He could never get the reps he needed in GS to develop IQ through experience. All the skills and tools are there though. I’m rooting for the kid.
I'm glad he got traded because everybody called him a bust when he didn't have the freedom to play and couldn't fit for a motion offense. The Warriors system is guard-centric and a fast pace. They want him to be a defensive mindset and just a lob threat like Javale McGee but Wiseman's playing style was more like getting a post like Al Jefferson or Zbo but with limited footwork. I'm just happy he got on a team that can give him minutes to play and can commit many mistakes to grow.
Funny thing is. He is finishing like 78% of his shots at the rim. Warriors just had to make a small adjustment to their system and he would average 12 and 8 every night.
@@iketurner_no but they could’ve utilized him better, especially in a lost season. they never tried to throw him lobs or get him easy looks. it’s bad coaching
@@MacLaw3084 he’s right tho. Wiseman ain’t gonna become better staying at gsw. His style don’t complement the current warriors’ play style. That being said, warriors shudnt have traded him this season. They need someone big to rebound. They could have betted on him since gsw are so short of manpower
What’s crazy is this wasn’t even necessarily a good game by Wiseman and yet it was a good game statistically. He has so much room for growth and the competition with Jalen Duren should only emphasize him staying on his toes. Defensively he is still a beast around the rim and a clear mismatch in the post offensively.
Warriors were and still are in need of interior presence. Literally 1 game below .500 when they traded him. Warriors aren't and weren't contending this year as much as they and you might think. This was a blunder on Kerr and the coaching staff

Fax. Kerr didn’t give him minutes despite him fitting well with Curry. At one point teams had to pick a heir poison trying either guard Curry or Wiseman. They sure could use him against teams like The Lakers,Suns & Kings
Warriors are in luxury tax hell and if they extended Wiseman for next year at $13 million, they would have to pay an extra $80 million in taxes. That is way too much for a raw backup center. That’s the difference between a championship team and a lottery team.
@@OlDirtyRonthe warriors are 18-0 in western conference playoff series since 2014. Curry and Thompson have made the finals every year they were actually playing
Wow. Pacers defense is ass. Wiseman still can't (or won't) set a decent screen. When the hookshot is falling he is a serviceable center. I would love to see him stop trying 3's (he shoots 23% from deep), but it seems he's determined to take at least one 3PA each game.
