I took 2 practice tests from the ATI website, got around 70 on both with no studying or school for about a year. Used that to see what I needed to study and spent 3 days studying hard before my test and got a 86. The practice tests were a lot harder IMO. Brush up on algebra and chemistry, for A&P go hard on endocrine, nervous, and digestive system. I didn’t even bother with English or Reading and still managed to get decent scores.

Two weeks, give or take. I relied a lot on the app questions for the testing purposes, whilst using the book to refresh any knowledge that may have not been mentioned in the app. The TEAS itself wasn't tricky by any means. The math portion was an easy hundred for me, but I'd definitely recommend you to study it just in case. The science and reading portions are the main parts of the test that require the most attention, so be sure to study up for those subjects. As for English, all I can say is don't forget to study it. That section was my lowest part of my test, albeit high enough to still be considered 'Advanced'.

I take my exam in 3 weeks, you relieved a lot of my anxiety it lol the only thing I am concerned about is I haven't taken anatomy and physiology yet so the science portion is going to scare me!
I put it off until 2 weeks before the deadline. I studied for 1 day and basically relearned math. I was super panicked at first but then it all came back. I haven't taken math for over a decade. I got an 84.7. Science was my lowest. I took it a week later. I watched 2 mometrix youtube videos (english and science) and got an 87.3. I can only take it twice so hopefully that's enough 🤷♂️
The pocket Ati study app is no longer available. It’s best to stick with the book !!! I’m scheduled to take my test in 4 days! Congrats on getting in! I pray I do as well!
Just took the test this morning. My ACT got cancelled so I had to opt for the TEAS instead. I only studied for the ACT. So i found that the Math, English, and reading were surprisingly easy. But the science was nearly foreign. The ACTs science was much different than the teas. ACT mainly focused on reading scientific studies and coming to the right conclusions. Where as the TEAS was actual scientific knowledge that you needed to know. I completely bombed the science part. I can only hope that the other sections brought my overall score up. My school only requires a 55%
Thanks for all the info! I suck at chemistry so I'm going to go harder on that. All these videos say their second attempts at the teas, but all the programs around me allow 1st attempt only, 62% passing and 80% competitive 😥

I thought it would be basic stuff only to realize i didnt know the basic stuff. I still got into my number one pick nursing program though. So thank you for the tips!

I just took it today, and ended with with 67.3. I spent straight 3 days to study and do practice tests and i was confident about science but actually it was the lowest score:(. definitely will retake it before applying to dental hygiene schools

Schools use an average (composite) score for the TEAS exam, correct? For example: If I score 80% for each part, my score would be 80%, correct? If this is so, I was thinking they use the individual scores for each part, not the overall.
One of the schools I am applying to requires a minimum overall score, and a minimum score on the English and Language Usage, as well as a minimum on the Reading portion. You may want to check the program you're wanting to apply to for their requirements. HTH!

Really? I wasn't aware of that. I take my test Saturday & was told they will call me on Wednesday for a test run on my computer. It's to see if they can hear me & I can hear them. Also to make sure my computer (MacBook Air) is compatible with the program.
Yes! I too have a Mac (and I downloaded Chrome) and I took the test a few days ago. Unfortunately, it heats up and the fan is really loud when you take the exam, which is distracting.

If the schools are offering it during Covid, it'll be online proctored (at home). Generally, it is taken on site. You would have to check with your school to see.

They do not give you any formulas! I recommend doing practice tests and knowing those formulas!

I just took it today, and ended with with 67.3. I spent straight 3 days to study and do practice tests and i was confident about science but actually it was the lowest score:(. definitely will retake it before applying to dental hygiene schools

Schools use an average (composite) score for the TEAS exam, correct? For example: If I score 80% for each part, my score would be 80%, correct? If this is so, I was thinking they use the individual scores for each part, not the overall.
One of the schools I am applying to requires a minimum overall score, and a minimum score on the English and Language Usage, as well as a minimum on the Reading portion. You may want to check the program you're wanting to apply to for their requirements. HTH!

@@alexandr_9hotography I just got the app, I head that the math is really only basic algebra, and for science I heard it is a little more complicated, there are some anatomy questions and apparently it is more intensive. I'm not sure what to focus on either.

Did you do your test online? I have a MacBook Pro without Chrome and it says you need Chrome for the test to work online.
Really? I wasn't aware of that. I take my test Saturday & was told they will call me on Wednesday for a test run on my computer. It's to see if they can hear me & I can hear them. Also to make sure my computer (MacBook Air) is compatible with the program.
Yes! I too have a Mac (and I downloaded Chrome) and I took the test a few days ago. Unfortunately, it heats up and the fan is really loud when you take the exam, which is distracting.

I think it differs. My school says if you fail it once then you can retake it in 3 weeks, and if you fail the second time you have to wait a year🙃

where are you from that the minumum is 62% my nursing school is minumum 86%. my first score was a 78 and they dont even consider you at all!
Since it’s an ADN program it’s less than a score! For BSN it is much higher! Again you just get considered and they take only 30 people!

Lmao the teas exam literally asks you questions like how wide is a doorway. Spend 45 minutes on khan academy and also measure one of your doorways. You're set.

Man! My school wants a minimum of an 82% to get into the RN program.
I know its crazy! all schools are very different! Some schools do not even take the TEAS!

i already took mine and some were the same. ill say about 25% of the science you can find in the practice test
