As someone who watched the 90s Flash was it was new and airing on TV him coming back after 30 years and confirming he did marry Tina made me insanely happy. They didn't need to do that but that fan service was much appreciated.

@@Blackfeet The founder of Mercury Labs. She is played by the same actress from the 90s Flash series into the new Arrowverse. Only difference is the time dilation of both shows. In the 90s, she was young and married John Wesley Shipp's Barry Allen. In the modern day, she is old and did not marry Grant Gustin's Barry Allen because, well, he was not born at her time.
The 90s Flash was a great show but made a sensational return in the arrowverse. ❤️

They had it where not only did he die a hero but quite literally died passing the torch to the new Flash. That's some good writing.
The monitor teleporting Earth 90 Barry away was the single most frustrating thing about the else world's cross over
And Mar Novu made things worse as he sent Barry to the Netherverse.
And guess who found him and used Earth-90 Barry Allen to power the treadmill and destroy Earth-2?
This is what made the Arrowverse so special how they were able to pull in and celebrate all of the other DC shows and movies like the 90s Flash, Smallville,Stargirl,Titans and Doom Patrol all of this what made the Arrowverse so special and why it’ll all be near and dear to my heart no not all the shows are perfect especially in the past few years but they knew how to celebrate these characters in a way that movies hasn’t always been able to do.
The movies compared to CW had no patience. Imagine if they took the time and really built everything together and stop competing with Marvel for a moment. COIE will be side by side with Endgame or Infinity War as the grand cinema of our generation! I hope hope, James Gunn taking over has a plan to make the Arrowverse somewhat connected. Or at least attempt at something similar.
Arrow was so damn good
Wym it seemed like they crapped all over the old series. 90s flash didn't do a thing, gets kidnapped and forced to run to construct a super weapon. Finally he dies. Batman comes back as Kevin convoy and ends up being evil, and for some reason he has a shirtless Luke in his home. Gets killed by being kicked by batwoman and for no reason apparently as the guy wasn't even the person they were looking for. Superman returns loses everyone and gets yeeted by lex. Smallville superman gives up his powers and gets erased from existence.
and they even brought in the movie Flash...

I heard the 90’s theme in Crisis crossover. I didn’t notice it the Elseworld crossover until I watched this video. Had my earbuds in/easier to notice the distinctive music.

I geeked out hard when he came back in the Arrowverse. Say what you will about the Arrowverse, crossovers like this were one of the things it did best. All the parts John Wesley Shipp played were gold. I watched the 1990 series back in the day and loved it. I was so bummed when it didn't get a season 2. This is the closest thing we could've gotten to a conclusion.

Agreed.the ending of the Flash was objectively bad. But the arrow verse as a whole experience was a fun ride, the Flash included. The cross overs, the many Easter eggs, the risks they took with the goofy characters. Each show felt unique too. Unlike the starters or marvel shows. Kudos to the team and actors.
Possibly the greatest scene in all the DC cinematic/television universe.

That 90s flash show was one of the 1st I'd ever seen, loved the suit but I was like " this flash is Humongous" 😆

As great as it was to see Flash from the 90s show, it was such a shame that they chose to destroy Earth-2 and kill off Harry and Jesse off screen, especially Harry. The fact they discussed it so quickly in a single side comment shows that they didn’t need him to die for motivation or anything, it felt unnecessary in the story and it’s sad it happened like this. He didn’t deserve that, his character was one of the highlights from the best time of the show.
He didn’t actually die, he was absorbed into Nash Wells and then later into Timeless Wells

what i like about the arrow verse is how confident they are in their characters and their designs. the costumes are creative and true to the comics. how many shows would genuinely put a cosmic treadmill or an antimatter cannon?
i don’t love these shows for their writing or anything i just think they clearly believe in comics and they don’t care about being goofy or anything. sincerity shows through and i recognize it and appreciate it.
Why I think their multiverse better than movie version?? Especially the CGI...OMG...only Bat Keaton save that movie

When I heard that John Wesley Shipp would reprise his role as Barry Allen/Flash, I knew that was the out of Flash dying in the Crisis.
I mistake we never saw them running together
OG flash costume is still #1 but I love all flashes
I always loved that this barry came back.
I was sad to see him die, but the fact that they recreated the way he died in the original comic, I loved- and i have a head canon that like how comics barry became the lightning thst turned him into the flash, earth 90 Barry became the lightning that turned Arroverse barry into the flash, particle accelerator be damned.
I like how the monitor sent him straight to the anti-monitor.

What saddens me is that he's such a cool character, and his return is such a dream come true for many fans, and yet he is such a minor footnote in the story.
In Elseworlds he was just a meaningless cameo that was literally flicked away, and in Crisis he literally died a pointless death (because the antimatter canon started up again) after essentially being forced to destroy the multiverse. Feel bad for the guy
I think that he should have cameoed in the flash 9 x 09 where Barry thinks of everyone he lost/died for him

Yeah would’ve made more sense but I think this was better because John’s Flash never had the send off he deserved i mean there was no season 2 not even a cliffhanger on the final episode of the 1st season if I remember correctly, the show just ended i mean season 1 ended and that was that pretty much, so yeah he probably could’ve mad a time remnant but I think the writers wanted to give John the send off he never got for his flash
