intelligent post I will not prejudge him and hope for the best. 🤞.

@@tennaj1367 Also a Pistons fan here. The scouting report is great, but the reason why people should give these players more time is because we live in an impatient society. This scouting report shouldn't be the reason why you give Wiseman time to develop. The fact that he's 21 years-old, and at the time of this post, has only played in 60 gd games! Give him time. And give the coaching staff time.
I really think people are gonna regret clowning the pistons for a trade this time.. klay, dray, Steve Kerr, and that man steph believes in him. Hell they said they are excited to finally be able to see him get a chance.! They all love his upside and work ethic and That’s a great sign because they would get absolutely nothing from faking a reaction to a person that’s not even on they’re team anymore! It's still puzzles me to this day them drafting Wiseman if they weren't planning to use him right. He's skilled big who can pass, face up, post up, dribble, and shoot. But were using him offensively like Javale Mcgee prior to this game...

You have Been very UNFAIR to this young man. JAMES WISEMAN is a FUTURE superstar. He’s literally the ONLY player on the team NOT allowed to make ANY mistakes. Any errors he makes Steve Kerr pouts and makes weird faces on the bench. He’s LEARNING how to play defense. Jordan Poole is HORRIBLE on defense Shooting 43% FG and 32% from 3. klay Thompson has been ATROCIOUS and single handedly responsible for AT LEAST 13 warriors Losses. Kevon Looney is a liability on OFFENCE and he’s not even being guarded. but you don’t hear ANYTHING about these guys because everyone wants to use Wiseman as the scapegoat. Jamychal Green is a VETERAN and he’s been horrible we could have used his minutes for James Wiseman. Anthony Lamb and Ty Jerome are getting more Field goals than Wiseman. He’s constantly been looked off on offence. No 1 knows how to make a entry pass into the post but wiseman gets blamed. JAMES WISEMAN IS A FUTURE SUPERSTAR he just needs a chance to go out there and MAKE MISTAKES so he can learn. Just like Poole 30 games into the season and he’s been BAD 75% of the season. He showed a lot of promise this game. I don’t think the warriors should have traded him. He wasn’t coming along to their liking like they are the organization that is developing him. I think he would’ve gotten his feet under him come playoffs and shown what he can do. I know one day his skills will be show cased at the highest level
As a matter of fact, the Warriors are missing Anthony Edwards, if they had Anthony Edwards, they win another championship
at his current level of experience (which is barely half a season's worth of being in NBA games in 3 seasons after only like 3 college games) he's the type of dude who needs to be constantly moving and doing something to stay focused and make impactful plays. It's not reasonable to ask him to learn how to be a patient drop coverage defender and have perfect timing on screens like Kevon Looney when he actually does better going out to hedge screens instead of dropping to wait for the action, and when he is such a big rim running threat diving to the rim (obviously needs to do better with his timing but he will need actual playing time to improve)
The reality is that he is not on the same timeline as Curry and the Warriors will have to choose between his development (where his skill set might be better suited to an offense that isn't Steve Kerr's current system) and making the most of Curry's prime. I would want to see him traded to a team where a young, physically gifted center picked in the lottery can really develop and use his skill set to its full potential instead of trying to imitate blue collar centers (who definitely deserve more praise than they get, but are just different) like Looney and Bogut.
James does alot more than Kevon! That's basically all that Kevon can do well. Yet he can't even guard the legit bigs in the league.
