Natural gas is a growing market, I agree. But I think LNG is quite inefficient. Cooling down to -161 °C for transport, keep the temperature low at the transport and then you have to evaporize again. For me that makes only sense where you have no pipeline connection and no other clean energy source, eg. in Corsica. They changed from fuel oil to LNG. .
LNG stock discussion idea: Tellurian (TELL), which has expressed interest in developing LNG for export to India's consumer market. Of course, it's still several years away from coming to pass, if it does occur. Cf: Howdy Modi extravaganza event.
One interesting company in this sector is Delphi Shipping. Low debt, dry bulk emphasis, and they specialize in mid to long distance transport of the dry goods. In particular steel transport is a major asset. I like the company, I'm invested in it(for reasons as listed above) but I think it might make an interesting video.
Hello Sven Great video , i am currently studying freight forwarding and international supply chain in school so is funny seeing you talk about this. Once again you have chosen a great sector . did you know 70% of costs for the ship is fuel and they are just now bring out panamax ships with 17000+ container capacity for trading between Europe and Asia
interesting company, but too risky and too risky industry. Shipping is dependent on gas, and demand and supply, and gas prices thus as well. So its doubly risky. Nice video as always!
Natural Gas is consumed where there already are existing infrastructures to commercialize it. Those markets already have access to pipelines. What will happen to Nat Gas prices if LNG gets really big before new markets get the necessary infrastructure to distribute Nat Gas?
Interesting! I already have some exposure to gass, so I don't think I will pick up shares, but good analysis! Yesterday by accident I came across L Brands (LB), and the stock has crashed over 80% since 2015. However, it is now at a point, where it seems to have a good risk/reward level. They have sold some of the side businesses and are focussing more on the 2 core businesses. Anyway, I am going to do some more research, bc I think there might be good value! I just wondered if you have looked at it resently?
Let's not forget John Fredrikson is the same guy backing seadrill, which was a fucking fiasco. I think LNG is the future of energy transition, next to renewables, but this guy is dodge as fuck.
Great Video...I bought Flex 2-1-22 at 19.70 w/15% Dividend...Fantastic management....
thanks for sharing
This one aged well Sven

good point
I invest %100 in HMLP. It has a %17 dividend now. Its a shell company. Hogh a parent company leases ships from them.
Still remember when oil was expensive before 2014, LNG became quite popular

i know, always new ships, not a bad study you picked:-)

It might be something to allocate 1 or 2% of your portfolio, not more in my opinion :)
Curious of your thoughts on Arc Resources, a Canadian natural gas/LNG producer
I do research, but I am not a machine - can only do a few a day:-(
@@Value-Investing Not to worry! Worth looking at in my opinion if you get the chance. I appreciate all of the work that you do!

Can you please do containership industry video?

financial education had it as a favorite stock a while ago, good luck:-)
@@Value-Investing Thanks, I will have a look!
Flex LNG revenues might be correlated to Gazprom's.
Think CNG is a better investment Sven
also Sven how can it compete with Russian gas pipelines ? With Shipping & freezing costs
it can't, it is based on huge demand and cheap US production
i already invested in global LNG its called gazprom
don't say:-)
What happened with yours shares now ? Do you have access?
And What About Teekay?👋🏼
And their competitor KNOP(11% yield, 1.5× coverage, & financially conservative.)
didn't meet my expectations

frontline too, and a few others :-)))
BTW, that is shipping
What are you thoughts on this company now?
the same :-)
That does not seem to be value with margin of safety...
the scrap value of the ships could be your margin of safety, or the cost to build them, but always risky shipping is.
As soon as you highlight a stock in your video that stock falls off a cliff..
it went up 20% yesterday
@@Value-Investing already nice gains. The impact of us viewers? : )
Well, what did I tell you :)
Very volatile business
