One thing that bothered me about van camping was how to really stay warm on cold nights. I'm thrilled with your solution of having one sleeping bag inside another! That's so simple and it's brilliant! I was thinking about low voltage electric blankets but that just didn't feel right for me. I would like more ideas, safe ideas about how to keep the inside warm during a cold day though. I'm thinking running a propane stove just long enough to warm all the solid areas and things in my van (with cracked windows of course) and then turning the heat off and closing up the van. With a warm floor, ceiling etc., that should help for a few hours I think? And then do it all again when needed? And/or the obvious, running the motor and heater at times. I do know to park facing the sun.

You always are so straight forward with information and I'm sure you motivate others. I love your personality and just go do it attitude. After 7 months of work, my RV is finally finished. What are your hopes and dreams for the days ahead?

Thank you. I recently started a new job and for now I'm going to stay put for a while. Hopefully gas comes back down by then so it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to go explore. Not much planned for now.
