Hi, to align graphics like shapes, you can use the same steps shown in this video. If you're working with a graphics template in Premiere Pro, just double-click on it to open the properties panel. Then, press Shift and select all the elements you want to align, and you can align them together. If you're aligning an After Effects motion graphics the align option doesn't come up you'll have to change the x, y position and scale as needed. It’s often handy to use Guides and Rulers for precise placement. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! 👍😊
No problem! I think you might hate the next update even more... I heard they're making the Type Tool require two tools. First, you’ll need to use the Shape Tool to create the text box, then the Type Tool to add text. Just kidding... maybe.. 😃
Thanks for that. I thought I was losing my mind when I couldn't find the graphics tab. I work with text a lot so it really upset me when I didn't see it. I'm not sure why they felt the need to remove it and then not tell us where the features were, but that's why I don't run the company.
No worries-glad you found it helpful! It would be so handy if Premiere Pro included a quick tutorial on new features each time you logged into an updated version, right? Maybe someday they’ll add that feature! 🤞✨
My problem is that the align options have seemingly vanished for me! I cannot find it anywhere even after resetting the workspace, or when looking at different texts.
@imapota9312 Also, are you remembering that once you double click on your text and the properties panel comes up, you need to then click on your text within the properties panel for the align options to come up. Hopefully, this is your issue! 🤞
@imapota9312 are you using the most updated version of Premiere Pro? The properties panel was only added to the latest Premiere Pro update. Align is under essential graphics in older versions.
Thanks for the feedback, Jonathan! I'm essentially using the Editing workspace with a few custom tweaks. To get the Properties panel up on the left corner like I have it, just go to Window > Properties and turn it on. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks again for the feedback! 🙏😊
Nope, didn't work for me. Double click on my text layer opens up not Properties panel, but Graphics. And the second is there is no align option on my Transform/Properties. I use Premier Pro Beta 2024. Do you have any suggestion where else there could be an alignment?
@born2bequeens Hi, Thanks for the info. I think you'll just need to select the text layer and then go to the 'essential graphics' panel. If you don't see 'essential graphics' go up to 'window' and ensure it's turned on. In the essential graphics panel, ensure you're in the 'edit' window. Hope this helps! 🤞 Please feel to ask if you need any other help! 😊
@@motionades Thank you for the prompt reply! It turned out to be that Essentials Graphic is missing from properties panels and Windows workspaces. They've rebuilt so the Properties panel is where we change/set properties but I can't find Align there.
Great you've found that you have the properties panel. Once you've selected your text with the properties panel open, you need to then select your text within the properties panel as shown in this tutorial at 00.27. Hope this helps! 🤞
Thanks for watching! 🔥 If you have any questions or need further clarification, drop a comment 💬-I’ll do my best to help! 🙌
Thanks for this video. How do I align graphics though??

@@motionades it's a png. In the end I just drew a rectangle of the size of the graphic and aligned that and then drew guides... annoying
THANK YOU - I absolutely hate this update.

Thank you! This is why I hate updating, everything just changes....
No worries. I'm glad it was helpful! Feel free to ask if any future updates cause confusion, and I'll do my best to help! 👌

@imapota9312 That's odd... Have you tried going up to window's and turning on properties?

@@motionades I dont see Properties anywhere under Windows, unfortunately
@@motionades Thank you that seemed to help! Do you know how to align images or videos as well? I cant seem to solve this issue. Thanks!

Thanks! Why the hell did they even change this
No worries! I know, right? 🤷
It would be helpful if you said what window/view mode you are in when giving the tutorial.

When I double click it doesnt appear T_T
Not sure why that is for you, but a workaround is going up to windows and turning on properties! Hope this helps! 🙏
