i rebuilt mine using regular hoses and elbows. Probably more durable than the plastic those things are made of. mine had a big hole in the back and fell apart when removing..actually made removing it easy. Also made my own catch can. i dont plan on needing to ever need to change the pcv valve again with my setup...over 15k miles and still rattles like new.
I'd be interested to see how you did this, I've got a 98 Formula and getting the original part to where I am cost an arm and leg. I'd also like to know hot to remove the old hose. This video shows the injector harness removed, but I am not sure how to do this and if it's risky??

I didnt have to remove the bracket for the flying saucer just removed the front nut and bent the bracket up carefully and then bent it back down the flying saucer is an air control valve this job is very diffucult make sure you pack a lunch lol

@Little Miss Sunshine yes it does. and no, it is very simple. Took me 10 seconds. The pcv valve you're wanting to replace is on the passenger side of the throttle body. In the part of the hose that bulges slightly
@Little Miss Sunshine and one more thing... I replaced all that cheap plastic and rubber crap with fuel hoses and a brass t fitting. Heat resistant and lasts a lot longer 😂

I deleted my pcv routing by puting an ls6 valley cover and with my long tube headers i was able to delete the secondary air.

Mine is a 99, but I dont see that plastic egr valve? My hose goes to a pump under the driver side bumper? Can someone tell me why mine is different?
Because in 2001 GM put LS6 intake manifold on the LS1.
GM was able to do away with the EGR system by a new design of the heads and intake

Probably to eliminate static charge created by the movement of the ball inside the valve

What was the reason for changing out this line?? Was it leaking oil into throttle body?

Yeah it was clogged at the PCV end and the elbow was so deteriorated that it fell apart

Not an 01. Or an SS from factory. 01s don't have an EGR. They switched to ls6 heads and intake manifold which doesn't have EGR
You're right it's a 2000 or a late 99. I think the SS badging and engine swap were done at a dealer in Oregon according to the owner

An oil catch can is your best option, however. A good catch can on eBay is around $30-$50
