It would be cool to see if the military could host a competition for professional chefs to design a MRE and then incorporate the winning ones into rotation. I agree with the sentiment that the people putting their lives on the line should be given better options.
I couldnt agree more!!! America has to prioritize what they are giving the military to eat… look at what south korea does and take note! (You should do a collab with Mythical Kitchen since they made a fancy MRE)
I like these SDRs for what they are. Basic food for an emergency. They were implemented in 2023 for disaster relief. It’s a mil spec civilian relief ration. The smoothies are a pretty cool component. Thanks for another great video!!
It's great to find a new mre/ration taste-test vid after a long day at work! Always a bonus when Bruno takes part; "Maybe later?" ""That's awkward..." 😸
When I was in my teens and twenties, I was in the Civil Air Patrol. The Air Force would give us one regular MRE, a Humanitarian Ration and a hot meal for dinner. When we go on Practice Search And Rescue Missions. This was a time we could train, Gather with other Units from other states. Man did I have fun. Great video today Tyler and Bruno.
'Civilians take the people in the military for granted'. Yes. Oh how do I wish for a world where war can be a relict of old old times. (Also the face you made at about 8 to 8:33mins, that would be an awesome gif.)
Care package that's fits with budget, calories and shelf-life, vegan friendly but still would be something anyone would be happy enough with. I would love to see what you guys come up with. Maybe do a viewers poll even?
I had a rough day, but surprise….Tyler and Bruno! I love all the content but the funny that you come up with is amazing! Thank you for this today!!!! ❤❤❤
It’s actually kind of embarrassing that in this country with all our resources we can’t feed our soldiers better. I’ve tried a few and though they’re edible, they’re nothing to write home about(unless you’re complaining and begging for something good). I think the pizza ones are the biggest joke. It’s like spread a little red dye and a couple flakes of cheese on a pop tart and call it pizza. Who ever ate one and said afterward, boy now I’m stuffed,I can’t eat another bite. Great video you guys,👍👍
I'd suggest other military personnel would have something to say about the US being the "most badass" :) I speak in lighthearted fun, the troops in the ADF, and our allies, including the US, thank you for your service. As of other MREs, I'd like to see humanitarian/survival rations from other nations, including a UN humanitarian and refugee MRE. I'm ex Rural Firefighter Service in my part of Australia, a volunteering firefighting organisation, and after a major fire event, we, at the brigade level at least, use the likes of local charitable organisations, local businesses, and our catering brigades to help feed victims of these fire events. I believe the SES (State Emergency Service, a nationwide, state run, volunteer rescue organisation) do similar after major flood and storm events. I can't comment on the ADF, and what they provide during major disasters, etc.
Don't forget, the average US soldier, most of the time, is getting their food from a field kitchen, where the meals served are usually way better than those served to other militaries. The MREs, survivor rations, etc, are for emergencies or field soldiers. On the other hand, they do appear to be really heavy on the sugar and preservatives compared to those of other nations. Eating three of those a day must really turn the stomach. Quantity and calories over quality I guess. Also, most other nations try hard to include flavours, dishes and snacks from home for morale, with lots of spicy or comforting items.
That's if you're on FOB. If in the field, depending on threats, you may be lucky and get hot chow in mermite canisters (hot glop) for breakfast, MRE for lunch, and more glop from a merimite canister for dinner....if it doesn't get lost or show up hours late. Else-wise...MREs 3 times a day, along with what ever pogey bait you have.
's probably bolstered with sugar & maltodextrin to make up for calories lost while food might not always be available edit: i forgot to state that other places might have around the same amount of sugar in their rations but it tends to be spread out between different components, such as boiled sweets, chocolate bars, or other different sides instead
They reason the other country’s have good mre because they don’t have to put any money towards their defense because they know we have their back where all of the US’s money actually goes towards defense
somehow i dont fully believe that you (tyler) liked that protein bar so much 🤣, tried something similiar to the cracker challenge failed miserably😂, so the reason for so many american soldiers beeing deployed is actualy getting a hand on the MRE`s of other countrys 😄 greetings out of germany 😆
Care package video. Prayers for hurricane victims
Definitely a care package video please! Thank you for all these videos.
Will film that one asap!
Bruno shouting Carl in every video is my new favourite thing. Makes me giggle everytime. Simple pleasures!
After googling it, your guess is correct sunflower seeds rarely cause allergic reaction.

Y'all are awesome. Thank you for being the highlight of my day!
Informative and hilarious! Thank you for helping those of us not familiar with the different types of MREs. Blessings!

You should do a Top Gear style rankings board. A bunch of magnets. Super easy!
Thanks
Thank you, Bruno! Spoons should not hurt your mouth when you’re eating. Love the care package idea. Sent one once and had no clue what to put in it

Care packages are an excellent idea because I’m sure many people don’t know what to include for a general package
Please do the care package video with info on how to actually send one

A perfect care package inventory-episode would be great❤
Nice Benchmade 940 auto
Love the care package video idea!!!!
The moustache adds +3 charisma
Food challenges could be a good way to diversify the channel and not be stuck on just MREs forever, even though we love the MREs.

I gagged at the idea of sweet potato and grape smoothie! That’s the oddest combination!

These rations are for disaster relief. Created in late 2023. They were designed as a mil spec civilian ration.
These foods might be useful for those who got effective by the hurricane 😢

As long as it's not Vegemite based....😆
Now if we can show sizing and scale results of what comes out the other end, we'll have a better idea of what digests and what is to be avoided...🥴
I agree with Bruno, it’s been disappointing to see how our military MREs compare to other countries. Our armed forces deserve better.
It ticks all sorts of boxes
Meat free
Pork free
Peanut free
Vegetarian
One meal to rule them all
Care package I got back in 2002:
Dip, pop tarts, soft pillow, and literature of an adult nature.

I think you've spoiled yourselves by eating too many "better" MRE's from other countries if you find the USA ones too sweet now 🤣
Hahah facts

Great Vid. Bruno is Hilarious. love y'all. keep up tha amazing vids.
"These do not contain meat..."
So beans peas and lentils?
Gas mask on!! 😂

I don't understand adding so much sugar to increase the calorie amount but not being concerned about the nutrition
" oh those are potato's "
I am watching two grown men in this video eat baby food through a straw. I need a life. But keep the videos coming!
You should do a reaction video to the movie Renaissance Men with Danny de Vito. That'll be worth watching.
I would starve. I hate all beans 😊
Who would these survivor rations be given to?
Basically, if you have to eat any of these meals, you are screwed.
i lke your videos with the rednek
Yeehaw!
My son grabs a 5lb bag of starburst and a case of monsters for the field. 😂 (FA)
USA , USA , USA 🥘🍲🥙🍕🍑
😢😢😢 is taking you soooo long to post videos
What you ate isn't what the American military eats. They eat brown bag MREs usually, with exceptions.
Suggest you watch from the beginning.
@@kevinroche3334 I did. You watch the end.
